His Teammate's Sister

Chapter 9

John and Kristy, Aly and Jacob's parents, were now in New York City and excited to see their children in action at Madison Square Garden for the very first time as members of the Rangers family. The parents were still aware of their children fighting, and were hoping to help Kelly as well as Jacob's teammates heal the broken bridge.

The team had off today, so while Aly spent it with Chris, Kelly and Jacob took his parents out for a tour of MSG and bringing them to Radio City Music Hall for a show later that night. The four of them arrived at Becco, an Italian restaurant on 46th street for an early dinner prior to their show.

"So, Jacob, how are things with your sister?" John asked, sipping his glass of Merlot.

Jacob sighed, "Dad, do we really have to talk about this? Can't we just enjoy your visit?"

"Absolutely not, young man. Now, answer your father's question," Kristy sternly answered.

Jacob huffed, "We're still giving each other space. She's still a little angry at me for interfering in her love life."

"If I can interject, Aly is really happy with Chris. I mean, I see how he treats her and I can tell he really loves her," Kelly added.

Kristy nodded, "Mhm hmm. And why did Christopher break up with his ex?"

"Her jealousy issues and the fact she was rude to female Rangers fans when they met him. At least Aly understands that Chris has these type of fans and how popular he is," Kelly said.

"Jacob Ryan, you better mend things with your sister. We're here for the next eight days and we want our children on full speaking terms by the time we have to go home to Winnipeg. Do I make myself clear?" John demanded.

Jacob nodded, "Yes sir."

Kristy turned to her future daughter-in-law, "Thank you for being there while we cannot be."

"Absolutely. Aly is about to be my sister and I got her back," Kelly smiled.

Down in Tribeca, Aly and Chris were getting ready to go on a double date with Ryan and Sydney. A new biergarten and German place opened up a few blocks from them and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it. While Aly was doing her makeup, Chris was in the living room when the doorbell rang.

Chris answered it and nearly dropped, "Francesca!? What the hell are you doing here?"

"Oh Chris, I did some thinking while I was back home and I am SO sorry for how I behaved when we dated. I really would love for another chance with you. You make me so happy," Francesca said with puppy-dog eyes, trying to lean in for a hug.

Chris stepped back, "Frannie, no. I have someone new in my life and she is my world."

Aly came out of the bathroom, "Baby, I'm---oh. Who is this?"

Chris mumbled, "Aw, fuck. Francesca, this is Aly, our team reporter and my new girlfriend. Aly, this is Francesca, my ex."

Francesca scoffed, "This is what you left me for?"

"At least I don't have terrible jealousy or trust issues," Aly sneered.

"Yeah, because you're with him fucking twenty-four seven. Get a life," Francesca snarled back.

"Ladies, enough. Francesca, go back to Boston. Aly is my love, not you. You had the chances and you blew it. Go home before I call building security," Chris insisted.

Francesca looked at them once more, "This is FAR from over."

Chris closed the door and looked at his girlfriend, "Aly, I'm so sorry. You know I don't love her anymore."

"I do. It's okay, I promise," Aly reassured.

"God, you look so sexy in that black skirt. What time did we have to go again?" Chris panted.

Aly checked the clock on the wall, "Like 6. It's only 4:30, but we're five minutes away. Why? I thought you wanted to go window shopping first."

Chris leaned her over the arm of the couch and kissed her as passionately as he could, "We got time. After what just happened, I just want my girl to remember who loves her so much."

Francesca will not take no, but is violence really the answer!?
