When they landed back down to Chicago, everyone was very upset from the outcome from the game and now they might lose their captain for the rest of the season. At this point Addison didn’t care about what’s going on with the season. She knew that they are in the playoffs and so her role right now is to be with her boyfriend. This news got more attention than Kennedy moving in with Kaner, then Kennedy's job offers from LA Times or ESPN magazine.

In the morning, Addison got her coffee and watch the recap if the game last night. They have a couple of days off till their next game against the Wild. As she was watching the hit that Brooks Orpik gave Jon. She knew that it was a clean hard hit. Brooks and Jon are the same height but Brooks has 8 pounds more than Jon. Then she heard her phone telling her that she has a text.
J: Can you come in here please?
Addison rolled her eyes and went back into the bedroom. When she came in, he was laying on the bed watching the same channel that Addison was watching.
“Why are you doing up? You need lots of sleep from what happen last night.”
“I didn’t get hit in the head, it’s my shoulder and I don’t want to be in bed alone.” Addison got on her side of the bed.
“So what do you think of what’s going on with Kennedy and Kaner?” Jon was looking hard to think of a way to find both side of what’s going on with both of the great news.
“Well I think Kennedy didn’t want to say no to Kaner because she loves him but she wants this job. I mean LA Times or ESPN are offering her a job.”
“Yea but I feel sorry for Kaner because he was trying a million ways to ask Kennedy to move in with him.” Addison was playing with her feet.
“Are you going to talk to Kennedy about these jobs? Do you want her to leave Chicago?”
“No I don’t but I don’t want to be the selfish friend and I know that she would love to go to LA. Now since she said yes to moving in with Kaner she has to make a decision.” Jon grab her hand and gave it a kiss.
“I know that you aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.”
“Well not a lot of GM player analysis don’t stay for a year with the same team and what’s going on here.” She pointed at Jon and herself.
“Stan loves you and he thinks that your a gem in the ruff. Beside I will do anything to make sure you will stay here in Chicago with me because that’s how much I love you.”
“Thanks Jon.” She place her lips on to his.


As Kennedy was online looking for someone to rent out her place. Kaner was in the kitchen getting breakfast ready. When Kennedy was done with that she was on the phone with a mover.
“So I got the truck ready to just get some things and the rest of the stuff I will put in storage, I think we can get everything done right before the playoffs.” Kennedy was waiting for Kaner to respond.
“Earth to Kaner.” She walked up to him and Kaner didn’t look at Kennedy while he was cooking the eggs.
“Say something, your freaking me out. Are you thinking about what happen to Jon last night?” Kaner shook his head.
“Than what’s going on?"
“I think maybe you shouldn’t move in.” Kennedy was confused of what’s going on. He asks her to move in with her and now he doesn’t want her to move in with him.
“Patrick what’s going?” Then he looked up at her and put the eggs on his plate then grabs his orange juice.
“I’m just confused.”
“For how long?”
“When you told everyone the news. You should have told me about this sooner.”
“Well I didn’t know that you were going to ask me to move in with you. It’s no big deal that I can turn down this opportunity from LA Times or ESPN.” Kennedy turn around and walked back into the living room. Kaner was so mad of what she said, now he thinks that it’s all his fault that she won’t get a job at LA times or ESPN magazine. He walked over to where Kennedy was on the couch texting someone on her iPhone.
“We aren’t done talking here!”
“What else is there to talk about? I won’t take any of the offers then if it makes you happy then.”
“Kennedy I want you to be happy but I’m just upset that I’m your boyfriend and yet you waited this whole time to tell me this. If I had big news about something you are the first person I would have told. What would happen if you took the job for LA times? Leaving your best friend who’s been with you through think and thin now you will be 2,000 miles away from her. Your going to leave me here to, I though you love me.”
“I do love you.” Kaner couldn’t handle this argument anymore. He turn around and slam his glass into the sink, letting the glass shatter in pieces. Didn’t turn around to see the outcome of the glass and grab his coat, headed to Jon’s place.
“Where are you going?” Kennedy walked into the kitchen to see the glass all over the sink and counter.
“Like you care.” He said before he slam the door.

Addison finally got Jon to shower and get out of their bedroom. She was getting some of the stats finish for the Wild game.
“You should have join me in the shower because it was nice and hot.” He lean over the couch and kiss her neck.
“Well there wouldn’t be any shower because we would be busy doing something else that doesn’t involve showering.” Then they heard their door knock. When Jon open the door, he could see that Kaner was still pissed from Kennedy.
“Kaner? What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong?!” He barged in and went to find Addison.
“Your friend … my girlfriend is blaming me because I don’t want her to leave us! I mean what else can I do! I couldn’t do anything to stop her from going to Phoenix because it was her work and now she wants to go to LA.”
“Kaner how do you know that she wants to go to LA?” Jon sat next to Addison while they watch Kaner pacing back and forth in their living room.
“She said and I quote " It’s no big deal that I can turn down this opportunity from LA Times or ESPN.” un quote. You know how much she wants to live in the sun, beach and everything that has to do with LA. So from that fucking sentence is that I’m cock blocking her from her dream job.”
“You are not cock blocking anything!” Kennedy open the door and came right in front of Kaner.
“Did I say that I said yes to the job in LA?” Kaner shook his head.
“Did I say that I took the job at ESPN which is in New York. Four hours from Buffalo to New York. I didn’t want to tell you this stuff when all of this stuff was in the air. Right now I want to focus on moving in with you and we can start off from there. I could work here in Chicago for ESPN and work in New York during the summer so you can see your family.” Then Kennedy did something that she might regrets. She slaps Kaner in the face.
“Maybe it’s still not a good time for us to move in together, maybe we need a break from each other.” Kennedy turn around and headed back home. Kaner didn’t know what to say or do. Addison got up from the couch and went over to Kaner.
“Kaner, everything will be alright. You two needs sometime to be apart and figure this out when your not acting like this.” Kaner nodded his head. Addison gave him a hug and Kaner put his head in between her head and shoulder. She was rubbing his back and she could hear Kaner sobbing.
“Do you want to spend the day with us or back at your place.” He lifted up his head and see could see how read his eyes are.
“No I am going back to my place beside I have a mess I need to clean up in the kitchen I made before I came here. Sorry about what just happen here.”
“Your find if you want to watch Jon and I have a argument you can have front row seat.” Kaner laugh a little on that.
“See you guys at the UC tomorrow.” Jon nodded his head. When Kaner left, Addison was in still in shock of what just happen.
“When are you going to talk to Kennedy?”
“Tomorrow when Kennedy is this mad you need to let her vent. But I think that was Kaner and Kennedy’s first argument ever. I though they were the perfect couple of all time.”
“Well even the perfect couples have bumps on the road too.”

Sorry it's late I finally got a charger for my macbook and I forgot it takes a long time to update everything. Beside I needed more than to figure out how to make Kaner and Kennedy first argument.
