Chapter Sixty

"Mommy, where's daddy?" Josh asked as we arrived at his skating rink.

"That's a very good question, I'm not too sure exactly," I said as I looked at the clock to see that it usually took Sidney about a half hour to get home, so that meant that he should have been home about two hours ago. I couldn't wait for him any longer because I needed to pick Conner up because the boys had hockey practice, "I'm sure he stayed late after practice or something."

"He's gunna miss my practice, mommy!" Josh said and I sighed and kissed his head.

"I'm sure there's a reason, why don't you and Conner head to the locker room, I'll call him," I said and the boys nodded their heads and then headed off. I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket and called Sidney, he didn't answer. I sighed and then left a message on his voicemail telling him where we were and that Josh was a little sad that Sidney wasn't here.

"Bonjour Julie," I heard and then turned around to see that Pascal was here with Kody.

"Bonjour Pascal, Kody," I smiled and Pascal ruffled his son's hair and then told him to head to the locker room, "Pascal, do you know where Sid is? Josh is a little upset that he's not here yet."

Pascal sighed and then looked at his watched as he scratched his head, "I told him not to be late," he muttered and I looked at him confused, "Sid was gunna have coffee with Allie after practice, he wanted to talk to her."

"He did?" I asked confused and Pascal nodded his head.

"I have to go and help Kody," he said and I nodded my head, "Would you like me to help Josh and Conner?"

"Please, I seem to do it wrong every time I do it," I laughed and he nodded his head, "Thank you."

"No problem," he said and then started to heard down to the locker room where his son and the other boys were practicing.

"Julie!" I heard and then turned around to see that Sidney was running into the building.

"You made it!" I smiled and he ran up to me, place his hand on my arm and kissed my cheek.

"Sorry, I had to do something after practice and then I got stuck in traffic," he said and I nodded my head, not wanting to tell him that I knew what he was doing.

"It's fine, Josh is waiting for you," I said and Sidney nodded his head and pressed his lips against mine, "I'll be on the bleachers."

"All right," Sidney said and then headed down to the locker room to help Josh and Conner.

-Sidney-

I felt so bad for being late, but I honestly didn't think that I would have been stuck in traffic for so long. When I pulled into my driveway, I didn't see Julie's car, and then it hit me that I had forgotten about his practice. I cursed because I had driven right passed the building in the city, and then I had to go all the way back, and get stuck in some more traffic.

"Hey Sid, you made it," Pascal said as I saw him helping his son get his skates on.

"Yeah, sorry," I said and he nodded his head.

I looked around the room to see that Conner was putting some of his gear on, but Josh was sitting on the bench, not moving, and pouting. I sighed and then felt Pascal pat my back.

"He wouldn't let me help him get his stuff on," Pascal said and I smirked and shook my head, "That's your job, he kept telling me."

I nodded my head and then walked over towards him and bent down in front of him, "Hey, little man."

"Daddy!" Josh yelled as he looked up and smiled brightly, "You came!"

"Sorry I'm late!" I grabbed his head and kissed it as I too his bag and opened it, "Let's get you all geared up.

"All right!" Josh said and then as I looked at the bag, I felt his arms around my neck.

"You ready?" I asked as I patted his back and took his padding out.

"Yeah!"

-Julie-

"You good?" I asked Sidney as he walked up the bleachers smirking towards me.

"Yeah, he's all ready," he said and then sat next to me and placed his arm across my thighs.

I leaned into his side and laid my head on his shoulder, seeing that all the little kids were coming out and stepping out onto the ice.

"So Pascal said that he told you," I heard Sidney say as I was looking at my son skate around the rink.

"Yeah," I said, not even looking at him.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, Julie."

"It's not my place to ask," I said and Sidney sighed and kissed my cheek.

"Everything's fine," he said and I looked at him and smiled.

"Really?"

"I mean, I'll always be angry-"

"Sid."

"But right now, we're fine," he said and then sighed and kissed my head.

"Have we heard anything about the creep?"

"He tried contacting Julie a why back, but that's about it. Don't know what for, and she didn't tell me at coffee," he said and I sighed and laced my fingers with his.

"I don't trust him," I muttered as I felt Sidney pick my hand up and then kiss it.

"I know, it's all right, he's not coming anywhere near you," Sidney said and then wrapped his arm around my shoulder and we watched as Josh and Conner practiced with the team.

After practice was over, we headed home and I walked into the kitchen to start on dinner, because it was around that time. Sasha was in her bed when I walked in, and when she saw me, she jumped up and tackled me to the ground.

"Julie?!" I heard Sidney call, because when I fell to the ground, I hit my head off of the counter.

I cursed because that had hurt and then Sasha was on top of me, licking my face.

"Sasha, off!" I heard Sidney yell and then felt him next to me, "You all right?"

"I hit my head," I muttered and groaned as I sat up.

"Mommy?" I heard Josh call.

"Josh, can you take Sasha outside?" Sidney asked as he grabbed my arm and helped me stand. When I stood, the room was a little dizzy, and I felt like I was gunna go back down again, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

"I don't feel so good, Sid," I breathed and felt Sidney throw my arm around his shoulder and felt his on my waist.

"Take your time, shit you must have hit your head harder than I thought," Sidney said and I goaned, "You're bleeding."

-Sidney-

"Thanks for coming," I said as I looked at my teammate in front of me.

"Yeah man, anything, what happened?" Marc asked as he and Vero stood in front of me.

"We got home from Josh's practice and Sasha jumped on her, and she hit her head off of the counter," I explained and then ran my hand through my hair.

"Hey, she'll be fine," Marc said and I rubbed my face.

"Daddy," Josh said sadly as he walked out of Julie's room.

I picked Josh up and placed him on my hip. The nurse came out of the room and she gave me this looked and then walked over towards the doctor and said something. They looked over towards us, and then walked back into the room, shutting the door behind them.

"That was weird," Vero said and I nodded my head.

They walked out a few minutes later and then looked at me, giving me this dirty look and I was beyond confused. Josh must have seen it too, because he asked about it and I ignored it and handed him over towards Vero.

I was about to walk over towards the doctor and ask what was going on when someone's hand was on my shoulder and I turned to see that Marc was nudging his head to the side. I turned and saw that there were two police officers walking over towards us and I sighed, '...Crap...'
