Terminology
Ability: what a supernatural power can do
Basic powers: supernatural abilities that are the bare minimum all power players can do supernaturally; team powers
Basement: location of a founder of a league to reside, overlook, and manipulate the power player system of their league. Mainly located below the headquarters of the league’s headquarters, hence the name. Must be hidden due to the supernatural universe’s rule of being esoteric
Companion Allegiance: ability two power players have to combine physically into one person to achieve a new, more potent supernatural ability
Enhanced powers: powers that only a few selected have where their basic powers are augmented or transformed into new supernatural abilities; super form, companion allegiance
Evil: adjective used to describe a society or power player that strives to take over their or other leagues
Founder: the one who creates a league; also manages with the league’s team powers and power players’ supernatural statuses
Good: adjective used to describe a society or power player that fights to protect their or other leagues from any threat
Headquarters: location of a society to reside, train, and meet to fulfill their tasks. Mainly located outside of the Master’s or league’s headquarter’s city. Must be hidden due to the supernatural universe’s rule of being esoteric
League Leaders: the committee of the supernatural professional sports universe. They oversee all of the professional sports founders, their handling on powers, and their power players. They also regulate the supernatural rules.
League Ruler: the backup of the league who obtains nigh-omnipotence or another enhanced power that no other power player has in the league to protect the league from any threat
Master: the leader of a society
Mentor: in companion allegiance, the one who is supernaturally in the wielder and guides them to use the powers
Merge: the act of companion allegiance
Merger: informal, one who has the ability of companion allegiance
Natural universe: title used to describe the intangible realm of the world where the supernatural is not known in their present universe
Neutral: adjective used to describe a power player that does not partake in taking over or protecting the league; the majority of league’s power players
Non-affiliated powers: powers that are outside the power player system. Not bestowed by founders, usually bestowed by scientists
Non-power player: one who does not possess the team powers. Usually used to describe those who once had team powers or if a group of power players are discussing one without team powers
Original powers: in the process of changing team powers, the previous team power before it is altered
Power player: one member of a team who possesses the team powers of their team. Can be in any position or status of the team
Power player system: the structure of power players within their teams and possession of the team powers. Has a one power player-one team ratio. Extremely critical for the supernatural universe to work smoothly.
Real universe: title used to describe the intangible realm of the world where the supernatural is not known; the universe you are in right now
Redefined powers: in the process of changing team powers, the team power that has been altered to better fit the team nickname, colour scheme, or mascot or have better abilities to be equal with other team powers
Ruler: another title for “League Ruler”
Right-Hand Ruler: another title for “League Ruler”
Scientist: a position of a society where one creates, modifies, or repairs technology needed to fight, communicate, etc. for a society
Sidekick: a position filled by multiple power players in a society who do not have a specific role
Society: a group of power players bounded by one common goal
Spy: a position of a society where one secretly obtains information on the opposing society
Status: the supernatural state or position of a hockey player or team in a league
Super form: a supernatural state of being where a power player’s powers are drastically enhanced; all power players have the ability to acquire this state, but it is extremely difficult to unlock
Supernatural universe: title used to describe the intangible universe where the supernatural is known and thrives.
Team powers: the supernatural abilities used to protect the league, associated with the team’s nickname, colours, or mascot
Trophy: the holder or powerhouse of the supernatural powers of each league. Where supernatural powers are placed and controlled.
