Chapter Forty

-Sidney-

"Ok, Julie's saying," Matt started and as he pointed towards the screen and leaned in close, "What the hell, Allie," he read and then I wrote it down.

My phone went off saying I had a text and I looked at it to see it was from Allie, "Allie?"

"What?" Tyler asked and walked over.

I opened the text to see that it was a video, "What is this?" I asked as I watched the video, '...Wait, if Allie's there, then that means that Julie's taking the video...'

"What is she doing?" Tyler asked as he and the other crowded around my phone.

"Looks like a meeting," Kris said.

"For what though?" Marc asked and I shook my shoulders.

We watched as one of the guys pointed towards the car and started to walk over towards it. The video suddenly stopped and I found myself desperately wanting to know what happens next, wanting to know if Julie was all right.

"That was Julie, wasn't it?" Kris asked and I sighed.

"I think so," I said and then played the tape over again, "Do we know where this is at?"

"No, it doesn't look familiar," Tyler said and I growled.

Finding these two is going to be easier said than done.

-Julie-

I heard the man talking, he was standing just outside the car and I was too afraid to move. The car alarm started to go off and I peaked my head up to see that Allie was shrugging her shoulders and the guy was walking back over towards her. I sighed and then looked around the car and saw the little loop that you pull, to pull down the seat to see the trunk.

'...Really gotta love those spy movies...' I thought as I quickly looked up to see that I had enough time to pull down the seat and crawl into the trunk of the car.

I pushed down the arm seat from where I laid in the trunk and then found that there was a light black fabric and used my teeth to bite a hole in it to see what was going on. The alarm was going off again, and I realized that that was a warning to me, telling me that someone was coming over.

I looked through the hole and saw that two of the guys had grabbed Allie and were walking her back over to the car. The driver's door opened and I saw one of the big guys get into the seat. The passenger door opened and another man got in, then the back door opened and Allie was pushed in and was told to slide over so that the last guy could take a seat.

'...What are you doing with these people, Allie?...' I thought as the car started and I jerked back because he started to speed out of the parking lot.

The phone in my hand vibrated and I looked down to see that Sidney was texting me, [R U OK?]

[In the trunk of Allie's car, how the hell do u think I am?] I replied and then covered my mouth as the driver must have hit a speed bump, because I jumped in the trunk and hit my head, '...Learn to drive, asshole...'

[Y r u in there?] he asked and I shook my head, '...Really Sid?...'

[4 a god damn vaca! What do u think I'm in here for?] I sighed and then looked through the hole to see that everyone was quiet.

The phone vibrated again and I read the message [Where r u?]

[I wish I knew] I replied and then was thrown forward because the man slammed onto the breaks. I cursed quietly because I hit my knee off of something. I heard water and looked out of the hole to see that we were by some building, '...Where are we?...' I thought as I moved slowly again and I tried to move my body to see that we were by the river, but where, I had no clue, '...Oh, this is not good...'

[Where r u?] he asked again and I sighed as I heard the doors opening and everyone was getting out.

[Idk, somewhere by the river] I replied and then looked to see that the battery was dying, '...Of course it is...' I thought as I texted Sidney telling that the battery was almost dead.

-Sidney-

"DAMMIT!!!" I growled as I threw my phone onto the counter.

"What?" Tyler asked.

"She said the phone was dying," I answered and then rubbed my face.

"Where are they?" Marc asked.

"Somewhere by the river," I answered and everyone sighed because they could be in so many places.

"I GOT IT!!!" Geno yelled and we looked at him, "Call that PI guy that helped us find Kyle."

My eyes widened and I smirked, "Geno, you're a genius!"

He shrugged his shoulders and smirked, "I try."

"Does anyone have his number?" Marc asked and we looked at each other and then sighed.

"Allie does," I growled and then shook my head, "Of course."

"This is unbelievable, both of these girls carry too much baggage!" Kris said and I smirked.

"Julie's worth it."

"Allie's worth it."

"What are we gunna do, Sid?" Tyler asked and I looked at him and then at my phone.

I sighed in frustration and then grabbed my keys and phone.

"Where are you going?!" Marc asked.

"To find them!"

"Do you even know where they're at?" James asked and I looked at him.

"No, but it doesn't hurt to try!" I said and the guys nodded their heads and then followed me, "We just have to follow the piers along the river, how many could there possibly be?"

-Julie-

I had watched Allie get slapped across the face and then looked to see that there was more than three guys there, and some of them had guns. I was afraid for Allie, but I was so happy that the men haven't noticed that I was in the trunk.

'...Who are these people?...' I thought as I saw a man walk towards Allie and saw that he was wearing white, '...The mob? What the hell is going on? Why would you be associated with these people, Allie?...'

I could see that Allie was upset about something because she was talking while throwing her hands around. I wish someone talked during the ride over here so I could know why we were here. I looked at Allie's officially dead phone and then sighed and threw it onto the floor of the trunk.

"I can't believe I'm in a freaking trunk," I muttered as I looked around and then sighed, "I can't believe that I'm in this situation," I said and then felt around the car to see that it was packed with stuff, "Man Allie, you need to clean your trunk out," I said and then threw up my hands, "And I can't believe that I'm talking to myself."

I peeked through the hole again and saw that there was someone walking over towards the car. I cursed and then grabbed the bags, most likely hockey bags, and pushed them against me, trying to cover my body up to make it look like I'm not here just as I heard the trunk pop open.

"Which bag is it?" I heard the guy ask and I peeked my eye out to see that he was a scary bald guy.

"I told you, the money is not in my car! He told me that it was suppose to be transferred to him through a wireless account, not delivered in cash!" I heard Allie yell and then I saw that she was standing next to the guy with a bigger guy gripping her arm.

'...Money, what money? Why do you owe someone money, Allie?...' I thought as looked to see that Allie was looking around the trunk, most likely trying to find me, and then looked back towards the guy.

"Call your boss, he'll tell you that he didn't mention money!" Allie barked and then guy grabbed her shin.

"Don't get snippy with me, girl," he growled and then pushed her face away.

"What's that?" someone asked and I looked to see that someone was reaching into the car. I looked to see where he was reaching to see that the cell phone was in plain sight. I cursed in my head and then looked to see him pick the phone up, "What is this?" he growled while looking at Allie, "We told you know phones!"

"It was in the trunk! I was I supposed to get it!" she growled and I bit my lip.

"Don't get cocky with us!" he growled and then back handed her and I watched as she fell into the car and I gasped and then men heard it.

'...Shit!...' I thought, I was busted.
