Chapter Fifty Eight

“GO JOSH!!!” we yelled as we watched as he skated down the ice towards the goaltender with the puck.

Josh shot the puck and the horn sounded.

“YAY!!!” I yelled and jumped up and down as I had just seen my son score his first goal, “That’s my baby!”

“All right, Josh!” Sidney yelled and then wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my head.

It was his first game and everyone was here, Sidney, Geno, James, Kris, Marc, Vero, and most of the team, Pascal and his family because his son, Kody was also on the team, Mildred, Harold and Allie because Conner was on the team. We all cheered and then Sidney laced his fingers with mine.

“You taught him that,” I smiled towards Sidney and he nodded his head.

By the end of the game, the Pee-Wee Mini Hawks won the game and we had all ran into the locker room to congratulate the boys. Sidney had helped Josh out of his gear and then we all went out to eat to celebrate the win.

Two months has passed since we got home from Texas and hockey season had officially started. Josh had joined the Pee-Wee hockey team and his coach said he was good, and the fact that he had Sidney helping him, made him even better.

“Well that was fun,” I saw as we walked into the house and was greeted by Sasha, “Hi girl.”

“Dad, did you see me? I was like wham! GOAL!!!” Josh acted out his goal and Sidney and I laughed.

“I saw ya little man, you were awesome!” Sidney said and then picked Josh up and threw him over his shoulder, “Now it’s bed time!”

“What?! NO!” Josh whined and I laughed as he tried to persuade for his bedtime to change.

“Come on Josh,” Sidney laughed as he started to walk up the stairs, “You need to shower and then bedtime.”

“Can I take a bath?” he asked and I smirked, “And take my toys in the bath?”

Sidney looked at me and I nodded my head, “All right.”

“YES!!!”

“And then bed, Josh,” I said and he nodded his head, “Good boy.”

-Sidney-

“Josh is finally asleep,” Julie said as she walked into the room as I walked out of the bathroom.

“Yeah?”

“Yeah, I’m surprised he didn’t fall asleep quicker,” she said and I walked over towards her and placed a hand on her hip and then grabbed the back of her neck, “What’s gotten into you?” she laughed and I smirked and pressed my lips onto hers.

“Nothing much,” I said and she laughed.

“Sure,” she muttered as she wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped and arm around her waist and picked her up off the ground. Julie moaned as she wrapped her legs around my waist and I kissed her neck and walked back towards the bed, “What about Josh?”

“He’s asleep,” I mumbled as I threw her onto the bed and crawled on top of her, “Let’s have some fun.”

“All right,” Julie muttered and arched her back as my hands went under her shirt, “Sid.”

I smirked as she sat up and pressed her lips onto mine and pressed her body onto mine. Julie ran her fingers through my hair and then glided her hands to the hem of my shirt. I grabbed the back of it, and she helped me take my shirt off.

“So your first game is on Wednesday, you ready?” I asked as I turned my head in Sidney’s arms.

“More than ready,” he said as he rubbed my arm.

We laid in bed, Sidney on his back with his arm wrapped around my shoulder and his hand dangling down. I laid on my side and had an arm on his chest, and my head laid in the crook of his neck. The sheets wrapped around my chest and the comforter around his waist. I kissed his shoulder and then started to draw circles on his chest.

“Josh will be up soon,” I sighed and Sidney nodded his head, “We’d better get up.”

“It’s Sunday, why would he be up early? Normal kids should be sleeping in.”

“He’s not normal, haven’t you realized that?” I laughed and Sidney scoffed and shook his head.

I sat up in the bed and felt Sidney’s hand on my back. I turned around and pressed my lips against his and then decided that I needed to get up because it was almost eight, and that’s when Josh usually got up.

“So what are you doing today?” Sidney asked as I walked over towards the closet.

“I need to go to the shop today, Mildred needs some help with an order.”

“What kind of order?”

“Halloween cupcakes,” I said as I picked up a pair of jeans and shirt, “I think a hundred.”

“That’ll be fun.”

“Always,” I laughed and then grabbed my bra and put it on, “Since Josh should be up, I’ll take him with me, him and Conner need a play day after all.”

“All right, then what am I gunna do?” Sidney laughed and I smiled towards him.

“Do what you do best?” I laughed as I threw my jeans on and zipped them up and then threw my t-shirt on.

“And what would that be,” he asked and I smirked and walked over towards him and climbed onto his lap.

“Go play hockey with your boys,” I laughed and then kissed his cheek, “When was the last time you had just a play game with them?”

“You make it seem like we’re kids.”

“You guys are kids, just trapped in adult bodies,” I laughed and he smiled towards me.

“All right, you’re so smart,” he laughed and then pressed his lips onto mine.

There was a knock at the door and I smirked towards Sidney because I knew that it was Josh, “Told ya he was a morning person.”

“How?” Sidney asked and I laughed and shrugged my shoulders. I started to get off of his lap, but he grabbed my wrist and then pulled me back down, pressing his lips onto mine, “I love you.”

“Love you too,” I smiled and then kissed his cheek and climbed off of him, “Yes baby, I hear you,” I laughed because Josh just kept knocking. I opened the door and saw Josh and Sasha standing in the doorway just waiting. I smiled and then ruffled his hair, “Go get dressed, we’re going to the shop today.”

“Really? I can play with Conner?”

“Yup,” I laughed and started for the stairs, “Go get dressed, and I’ll get breakfast started.”

“All right!” Josh said and then started to run towards his room.

“Come on, Sasha,” I called and Sasha followed me down the stairs.

I walked into the kitchen, let Sasha outside, put food and water in her bowl and started to make some eggs and bacon for Josh and Sidney. I didn’t even hear anyone come down, I just suddenly felt arms around me waist.

“I smell bacon.”

I laughed and then turned my head to see that Sidney was standing behind me only wearing a sweat pants, “Hey there.”

“Hi.”

“I’m guessing you smelled the food?” I asked and he smirked and nodded his head and then kissed my cheek, “Did you call the boys?”

“I sent a text to them all, I’m waiting on some of them to reply back.”

“I think you’ll have fun today,” I said and then placed some of the bacon on the plate and swatted Sidney’s hand away when he tried to take some, “Wait until Josh get’s here.”

“But the bacon is right there,” he whined and tried to grab it again, but I laughed and swatted his hand again.

“Wait till Josh gets here,” I smirked as I put more bacon onto the plate.

“BACON!!!” I heard and then laughed when pounding was coming down the stairs.

“He really likes bacon,” Sidney laughed as Josh ran into the room and then slid on the tiles, falling to the ground.

“Josh!” I yelled, wide eyed and looking over the counter.

“Bacon!” he yelled and then jumped up and sat at the counter.

“You goof, you almost hurt yourself,” I laughed as I Sidney walked over towards him and ruffled his hair. I made a plate of eggs and bacon for Sidney and Josh and then placed it in front of them, “You want ketchup, Josh?”

“Yes please,” he said as he took the bacon and started to stuff his face.

“Slow down, buddy,” Sidney laughed and I smirked and shook my head.

“Boys and their bacon.”
