I Trust you

*April's POV*

All of a sudden I was in Phil's arms and he was holding me stroking my head and telling me it was going to be okay.

I looked around frantically for Logan to see James who had him pinned up against the wall.

You sick son of a bitch!" James yelled.

Then without warning Logan kneed James in the groin and made a run for the door.

James tried to get up after him but was doubled over in pain.

"James!" I yelled pulling away from Phil and stumbling over to his side.

"I'm okay." He said with a look of dismay as he regarded my state "But your not."

"C'mon let's get you to the hospital." Phil said

"No."

"April you need to go."Phil said.

"I'm fine." I insisted stubbornly.

"No your not." James said.

"I'm so sorry that he did this to you." He barely whispered

"But your not fine and you need to see a doctor." He looked into my eyes pleading almost begging me to listen.

"Alright" I whispered before James took off his sweater giving it to me making me realise I was only in a bra after my shirt had been ripped off me.

"Thank you" I said to him as I put on the oversized sweater zipping it up before grabbing Phil's hand as he led me out of the now destroyed apartment.

I sat on my hospital bed patiently waiting for the doctor to come in.

The door opened and It wasn't the doctor who came in but my brother.

"April" He said when he saw me slowly making his way over to my hospital bed before sitting down beside me.

I couldn't stay composed I broke down crying and let Tyler console me kissing the top of my head.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered into my hair "I should have been there to protect you...god I'm such a terrible brother."

"No your not Ty don't blame yourself this isn't your fault." I said looking up at him.

"What if they weren't there?" He said gesturing to Phil and James "What would have happened to you April? He could have killed you!" Tyler said.

"Ty please don't beat yourself up over this. It's my fault."

"How could this have possibly been your fault?"

"I provoked him, I-I gave him a reason to come after me."

"Will the two of you stop it." James interjected from his spot in front of the window.

"This is nobody's fault can we all just agree that he's a sick bastard?" He asked never removing his eyes from the window.

"Yeah a sick bastard I thought loved me." I whispered wiping away the tears.

"Maybe you thought wrong." James said bitterly, looking at me for the first time since we arrived at the hospital.

"James." Phil said giving him a look that said. Not now.

"Sorry." He said blankly. "I'm getting a coffee, anybody want anything?" He questioned stopping at the door and we all shook our heads no.

On his way out he bumped into Cody and Naz who both tried to apologize but he just brushed by them.

"What's up with him?" Naz asked as we all shrugged our shoulders.

"How you feelin' kiddo?" Franny asked sitting beside me on the hospital bed.

"I'm fine." I replied just as the doctor came in.

"Well Ms Bozak, luckily there are no major injuries just a couple cuts and scrapes." The doctor announced flipping through some papers on his clipboard "We'll just stitch up that right arm and you should be good to go." He said giving me a small smile.

*JVR's POV*

I left the hospital after I had grabbed my coffee. I didn't think I could handle being in that room any longer.

It pained me in ways I never thought possible to see April so broken.

I drove around the streets of Downtown Toronto aimlessly.

I was fuming and I needed to blow off some steam before I did something stupid.

Before long I had calmed down enough to get back to the hospital.

When I got there the receptionist had told me that they had already checked out.

So again I got back in my car and drove over to April's place.

I took a couple deep breaths as I entered the building before bounding up the stairs not even bothering to take the elavator.

*April's POV*

"Oh my god." Ty whispered taking in the state of my apartment after we had gotten back from the hospital.

I didn't say anything as I walked into my room grabbing a suitcase.

"What are you doing?" Ty asked following me into the room.

"I'm packing." I said as I started stuffing clothes into the suitcase.

"I can see that." He said "But why?"

"We're not safe here Ty." I said walking around him getting more clothes out of my closet.

"Wait. What are you talking about?"

"Don't you get it! We're not safe here! He's out there somewhere and he could come back." I said exsasperated "And I'm not about to take that chance. Especially not with you and Phil here."

"So what we're just going to pack up and leave?"

"What other choice do we have?" I said suddenly exausted taking a seat on the bed. "Look, I never meant for any of this to happen, If there was anyway I could have seen it coming, Or prevented it from happening-"

"Hey, hey." Ty interupted sitting beside me.

"You didn't expect what was going to happen today, none of us did."

"But we're going to get through this." He said wrapping an arm around me. "Together."

"I'm so tired Ty." I said resting my head against his shoulder "I just want the day to be over."

"Me too honey." He said pressing a soft kiss to my temple "Me too."
