Leaving For A New Beginning
We Got Some Great News
A TWO WEEKS LATER
"Mika, we got some great news!" Mika's agent put his arm on her back, showing his excitement of the topic.
"What is it this time Ryan?" She playfully took a jab at him, as he was constantly overhyped about everything.
"We got one of the best producers in the world. We managed to get her to come down from British Columbia. She's worked with many major artists like, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Celine Dion, Camila Cabello, and many more." Ryan was very giggly.
After Ryan finished his sentence, Mika noticed someone open the door and walk in.
"Mika! Here she is!!"
The woman had and aura of confidence, which was quite intimidating. Along with the obvious confident look, she was at least 5'9" (176cm). Her brown eyes were piercing, yet everything about her was gorgeous. She didn't look fake, but very realistic. She wasn't extremely thin, but a bit thicker in the chest and hips, which probably made guys crazy. She looked young, but not too young.
"You must be Mikalynn, it's such a privilege to meet you!" She spoke with a very subtle Northern accent, her attitude genuine.
"You can call me Mika. Nice to meet you too?" Mika responded slightly confused, not knowing who this woman was.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Kassiani Carmello, but feel free to call me Kassi."
"So Kassi, how long have you been doing this?"
"Wow, uhm, since I was sixteen, so four years now." Kassi thought back, her response catching Mika off guard.
"Wait, you're only twenty!" Mika looked at her in disbelief, she was that young?
They both turned their heads as Mika's agent walked out of the room, letting the two get to know each other. After chatting for a while Kassi finally asked a business related question. "So when do you want to start this whole producing process, this week or what?"
"Well, I'm leaving tonight to go to Brooklyn to see my boyfriend, so not this week." Mika had a slightly ashamed look on her face, sorry for bringing her all the way out to Detriot and then leaving soon after.
"Oh cool! My boyfriend is out there too! What is yours doing there?" Kassi asked, out of pure curiousity, her hands folding together, biting the inside of her cheek.
"Oh, he doesn't work there. Just playing there on tomorrow for the season opener, then coming back to Detriot." Mika saw Kassi's confused look then cleared things up, "My boyfriend is Dylan Larkin of the Detriot Red Wings." She slightly bragged, then returned the question, "What does yours do in Brooklyn?"
"Oh! Uhm, he's an intern for an accounting company over there." Kassi's knee bounced, as she was getting fidgety.
"I apologize for not knowing your name." Mika laughed, Kassi joining her.
"You're definitely not the first, people mainly pay attention to the singers, not the people behind all the work. It's nice getting to know you, I have to get going now, I have to meet with a few more people today." Kassi stood up off the couch and walked out the door.
What Mika didn't know is that Kassi grabbed her bags outside of the door and headed off to the airport, to board the flight for Brooklyn, New York.
