The Maze To Your Heart
Chapter Ten: Second Period.
"I'm kind of nervous for the press conference tomorrow." I admitted to Kristopher as we were on the plane heading to Toronto. I looked down at the clouds and water-ways. The green beautiful trees of Minnesota.
"It'll be fine. I'll miss you when you go though. You deserve to live your dream too." He said as he wrapped his fingers within mine. It felt like our hands were meant for each other.
"We're going to have no time together. I mean, I can understand if you just want to put us on hold for a little while. It'll be completely fine. I would prefer if we didn't though." I said looking at him in the eyes.
"Mavel, it's perfectly fine. I don't mind. It's different from when we were kids." He has been trying to convince me into believing that he wasn't going to do anything stupid. I just had such a hard time believing so. I felt bad for not trusting him. I know that a relationship without trust never lasts.
"A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or the others crazy?" I asked quoting Albert Einstein. He just smiled innocently at me. I loved him so much. I always have and always will.
"I'm so happy for you." He spoke quietly.

September 2011
Opening day for the Toronto Furies. I was what everyone seemed to be talking about. I was only signed to a one year contract. It was for me, to see if this is what I really wanted. If I was going to make this my life. It was great knowing that Nike had signed me to a deal. Bauer renewed my deal also. That being said, I was getting money for wearing their products for free.
The Furies were a new team this season to the CWHL. Jesse Scanzano and Tessa Bonhomme were selected to play on my team. I was familiar with the two. I had played National's with the both of them. Fantastic players, I would say.
"You excited, Maverick?" Tessa asked as she had used my nickname. It was my hockey nickname, I guess you woud call it. I would call her Goose. Jesse hadn't adjusted to the name Cougar yet. We were all Top Gun fans.
"Nervous as hell." I said with a chuckle. I was taping up my sticks inside the locker room. It was well designed and fancy. It was ours. I've missed this game so much. Thank you, Sid.
"Is your boyfriend coming?" SJ asked. She was fixing her goalie pads.
"Uh, yeah, I actually have quite a few people coming tonight." I told them as I over to grab some tape for the wrists and ankles. All of the girls in the room knew who I was dating. It was no secret; thanks to Kristopher. He decided to bring it public.
"Any hot singles?" Zano asked.
"--Dibs on any foreigns!" Lexie said. By foreigns she meant, Americans. She was the only American to play on this team full of Canadian Girls.
"Non of them are from America. The only single one coming is James. He's a little bit weird. That's my opinion. If you like weird, he's all yours!" I said and everyone laughed.
"Better be hot." She muttered to herself.

I was on the bench barely paying any attention to the game. I was scanning the crowd, looking for my friends and family. In one section I seen Kristopher, Marc-Andre, James, Jordan, Heather and Vero. I another part I had seen my family and the girls that started it all for me. I couldn't forget about Elliot and Trist.
"I just want you to play low point. No going behind the net on the power play. Try to get the one timer to Kelly." Coach Brennan ordered. I obliged and got ready for my power play shift.
I have re uploaded this and am continuing.
