It's been a couple of weeks since the Mom's trip and everything is going great of a couple of months. Kennedy and Kaner have bond more since he found out about Shawn. Jon's headache are in the past and Addison is still hard at work. For halloween Jonathan was Captain America and Addison was Agent Carter. Kennedy was Katniss and Patrick was Peeta. The big news that they got Kris back from the Panthers. Addison met him once when they were in Florida but Jon’s smiled grew 10 times more when he heard the news. Today they had a small practice before they hit the road to Colorado. Addison was done with a meeting with Stan about the next game with Colorado. When she got up the stairs she see Jon and Kris talking.
“Hi Kris.” She gave him a hg.
“Addison right?” He pointed at her. She nodded her head. Addison walk over to Jon and stand next to him. Jon and Addison were listening to the stories about his being in Florida with the Panthers and Campbell. There next game was in Colorado and it was getting close to the end of the trading deadline. Also it's going to be Kaner's b-day and Addison has a surprise gift for Kaner when they get there. After they play Colorado they have a two day break before they head to Vancouver and then Edmonton. Addison was studying who they need in there team to help them to win another cup. On the plane to Colorado, Stan and Addison were looking over at each team listed of who they can trade for. Addison didn't even brother looking at the Blues' roster.
"What about this team?" Stan showed her the Blues' roster.
"We don't need anyone on that team?" Then Stan circle one name on that list. It was Brandon Morrow.
"So you want to trade someone to get him who gave Tazer the concussion ?"
"Remember Addison this is not just a game it's also a business to." Addison look out of her window upset that Stan was going that way. Once they landed in Colorado, some of the players went out for dinner. She text Jon to bring Kaner to this restaurant by the hotel. Kaner was a little upset because he wanted Kennedy to come but her work was getting busy and she couldn't take it off. When they got to the restaurant Kaner's face light up when he sees Kennedy holding a big sign saying "Happy Birthday to the most sexiest hockey player ever!". He ran up to her and place a kiss on her lips.
"I know you said that you couldn't make it."
"It was a surprise gift from me." Addison smiled and gave him a hug.
In the morning they headed over to the Pepsi Center. Addison could see that Kaner got more of his gift last night from Kennedy. It made Jon and Addison laugh. Addison was watching the boys warming up the team all she could think was the hit. She knows that she needs to let it go because it's part of the game but that was her boyfriend that got hurt.
Back to the hotel, Jon had something in his hands and really wanted to show Addison. Addison's favorite all time band right now is Vampire Weekend.
While she was getting ready for tonight's game there was a knock on the door. When open it all she could see two ticket with the words Vampire Weekend. She was shock because the Vampire Weekend are playing at Vancouver the day before they play them. Jon peak out to the door.
"How did you get these?!"
"A friend of mind heard that your a fan of them. So I had to get these and lately you have been weird since we got here. Is there something wrong?"
"I'm stressing out over the treating deadline."
"I'm not going anywhere." That made her laugh a little.
"I know that but I don't like seeing anyone leaving our family."
"That's the part of the game." Addison push Jon.
"What was that for?"
"That's what Stan told me. Now get ready and I will see you at the bus."
Addison was sitting next to Jon and was thinking of how much fun they will have going to see Vampire Weekend. During the dinner Addison was with Stan's group for tonight. Still talking about trying to get Brenden Morrow in the team.
"If this is true that we can get him I don't want you to tell anyone." Stan was looking at Addison.
"Not even John. If he find outs then he will be pissed."
"Well what if Jon finds out comes, how is he going to deal with that?" Addison didn't want to be at this table right now. She can see over her shoulder John and his group where having a great time talking about something. Stan didn't say anything else when she asked him that question.

It's been awhile since Kennedy and Addison watch a hockey game with each other. It felt good that they could also spent time with each other because they have been so busy with other things and having boyfriend. Good thing about their boyfriend that they play on the same team so that help a lot. After the lost from Colorado, it was dead quiet on the bus. During the flight Addison was writing in her notebook, but there was something wrong on her face and John's trying to read it. Jon tap her shoulder.
"Are you ok?" She just nodded her head for a responds. Jon could hear Vampire Weekend playing in her headphones. Addison though maybe playing Vampire Weekend will help not remember the game and think about how fun she’s going to have at the concert. Maybe this will change her mood when we get there.

John was watching Addison dancing to Vampire Weekend. The smile on her face shine even better. John was holding on the waist so they won't get lost. Even thou Addison was having a great time but at the back of her mind she needs to tell John about Morrow. At this moment they are having a great time and I don't think she wants to ruined it. After the concert they went back to the hotel.
"Man I had a great time, did you?"
"I had a blast but there's something that I need to tell you."
"Addison." Stan was walking down the hall.
"Yeah?"
"John do you mind if I could talk to Addison about something."
"Sure. See you guys tomorrow." Jon headed into his room.
"So we got him." He whisper so it was only Addison could hear him.
"Morrow?"
"Yep and the good news is that we didn't have to trade anyone, just a few draft picks. He's flying out to see us in Edmonton. Good night Addison." Addison couldn't believe that they went for it.

Addison didn't get any sleep that night. Watching that hit in her head over and over. Telling herself it's a game and that Jon is 110% then what happen to him. She tried everything to sleep, writing, taking a bath doing some work of studying some tape. In the morning, sunglasses covering her face and a big Starbucks coffee in one hand. She was the first on the bus for the morning stakes. Addison didn't want to talk to anyone because of lack of sleep and the first thing would come out of her mouth was about Morrow. Jon sat with her but he didn't say anything. Maybe he was getting ready for the game to.

Before they all went into the meeting room, Addison wanted to pull Jon aside and tell him everything. But it was to late because Jon was already in the room to start the meeting. As everyone was listening to Coach Q about how good the team they are going to face with tonight and he wanted to show the group of how they need to improve their Power Killing. Addison was in the back trying to keep her eyes open. The coffee didn't work at all and now her body wants to sleep. Before her eyes fully shut she text Jon.

A: If I fall asleep please wake me up and I have something to tell you. Don't be mad when I tell you.

Addison feel someone shaking her to wake up.
"Addison this is your wake up call, do you want me to call back in 10 minutes or so." Jon laugh. Addison look up and see Jon smiling a little from his joke.
"Ha ha ha very funny smart ass."
"So what do you need to tell me?" Jon turn from happy go lucky to Captain Serious with in seconds.
"Stan told me not to tell anyone but I think you have to know."
"Is it about Morrow?" Jon cutting her off. Wait how did he knew. Addison gave him a puzzled look.
"It was ESPN this morning, I though it was a lie but the look on your face it's not." His face was upset because what the Blackhawks did. Trading for someone that hurt him a couple of weeks ago.
"I tired to stop them and they said it's all about business. That's why I was stressing a couple of days ago. I wanted to tell you but they don't me that I can't tell anyone, it was hard for me. I'm sorry Jon."
"Do you know when he's coming?"
"When we land in Edmonton. He won't play until next week because he was place on IR a couple of weeks ago. The day after he hit you." Jon gave her a hug and to comfort her.
"Thank you Addison, I am upset by this but like Stan told you it's just business."

After the big win in Vancouver, they headed to the airport and went straight to Edmonton. Marcus Kruger got the game winner goal. So Addison had to sit next to him for the great job. Everyone was having a great time but only Jon and Addison were quiet the whole plane ride. They knew that their new team mate will be waiting for them when they got off the plane.

"Guys I have to tell you some news." Stan got up from his chair.
"We just traded some of our draft picks from the Blues and we got from that trade is Brenden Morrow. He's waiting for us in Edmonton right now as we speak. I know that there's going to be a weird situation because of what happen close to a month ago but we need to let it go." Stan looked over and Jon. When everyone heard Morrow's name they all look at Jon to see what Jon will say.
"We will welcome him with open arms." Jon said without turning around in his seat.
"That was a great game we have and now lets get another one from the Oilers." Still quiet he got from his team.
'I knew this was going to happen' Addison told her self. Once they landed in Edmonton they all headed to their rooms and went to bed. It was a long day for them and they have to start it over again tomorrow. That night Jon couldn't get any sleep that night. He was only thinking of the hit Morrow gave him. Jon was upset that they would do this to him, but he was kinda happy that Addison tried to stop this from happening.

At the morning skates all the players were getting ready when Morrow came into the dressing room and everyone went quiet. You could hear a pin drop because of how quiet the room came when he step in. He walk over to his locker with was between Hossa and Sharpie. Some of the teammates greet him, but when Addison came into the dressing room. She stop in her track and walk back out.

"Who was that?" Morrow ask Sharpie.
"That's Addison, GM player analysis. She's also really close friends with Toews, so it's going to be awhile for you to be on her good side."
"Where's Jon by the way?"
"I think he's on the ice already." Morrow still couldn't play from a lower body injured. So we walk out to the ice and Sharpie was right. Jon was already hitting puck into the net.
"Nice slap shot." Morrow told Jon. Jon stop in his track and staked over to Morrow.
"Listen I need to say sorry for that hit and I hope that nothing get's in between us from the game when I get back on the ice." They both shook hands and Jon could feel Addison watching him in the sky box. Jon look up and he was right. Addison was watching him like a hawk. Morrow was doing the same thing.
"So Addison right?" Jon nodded his head.
"She turn around the second she saw me in the dressing room. I think she likes you alot."
'Yep I know.' Jon said to him self.
"See you later, I think I need to say sorry to Addison before something bad will happen more."
