Ch. 2
At around 5 o'clock, Kelsey and Hanna were at their condo putting away dishes from their dishwasher. "Hand me that plate!" Hanna demanded in a goofy voice. "too bad, bitch!" Kelsey snickered.
They both had an amazing friendship. When Kelsey moved to Chicago in her freshman year, Hanna and her became instant best friends. Their personalities collided and they were like sisters. They both wanted to be Nurses,and luckily they were both accepted into Northwestern. Now they both work together and are living together until they both find serious relationships.
"No seriously pass me the plateee" Hanna whined. "fine!" Kelsey laughed and gave her the plate. Suddenly, Kelsey's phone started ringing. Hanna looked at Kelsey and started grinning. Kelsey rolled her eyes and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"hey this is Jonathan"
"Oh hi!"
"What's up?"
"Oh nothing, just doing chores. you?"
"Just got done with practice. So are you free tonight?"
"Um, yeah I'm free"
"Great, can I pick you up at seven?" Jonathan asked.
"Sure, I live at 710 Waterside Dr."
"Cool, see you then!"
"Bye!"
Kelsey hung up and Hanna was freaking out. "Hanna, its seriously no big deal!" Kelsey shouted. "Yeah it is! He's like a celebrity!" She said laughing. "He's a Hockey player, not a celebrity." "A hot famous hockey player, that is" Kelsey rolled her eyes and flicked water at Hanna. They laughed and went back to chores.
At 7:00, Kelsey leaves her building to wait for Jonathan. (Kelsey's outfit of the night) In a few minutes, a Maserati drives up with the windows down, and Jonathan is in there. He gets out, opens the passenger door for Kelsey, then gets back in and they both buckle up. "Nice car," Kelsey starts. "I still remember you dreaming for a Camaro, but this is 10x better than one." Kelsey laughs. "Yeah, this is my pride and joy right here." Jonathan says, tapping the steering wheel with his fingers while driving. "So where are we off to?" Kelsey asks. "Well there's this Italian restaurant named La Scarola. I thought it'd be a good place because your mom always tells me how much you love Italian food." He says, while paying attention to the road. He was right, Kelsey was obsessed with Italian food. "When did she tell you that?" Kelsey asked. "Last Christmas, when your family went to visit mine in Winnipeg. Why didn't you go?" Jonathan asked. "Oh, I was with my boyfriends family in Michigan." "boyfriend?" "We broke up in February." Kelsey said, uncomfortably. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that." "Don't be. He was an asshole." Kelsey said with an awkward laugh.
When they got there, they were seated outdoors. "is this fine with you?" Jonathan asked. "Yeah, its perfect!" Kelsey said smiling. Jonathan smiled back. Throughout the night, Jonathan and Kelsey were talking about high school, college, the NHL, relationships and everything in between. It turns out that Jonathan had a girlfriend named Lindsey for two years, but they had a messy breakup because she cheated on him. They broke up 6 months ago, but Jonathan said he was over her. They both found out that they still have a lot of common, like they had before. The bond started to come back and they acted like they have been best friends the whole time.
At 11:00, Jonathan drove Kelsey home because he had practice and she had work the next day. He went to open the door for her and they hugged. Kelsey smelled his cologne and was in heaven. Once they let go, Kelsey said thank you and that it was nice to see him. Jonathan smiled and agreed.
Jonathans POV
Wow, Kelsey is pretty hot. A LOT has changed for her looks in ten years, but she's still that fun and laid back girl. Tonight was amazing with her. I still can't believe we found each other again. After not seeing her in all those years, I still felt like our bond was there. She just looked so beautiful today. I wonder if it was obvious that I kept getting lost in her green eyes. Wait what am I doing? This was our first time talking in 10 years. I shouldn't be falling for a girl this fast. After Lindsey, its been hard talking to girls without worrying so much about them. I'm just going to hug her goodnight and see what happens later on. That is, if she even likes me or anything. Wow, she gives amazing hugs.
