*April's POV*

"Seriously Ty." I groaned as I practically carried my drunk brother out of the bar at 2:00 am.

"Whatttt" He slurred slumping in my arms as I placed him down on a bench running a hand through my hair.

I pulled out my phone and Called the one person I could at this point.

"Hey James it's me." I said after James picked up on the second ring.

"Hey what's up." He asked his voice groggy making me feel guilty for waking him but I was in over my head and I needed help.

"Umm, please don't hate me for this okay."

"Couldn't if I tried, what's wrong?" He asked seeming more alert now.

"I need to ask you to do me a HUGE favor."

"Anything." He said making me smile wondering how I'd got so lucky to have a friend like James

Are you sure he's just a friend?

I pushed the thought out of my mind, straightening Tyler who was slumping on the bench looking like he was about to fall off.

"I really have no one else to turn to right now, I just picked Ty up from a bar and he's drunk out of his mind. I can't get him home on my own. Can you please come help me out."

"Where are you?" He asked.

"Uhh some bar called Horse shoe tavern on Queen st. West."

"Wait did you say Horse shoe Tavern?"

"Yeah."

"That's not too far, just stay where you are." James answered.

"Okay." I replied

"I'll be right there." He said

"And James?" I said biting my lip.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you." I said softly.

"I'm alway's here for you." He said hanging up and I could tell he meant it.

A few minutes later I spotted James come jogging around the corner as I stood up and helped Tyler get to his feet.

"Hey, how's he doing?" James asked bounding toward us looking at Ty with concern.

"He's alright for the most part." I said wearily holding in a yawn as Tyler slouched at my side with his arm around my shoulder to support him.

"Let's get you both home." James said leaning down to wrap Tyler's arm around his shoulders as we both very literally carried him over to the car.

I slid in the backseat with Tyler as he stirred a bit with the sudden jolt of the car starting.

"Easy there big guy." I said letting him rest his head on my shoulder as I pressed a kiss into his hair resting my head on his and rubbing his arm.

I looked up to see James giving me a small smile through the rearview mirror, I returned the smile turning to look out the window at the glaring lights and passing cars in traffic trying to stay awake.

I groaned outwardly as we read the paper that was posted up on the wall just above the buttons for the elavator. Telling us that that they were out of service.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" James breathed out putting both arms on top of his head in frustration, making his shirt ride up revealing his toned body as I forced myself to turn away.

"Maybe we should just leave him here." I pondered as I looked at my brother half unconcious on the bench in the lobby of the apartment complex.

"As much as I would love that, we've got to trek up those stairs and get him to bed." James sighed as we made our way over to my brother.

After several minutes of stumbling cursing and Tylers drunken groans we were at James's front door.

"Easy there buddy easy." I said placing Ty on the bed in the guest room as he stirred awake.

"W-what's goin' onn." He slurred looking around dazed and confused.

"We brought you home." I said softly.

"You don't need to take care of me." He said his eyes suddenly narrowing.

"What do you mean?" I asked knowing that I probably shouldn't be asking my incoherent brother questions but I did anyway.

"It's s'possed to be the other way 'round." He slurred leaning back to rest his head on the pillow.

"I'm s'possed to take care of you." He said softly putting his hand on my face tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Not s'possed to let nothing bad happen to you sis. 'Cause I love you." He said his eyes fluttering shut as his hand fell from my face.

"I love you to Ty." I choked out placing a soft kiss to his cheek draping the blanket over his body quietly leaving the room.

When I padded into the living room I saw that James wasn't there.

"James?" I called out quietly not wanting to wake my brother.

"In here." He said as I made my way into the hallway finding him in my room.

He was standing in front of the bedside table with a picture of me and Tyler on my tenth birthday.

I walked up beside James and admired the picture with him.

I had pigtails and Ty had his arms wrapped around my shoulders from behind.

"You guys were pretty tight huh?" James asked putting the photo down.

"Yeah." I said slightly smiling. "We did everything together, he basically raised me for half of my life."

"This must be really hard for you then." He said softly putting his hand on the small of my back rubbing soothing circles.

"He's blaming himself." I sighed as we sat down on the bed.

"What are you talking about?"

"He's blaming himself for what happened." I said.

"It's not his fault."

"I know that." I said "We all know that, but Tyler doesn't."

"I hate this." I said shaking my head and looking down at the hardwood floor.

"We all do." James said wrapping an arm around me as I leaned into his warmth.

"There's a part of me that wishes I'd never come back." I started "That wishes I'd just stayed in London, that none of this would have happened."

"But then there's another part of me." I continued "That's really glad I came back." I said looking up at James.

"Like really glad?" He smiled softly.

"Yeah." I smiled back "Really."

*JVR'S POV*

I wanted to kiss her, more than anything in that moment I wanted her lips on mine but I decided better of it.

This wasn't the time or the place.

Instead I let her bury her face into my chest as we lay back down in the bed.

I tried not to read to much into what was happening. Having her here, in my arms.

She just needs someone to lean on I decided as I looked down to see her snoring softly.

I felt my lips turn up into a small smile as I rested my head against hers.

I fought to keep my eyes open but eventually gave up and let sleep win the battle.
