Captain Clutch

We walked through a couple rooms, everyone was staring at me. It was like they had never seen a girl before. I guess many of the guys didn't have their girlfriends or family come in the dressing room after the game. We walked through the doors to where the players were still getting ready. Some were fully dressed talking to one another and others were still shirtless. I averted my eyes.
"Who dis?" A man says walking through a door across from where Beau and I are standing. I recognize the Russian accent of the guy walking toward me. I look up and see Evgeni Malkin come to a stop in front of me.
"I'm Kayla." I say smiling. I glance down at his bare chest and the white towel hanging from his hips. He is muscular and gorgeous. I look around the room to see if I can find my brother.
"Talbo girlfriend here." Geno says turning around to where Maxime is sitting tying his shoes. Maxime looked up and started laughing.
"I hope someone as beautiful as you isn't wasting your time with someone like Maxime." A voice says from behind me a light tone in his voice. I knew that voice as soon as I heard it. I took a deep breath and turned around. I came face to face with Captain Sidney Crosby.
"Any girl would be lucky to be with Maxime." I said with an annoyed tone.
I felt the room go quiet behind me. After a couple seconds I felt someones arms around my shoulders.
"Kay he was joking." Maxime said to me. He knew I was defensive and I would take anything about my brother to heart.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you." Sidney said. "I just didn't know Talbo could hold onto a girlfriend."
"He doesn't want a serious relationship yet." I said casually.
"This is my sister Kayla Talbot." Maxime said loudly so everyone could hear.
"I knew you to good for Talbo." Geno said as he pulled his shirt over his head to the left of me. I hadn't even noticed him changing into his clothes. His broken English was so adorable.
"Nice to meet you Kayla." Sidney said extending his hand toward me. I shook his hand firmly with a smile on my face.
"Captain." I said raising my eye brow. He smiled down at me showing his teeth. I felt a flutter in my stomach, but I pushed it aside. Sure this guy was a superstar, but I didn't want him to think I would ever be interested in him. He seemed like he knew he was better than everyone. There was something about cocky guy's I just didn't like anymore.
"Kayla, I'm James Neal." A shorter man said from behind Sidney. "Nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine, James." I said turning all my attention to Neal. He was a goofy cute, but with a less cocky attitude. Someone who was still good at what he did, but didn't gloat or have an attitude.
"Kayla we go to club, you come." Malkin said trying to take my attention back.
"Sure I would love to go!" I said enthusiastically. "As long as Maxime doesn't have a problem with it."
"We keep her safe. Promise." Malkin said to my brother.
"Not to late." Maxime said shaking his head. "Wait, you can't go to a club, drinking age is 21 Kay."
"I'm sure I can still get in. Look who I'm going with. I promise I won't drink." I said my eyes pleading him to let me go.
"Not to late." He said with a sigh. I passed him his car keys from my wristlet.
"You not 21?" Malkin asked looking at me curiously.
"I'm 19." I say laughing a little.
"This ok. We get you in." Malkin said putting his arm around my shoulder. He looked good in his black pants and powder blue button up dress shirt. But he wasn't who I had my eye on.
"Are you coming with us James?" I asked batting my eyelashes just a little. I knew I could get him to at least want to come if I really tried.
"Why not." He said smiling at me.
"Sid you come?" Malkin asked turning to Sidney.
"If Kayla wants me to come." Sidney said that tone coming back. He was starting to really piss me off, but I wasn't going to let that show. I smiled sweetly.
"Of course I want the Captain with us." I said.
We started walking toward the door. I stopped before the exit and slipped off my jersey revealing a tight red tank top. It's the middle of October there is no way I could wear just this out.
"Geno, can I just stop at Maxime's car? I need to grab my jacket. I always leave one in there." I said tucking my jersey over my arm.
"Of course. We take Jordan car. He no drink." Malkin said taking my hand and pulling me through the long hallway back out to the main hallway where everyone who was going out had gathered.
"Let's go back the way Sid comes in." Beau announced giving me an understanding look. Everyone agreed and we headed out toward the underground parking. When we got to the cars, we split up. I went with Neal, Malkin, and Jordan, while Sidney got a ride with Beau since he wasn't drinking either. Before we even went anywhere I could tell we were in for an interesting night.
