"One last lap and practice is over!" Coach Q called. I sat up from the place where I had fallen on the ice and slowly got up to follow the few guys who had started skating.

"Lex."

I turned to see Noah skating up to me.

"We have to talk."

I nodded and thought why would he have to talk to me? He hates me! Unless....

"Are you going to Sharp's Christmas party on Saturday?" he asked.

Really? Couldn't he ask Hjalmarrson this?!

"Uh... yeah. Why'dya ask?" I said questioningly. "Just wondering,"Noah said. I nodded, but the motive to why he was asking was still unknown to me, and it worried me. Why would he ask?

Noah skated off to join other players, which left me alone. I skated alone for the rest fo the time before getting off the ice. The guys liked to stay on the ice for a while longer, so I used the time to get changed without distractions. When I entered the locker room though, I didn't expect to see Corey already in there with Seabrook. I lowered my gaze and set to work on taking off my pads. I grabbed my clothes and headed to the showers before my two teammates could say anything.

When I finished showering and had changed into my regular clothes, I grabbed my bag. I was about to leave when Seabrook called out, "Lex! Hey wait up!" I stopped and looked up to see Corey and Seabs running to me. It looked sort of funny as they struggled to run under the weight of their bags, more so Corey than Seabs. I cracked a smile and Seabs said, "What're you smiling about?"
"Oh... nothing." I replied.

He only rolled his eyes before Corey said, "Would you like to go to Six Flags? I mean, with me, or everyone- and-"

"Crow! Of course I'll come! When exactly is it though...?"

"Uh now? I think-"

"NOW?! Holy shit I gotta go home and get changed!"

"Lex wait! The other guys weren't going for another hour, but Seabs wanted to hit a few rides before they came. You can ride with us, and we'll drop you off at your house and wait for you." Corey said.

I nodded and said, "I'd love to ride with you guys back to my place, but I'd like to park my car in the parking garage. How about you just follow me to my apartment in one of your cars? Then I'll catch a ride with you to Six Flags?"

"Sure, now move! I wanna get on a few rides!!" Seabs said as he ran to his car with his bag in tow and I snickered. Corey laughed once Seabs was out of earshot before he turned to me. "Don't take to long or Seabs will murder you!" I laughed at this before I smiled up at Corey. He was only slightly taller than me, but I felt smaller than I was when his broad shoulders towered over me. We just stared at each other for a moment, and in that moment I thought about kissing him. Bad idea! My mind raged, thinking about what would happen if some cameras caught us.

Corey moved a strand of hair from my face before I stood on tip-toes and we kissed. It wasn't anything too big, but I was surprised. Until now, I didn't know that I had feelings for Corey. I knew Emily thought Corey had feelings for me, but me having feelings for him?

I drew back gently, but I avoided Corey's gaze.
"NO PUBLIC SHOW OF AFFECTION, WHATEVER THAT RULE IS! CRAWFORD, GET IN THE FUCKIN' CAR ALREADY!" I heard Seabrook yell from his car. My face turned bright red and I looked up at Corey, whose face was also red.
I picked up my bag and walked to my car, leaving Corey staring after me.
