His Teammate's Sister

Chapter 8

Aly was really happy that Jacob was finally accepting of her and Chris’ relationship, but the siblings were still going to need time to heal after their fight. The team was now back home in New York for a five-game home stand, and the siblings’ parents would be flying in soon to see their children as well as attend a game at MSG for the first time.

Jacob was spending time with Brady, Gracia and Kelly, keeping distance from his sister aside from work. The four of them were planning a playoff baseball watch party and invited some of the guys and their significant others.

“How are you and Aly doing?” Brady asked.

Jacob shrugged, “Okay, I guess. It’s still gonna take time. She was really mad at me.”

”Jake, I know you want Aly safe, but let go. My brother freaked out when Brady and I started dating, but he sees how happy I am and loves us together. You need to accept your sister’s happiness,” Gracia added.

Jacob huffed, “I know, but I worry about her getting hurt. Like what if Chris’ ex tries to come back into the picture?! I can’t let my sister have another broken heart.”

”We will protect her, dude. Relax. Come on, everyone’s on their way,” Brady said.

Meanwhile at Chris’ apartment, Aly was cleaning up and she noticed old pictures of him and his ex. She was in awe of how beautiful she was and was still in shock they were over. Chris was Aly’s first real boyfriend and really hoped she could make him happy too.

Chris came in the room and saw her standing at the dresser, “Baby, what’d you find?”

”Huh? Oh uh, just this picture. Your ex-girlfriend was really pretty,” Aly nodded.

Chris walked over and threw the photo in the trash can next to them, “I don’t love her anymore, I love you. I’m glad I broke up with her.”

”I heard y’all were together five years. What happened?” Aly worried.

Chris took a deep breath, “To make a long story short, she was really rude to female Rangers fans for being a fan of me, and her jealousy got extremely worse each year. I couldn’t handle it. I ended it over the summer and she moved back to Boxford.”

Aly nodded, “I’m sorry. Jealousy isn’t a good thing.”

”I’ll be honest, it was hot at first until she became really rude to fans. I didn’t want that because everyone knows my good reputation here. I’m glad it ended because it would have stopped me from being with you,” Chris explained.

Aly felt happy tears well up in her eyes as she leaned against the wall, “You really are the best thing to happen to me.”

”I love you baby, always,” Chris smiled as they kissed.

But who was on their way back with revenge on their mind? Wait and see.
