"Heigh ho! Heigh ho!"

After the brief intermission, both teams headed back to the ice for the second period and the continuation of their match for the gold medal.

"Heigh ho! Heigh ho! It's off to work we go!" Tyler sang as Team Canada marched through the tunnel and to the ice. "Cause we're gonna win the gold today! Heigh ho! Heigh ho! Heigh ho! Heigh ho!!!"

The hockey players exchanged odd looks as they seated themselves on the bench.

"Alright, here we go. Let's do this!!" Ryan yelled to his team from the bench as the puck was dropped.

Jeff watched intensely from the bench until it was his turn to play.

"Hey," Tyler turned to Jeff as they climbed over the boards and onto the ice at the turn of the shift. "Stay open so I can just pass it to you. Got it?"

Jeff nodded at him as he skated to the faceoff circle where the rest of the players were waiting.

He leaned over and placed his stick on the ice. "Got it."

At the sound of the whistle, the puck was dropped.

Moving his feet quickly, Jeff glided across the ice to an open spot for Tyler to pass to him.

"Figure skater," a deep voice jeered in a heavy accent.

Jeff kept his eyes on the puck at the end of Tyler's stick as Tyler skated closer to him.

Jeff propelled himself forward and tapped his stick on the ice. "Come on, come on!!"

He shifted his body to skate backwards before feeling a rough push against his back, sending him to crash against the boards.

"You're in wrong place," the deep voice sneered at him.

Jeff quickly pushed himself off the boards and searched the ice for the puck.

Team Sweden had now gained possession of the puck and was heading toward the Canadian goalie.

With full force, Jeff skated to the other side of the rink. It wasn't long until he could hear the sound of blades skating closely behind him.

A stick was suddenly held out in front of skates from behind.

Jeff's eyes widened.

At the speed he was skating at, there was no stopping to avoid tripping over the stick.

Jeff took in a deep breath before leaping off the ground. He spun in the air, one, two, three complete times before landing with perfect control on one foot and successfully avoiding tripping. His breathing was ragged as he continued skating toward the net, determined to stop Sweden from scoring.

"Hey, wrong place for that," a deep voice mocked before Jeff was roughly pushed from behind.

Jeff wobbled on his skates before quickly regaining his balance and turning around to face Victor Hedman. "Hey, rest easy, man!" he told him sternly.

"Hey, you go back to skating like girl!" the Swede shot back before placing his hands on Jeff's shoulders and pushing him back.

Jeff stumbled backwards, but kept his eyes on his opponent. "It's a hockey game, buddy. Just play the game!" He lowered his eyebrows at him.

The Swedish athlete took another step toward Jeff before his path was suddenly blocked.

Jeff shifted his eyes to see Tyler standing in between him and the Swede.

"Hey, beat it, big guy," Tyler told him dismissively before shoving him in the shoulders.

"What? Dancer can't fight? Too scared?" Victor mocked as he kept his eyes on Jeff.

Tyler rushed up to the Swede and grabbed him roughly by the collar.

"Hey! Both of you! Knock it off! Knock it off right now!"

Jeff turned around to see the referee skating up to them, holding the whistle up to his mouth.

Coming in between Tyler and the Swedish hockey player, the official separated the two, giving Team Sweden a penalty.

"What?!" Victor cried.

"You heard him," Tyler yelled at him. "Beat it!"

Jeff skated back to the bench with Tyler following close behind as the play resumed.

"You alright?" Tyler asked Jeff as he took a sip from a water bottle.

"Yeah. That's nothing." Jeff shrugged.

"You sure? I heard the stuff he was saying." Tyler raised an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah, it doesn't bother me."

"Alright, cool."

The crowd on the other side suddenly erupted into cheers. Jeff and Tyler looked up to see the players in yellow and blue jerseys all huddled in the corner as they high-fived each other with big smiles.

The Canadian hockey players slowly skated to the center of the ice with their heads hung low.

"Hey, it's only the second period! It's alright!!" Sidney told his team as he hopped over the boards and onto the ice.

Tyler and Jeff followed his actions, joining him on the ice.

Jeff craned his neck to look up at the scoreboard to see the dimly lit red digital numbers indicating both teams were tied at a goal a piece.

"We got this, guys," he called out to his four fellow teammates with him on the ice as he prepared for the faceoff.

At the drop of the puck, Jeff skated rapidly toward the opponent's net, ready to put the puck in the net when it came his way.

However, Sweden remained in possession of the puck on the other side of the ice, not letting the puck pass the blue line once.

With a heavy sigh, Jeff skated to the other side of the ice to help his team regain possession of the puck.

The Swedish players passed the puck swiftly to each other, sending the Canadians skating back and forth hopelessly chasing it until the horn sounded.

The Canadian hockey players trudged off the ice and into the tunnel as they headed back to the locker rooms.

Tyler swung his stick against the wall, causing a loud whack to echo through the hallway and breaking the stick in half. "Do you know how many chances we had?!" he cried in frustration.

"And we missed them!!"

Jeff plopped himself on the bench in front of his stall and removed his helmet. "Guys, it's not like it's over. We still got a period left," he told his teammates as he ran his hand through his damp, brown hair.

"Twenty more minutes, boys!! Let's go!!" Sidney clapped his hands as he stood in the center of the room. "Let's get that gold!!"

The anticipation was high as both teams stepped out on the ice for the final time ever in the Olympics. The crowd cheered loudly. The players on the bench opted for jumping up and down, rather than sitting. The goaltenders skated in circles around their net until crouching into position.

"Twenty more minutes. Let's play clean, and let's play fair, men," the referee told the two teams as he skated to the center of the faceoff.

Sidney stood across from the Team Sweden's captain, intensely eyeing the puck in the referee's hand. Jeff lowered himself at the waist, placing his stick in the ice as he awaited for the referee's signal.

With a tweet of the whistle, the puck hit the ice and Sidney immediately moved his stick to pass the puck back to his teammates.

Jeff skated at high speed, alongside Tyler as he kept steady control of the puck. Tyler passed the puck to Jeff. Jeff reached his stick out to fetch the puck. A blur of yellow and blue suddenly whizzed past him and stole the puck before Jeff could reach it.

Jeff grit his teeth before lightly turning on his feet and skating down the ice.

The whistle eventually sounded and Jeff, Tyler, and Sidney slowly skated to the bench.

"Sorry, guys. I should've had that," Jeff told Tyler and Sidney with a sigh as they settled on the bench.

"Don't sweat it, dude. We have a chance here," Sidney nodded to the ice where their teammates had gained possession of the puck and were now skating rapidly down the ice toward the net.

"Yeah!! All the way! Let's go!!" Tyler cheered as he stood from his seat. "Come on! Shoot it! Shoot it!!!"

The Canadian teammate swung his stick behind him, before bringing it forward with full force and sending the puck toward the net. The puck drifted into the air, colliding with the red goal post and ricocheting back onto the ice.

The whole bench groaned along with the audience as Team Sweden took control of the puck and passed it to each other as they skated down the ice.

"They can't score here. They can't score. Come on, goalie. Come on, goalie," Tyler chanted under his breath as he and Scott watched the game anxiously.

Jeff slid to the edge of his seat as a Swedish hockey player weaved around the Canadian defensemen with ease. Carey Price, the Canadian goalie, slid forward out of his net as he came toward the opponent. The Swede shot the puck with force.

Jeff, Tyler, and Sidney held their breath as their eyes followed the puck float to the right of the net.

Reaching out to his right as far as he can, Carey extended his hand out, catching the puck perfectly in his glove.

"Yeah, Pricer!!" Tyler cheered loudly before climbing over the boards. "Alright, let's go, boys! Let's go!!"
