The perfect storm

Kayla's POV
I sat down on the couch to watch the game with Jon's dog. A few minutes after it started Abby, Patrick Sharp's wife sent me a text asking me to call her if I was home. I called her and she picked up,on the first ring
"Kay! How are you?" She says
"I'm really good how are you!? Are you watching the game?"
"Yeah me and mads are.. You wanna come down and watch with us?"
"Of course! I'll run down on the next commercial!"
"See ya baby"
" see ya"
I grab my keys and walk down to the elevator. They are a floor below us which works out really well on nights like these.
When I walk in their apartment immediately Madelyn comes running over to me, with Abby close behind her
"Hey girls!" I say
I hug Abby and we all go sit on the couch and watch the game
With ten minutes left in the 3rd period our boys are up 4-0
"I'm gonna go back up so you can put her to bed, Call me when she's sleeping I'm gonna run out and get a pizza and some wine and I'll come back so we can chat"
"as always" Abby says laughing

we have already ate half the pizza and both had a half glass of wine when Abby says
"I think it's really good for Jon that you're here with him. I mean look at Kaner, he has no one to take care of him and he gets into all kinds of trouble."
" Yeah" I say back. She sees it too
"Pat is always telling me about how much he talks about you"
" oh really is that right now" I say taking a sip
"Yeah, Jon tells pat everything. I hear all of it too, don't worry it's all good. I think the kid is starting to get serious about you two being together" she says with a wink
we spend the next three hours laughing and eating in their living room when Patrick walked in carrying a suitcase and a bottle of wine.
"is Jon home!?" I ask sounding a little too excited
"Yeah he probably has been for a few minutes, he left the airport before I did, he left with seabs"
I give Abby a hug and run out the door to the elevator
