His Teammate's Sister

Chapter 17

It was all over the news stations in Manhattan that Chris' ex-girlfriend was arrested on attempted murder charges as well as obstruction of justice due to the fact she tried to kill Aly with arsenic in her iced coffee and refusing to tell the police where her accomplice was. The front office at MSG were kind enough to pay for Aly and Chris to have a 24/7 security detail until Francesca's friend was caught, but without her speaking, it was going to be very difficult to track her down.

Aly and the team are in Las Vegas for their west coast road trip, hoping some hockey, nice weather and being away from New York for eight days would do everyone some good. Jess has been a true best friend and stuck by Aly's side since the very beginning and wanted to make sure her friend was safe at all costs.

The girls were getting some manicures done at the hotel spa while the team had breakfast together. Aly sunk into her chair to relax, "This is so needed."

"I agree. How are you feeling now?" Jess asked, looking at her friend.

Aly sighed, "I'm better, I just wish we knew who was doing this to me. I get that she's jealous I'm dating Chris and he wouldn't take her back, but this is such a low way to stoop."

"You're absolutely right. We are definitely going to find some way to identify her," Jess added.

Meanwhile, the team was at the big breakfast buffet on the other side of the hotel eating and chatting, as well as watching the news. With the Rangers being in town, the story made it over to Nevada.

"And now to sports. The New York Rangers are in town and will take on the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow at T-Mobile Arena. Police are still trying to track down a suspect in the attempted murder charge of Rangers' forward Chris Kreider's girlfriend, team reporter Alyson Jones. The couple states that Aly has recovered from her arsenic poisoning, but still want to take extra precautions until this person is caught. Due to Kreider's ex-girlfriend refusing to cooperate with police, there are still no leads at this time," the newscaster spoke.

Chris grunted, "I'm so freaking pissed at Frannie. She and her friend try to kill my girlfriend and now, the police offer her a plea deal to get help and she refused?!"

Jacob looked up with pure shock, "You didn't tell us this. What!?"

"Yeah, she met with the public defender and the police last night before we left. They offered her two years in jail, six months in a mental institution and a restraining order against me, and she said no. She nearly killed Aly," Chris answered.

Henrik reached over to his frustrated teammate, "Someone has to know something. We will find out."

"I don't know, man. The police told me they were going to bring a shrink in and try to reason with her," Chris huffed.

Since the team didn't have practice until tomorrow morning prior to the game, everyone decided to head to the infamous Las Vegas Strip and do some gambling. It was a gorgeous day in Nevada and everyone was excited to enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.

Some of the guys arrived in the lobby of the gorgeous Bellagio hotel and Brady looked around, "Uh, where are the girls? You did tell them this hotel, right?"

Not a moment later, in walked Aly and Jess. Jess was wearing a black and purple floral mini dress with gold heels while Aly wore a rainbow sequin mini skirt, a black cami top tucked in and some slick black heels. With so much happening, she wanted to take the opportunity to look and feel good for her man.

"Hey guys. You ready to have some fun?" Jess smiled.

Defenseman Tony DeAngelo has had a major crush on Jess since the team hired her and he thought she looked absolutely stunning, "Uh, yeah, sure. Hey Jess, want to go play some blackjack and get drinks?"

"Sure! See you guys later," Jess waved before heading off.

Jacob and Brady looked at each other before Brady finally spoke, "So, uhm, we're gonna hit up the poker tables."

That left just Aly and Chris in the lobby all by themselves. Aly did a sassy little twirl, "Well, what do you think?"

"What do I think?? Baby, you look breathtaking. Honestly, I don't want to gamble, I just want you. We can finally have some alone time without worry. Let's go see if we can rent a room for a bit and fool around," Chris smirked.

About twenty minutes pass and the hotel allowed Chris to rent the penthouse suite for a maximum only of two hours because Celine Dion was in town for a show tonight and uses that room to get ready prior to her event in the hotel's grand ballroom. The couple went all the way to the top of the hotel and Aly's mouth was on the floor once the door opened.

Aly walked all through the room, sweeping views of Vegas everywhere you looked, "This is stunning." She turned around and saw Chris unbuttoning his polo shirt, his shoes and jeans already off, "Hungry?"

"For you, always. Come here," Chris grinned, pulling her into him.

Chris gently pushed her on the bed, slightly off her skirt to see she wasn't wearing any panties and getting the hint she wanted him. Aly giggled quietly, "What? I want you."

"I can gladly see that," Chris smiled. He pulled down the straps of her cami top and saw her gorgeous D-breasts in full view. He buried his head in her chest, kissing and sucking as long and as hard as he could. He left hickeys in every open spot he could while one of his hands were inside of her.

Aly gripped the bedsheets with all her strength, "Chris, oh my god. That feels so good. Why do you tease me like this? Just give me what I want...you inside of me."

Just as the couple were about to get it on, Chris' phone rang. After taking the call, Chris came back to Aly, "Well..."

"What? Chris, what is it?" Aly worried.

Chris took a deep breath, "That was the police. Frannie's ready to talk. We have to go home now."

Who was the mastermind behind Aly's near death? Why was Frannie willing to confess?
