His Teammate's Sister

Chapter 7, Part One

Aly was beyond grateful that Kelly had her back in terms of dating Chris, but it really upset her that her brother was not as accepting. She understood his protection, but she is a grown woman now and she can date whoever she wants. Since the fight, Aly has barely spoken to her brother and she tries to find every reason to avoid interviewing him. Jacob's teammates also knew of the feud and they were hoping they could help Kelly mend things.

The team was on their charter bus, heading down to Washington D.C. ahead of tomorrow night's big game against Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals. Kelly wanted to go on the road to help out with her brother and future sister, but she had exams all weekend, but the Rangers had a five-game home stand coming up after this.

On the bus, Aly was sitting with Chris and listening to music on her phone while her boyfriend read. She looked down and noticed his hand on her thigh, "You're so sweet."

Chris kissed her cheek, "How are you feeling?"

"Still upset. Thanks for being my rock," Aly half smiled.

"Hey, anything for you. I got an idea! How about tomorrow, you and me get breakfast and before the game, we go museum hopping? I know how much you love Washington and history," Chris offered.

Aly felt herself blush, "That sounds amazing."

At the back end of the bus, Jacob was playing cards with Brady. The two of them have been friends for many years and were even roommates at the University of Minnesota together.

Jacob sighed, "Dude, what am I gonna do? My sister won't speak to me and our parents are furious that we're fighting."

"Jake, man, I know it's hard, but you need to let go of the leash. Aly is twenty-six and you need to let her be happy. Chris is a good dude and he really cares about her," Brady said.

"I know, I know. Hey, just out of wild curiosity, why did he break up with Francesca?" Jacob asked.

Brady took a breath, "Well, they were on and off for about five years, but when Rangers fans would meet Chris, she would get extremely jealous of female fans getting too close to him. He broke things off last January and we all thought he was done with her until she came to a game in March. They had a huge fight over the summer and he was officially through with her, so she moved back to Boston."

Jacob was stunned, "Woah, I didn't know it was that intense."

"Yeah, it was, but Jake, listen. Chris really cares about your sister. He looks at her the way I look at Gracia, and it's so pure. She's really happy and you need to accept it," Brady added.

"You're right. I'll swing by her hotel room tonight and talk to her," Jacob nodded.

The team and Aly arrived at their hotel about an hour before dinner and Henrik invited a bunch of them out to a steakhouse two blocks from their hotel. Everyone was tired from the bus ride, but at least it was a one-game trip before heading back to New York City for a while.

Aly collapsed on the bed, kicking off her shoes, "Holy hell am I tired."

Chris smirked and climbed on top of her, "Too tired for me?"

"Absolutely not. Come here you," Aly grinned, passionately kissing him and taking off his dress shirt.

A knock soon came at the door and Chris groaned, "Oh what the fuck? Who could that be?"

Aly sat up and fixed her hair, "Tell them to go away."

Chris looked through the peephole, "It's your brother."

Can Aly and Jacob mend their relationship?
