His Teammate's Sister

Ever since Chris' ex-girlfriend left, Aly was feeling some mixed emotions. She was happy Francesca was out of the picture, but her stomach was extremely upset and she was barely eating, concerning both her mother and Kelly. There was both a flu epidemic as well as some illnesses spreading throughout Manhattan, plus with the constant stress of work, Aly figured that was what it could be.

While Jacob and Chris were at practice, and with John and Kristy back home, Aly and Kelly went out for brunch with some of the other wives in midtown. The team had a big game tomorrow afternoon against the Bruins and the boys wanted to make sure they were ready for a battle.

"Aly, honey? Are you feeling alright?" Therese, Hank's wife, worried.

Aly was slouched over, her head in her hands and feeling so weak, "Not really. I think something is hitting me and I am so sick."

Gracia rubbed her arm, "Have you been eating?"

"Ugh, no. Nothing appeals to me and I just don't want a thing, not even ginger ale. I have no appetite," Aly groaned.

Therese leaned over to Kelly and whispered, "She is feeling the same way I did when I was pregnant with Juli."

Kelly's eyes went wide, "Pregnant? What?! My brother will have a field day if he hears that. We just got him to accept Aly and Chris' relationship."

During brunch, Aly felt herself getting even worse so Kelly offered to take her future sister-in-law to the doctor to find out what may be going on.

At the Garden, Jacob and Brady were doing drills while Chris was hanging with Henrik, Mika, and defenseman Adam Fox. Jacob shot a puck to Brady, "What a past couple days."

Brady smiled, "I assume things are better with your sister."

"A little, yeah. I took Gracia's advice plus therapy has helped. My sister is really happy and I need to accept that," Jacob said.

Brady nodded, "Good. Your sister is a part of this family now too and we adore her."

Jacob looked over at Chris and nodded to himself, knowing his sister had a good guy.

Later that day, Aly was curled up on the couch in a blanket with a jug of ginger ale and watching Netflix. The doctors gave her a quick IV treatment in the office, as she had a severe stomach virus and was losing nutrients, but should be back to full strength soon. Kelly never mentioned what Therese said, but it was bothering her.

Jacob and Chris soon walked in, "Hello ladies."

Chris ran over to his girlfriend, "Baby, you okay?"

"Yeah, just got a nasty stomach bug. I went to the doctor and they gave me IV fluids. I'll be fine in a couple days," Aly stated.

Kelly whispered to Jacob what happened at brunch, but he kept his cool. There's no way Aly could be pregnant...right?
