Rescue Me (Sidney Crosby)

"Well, we need to work on our penalty scoring and pick picking up on our pace. Montreal is a strong team and has pretty good defense," I said as I wiped my face and tried to catch my breath as Dan from Pens TV wanted to have an interview with me during our second break against the Montreal Canadiens.

"One more thing before you go, Sid."

"Sure," I said and leaned against the wall.

"There's a rumor going around that you're engaged, can you tell us about that?" he asked and then placed the microphone in front of me.

I smirked and nodded my head, "Yes, I am engaged to my girlfriend, Julie."

"Well, I'm sure that your fan girls are pretty broken hearted to hear that Sidney Crosby has been taken off of the market," Dan said and I chuckled and nodded my head, "So I'm sure you're doing things that you never thought that you be doing. Picking out colors? Flowers? Centerpieces?" he teased and I laughed a little, scratched my forehead, nodding my head.

"Yeah, that's definitely new to me. I feel like I have to go to the gym after to get my manhood back," we laughed and Dan patted my shoulder.

"Well it comes with the marriage package, but good for you man, we're all happy for you. You're an amazing athlete and an amazing person, we wish the best for you and good luck in the game, thanks for your time."

"Thanks Dan," I said and then shook hands with him and walked back over towards the locker room.

"Julie! It's not that hard, just pick a color!" Sidney whined and I groaned and shook my head.

"I don't know, they're both so pretty," I said as I stared at the color samples of the possible bridesmaids' dress colors, "There's berries galore or napa dawn."

"Babe, they just look like purple and skin color to me," he said as he took a swig of his beer and leaned back on the couch, "You told me all I needed to deal with was guest list, wedding date and wedding location."

"I know, but I would like your help on everything else too! I mean, this wedding is about you too!" I said as I sighed and then pulled myself onto Sidney's lap and draped my arms on his shoulder.

"But it's more for you, I'm sure I can be photo shopped in," he teased and I scoffed and felt his hands on my waist, "I'm just playing," Sidney said and then sat up and pressed his lips onto mine, "Go for the berries galore," he mocked and I giggled and laid my head on his shoulder.

"I'm tired."

"You've been at this all day, where'd your sister go?" Sidney asked and I kissed his neck and sighed.

"She had to go back to Texas, I think she'll be back in two months."

"Your maid of honor just left you all by yourself?" he laughed and I cuddled against him and groaned.

"Vero, Christine and Allie are very helpful," I said and then picked my head up and ran my hands through his hair, "And your mom and sister will be down next month to help with reception decorations."

"Have you found your dress?"

"Yeah, last month, I need to go for fitting next month."

"Can I see it?" he asked and I playfully bit down on his shoulder, "OW!"

"You know it's bad luck to see the dress before the wedding!"

"Wow, ok fine! God, so violent," he laughed and then tried to bite me but I pulled back and laughed, "Oh, you can dish it, but you can't take it!"

I squealed as Sidney pushed me down onto the couch and climbed on top of me, I groaned as I felt two hundred pounds of muscle on top of me and then laughed when Sidney tried to bite me again.

Something on the TV caught my eye and I looked to see that an interview with Sidney was on the NHL network. I was from the game that was the other day against the Canadiens. Sidney confirmed that he was 'off the market' and I looked up and smiled towards him. The woman showing the clip then went on saying that everyone was happy for the happy couple and a few other things, but I had stopped paying attention because Sidney had pressed his lips onto mine and I felt his hands under my shirt.

I bent my knees up and around Sidney's body, arching my back and then sitting up a little, I felt Sidney take my shirt and pull it over my head. I groaned and threw my head back, feeling it hit the armrest. I tried to find my breath as I felt Sidney's lips against my skin, working his way up my body and into my neck.

"Sid," I breathed as I gripped onto his back and then felt Sidney's lips against mine. I heard the doorbell go off and I groaned and looked at the clock, "It's probably Allie dropping Josh off from school."

"Tell her to go away," Sidney breathed against my neck.

I laughed a little and then pushed him off of me, "Go get the door."

"Fine, fine," he smirked as he got up off of me and then helped me up.

I turned around to grab my shirt when I felt Sidney's hand smack against my ass, "Sid!" I laughed and then spun around to see him laughing and running out of the room, "Ya dork!"

I threw my shirt and then walked into the hallway to see that Josh was walking into the house with a sad look on his face. I bent down and looked at him confused.

"He got in trouble at school today," Allie said as she walked in, "Been suspended for a day."

"What? Why? Josh, what happened? That's not like you," I said and placed my hands on Josh's arms, "Josh? I'm sorry, but you're grounded!"

"What?"

"No TV, no games, no playing outside, you come home, you go to your room, that's it!"

"Leave me alone," he muttered and I looked up towards Sidney to see him staring at Josh.

"Jos-"

"Leave me alone!" he yelled and then pulled out of my arms and then ran up the stairs and towards his room.

"Hey! Josh!" I yelled and started to head towards the stairs but Sidney grabbed my arm.

"What did he do?" Sidney asked Allie.

"The teacher said that he got into a fight," Allie said and handed me a paper, "I'll talk to you later."

"All right, thanks Allie," I said and looked at the paper.

"What is it?" Sidney asked as he walked back from walking Allie out of the house.

"A letter saying about Josh's suspension and if I have any question to call this number."

"Do you have a questions?" Sidney asked and I looked up at him.

"Yeah!" I said surprised that he would ask that, "What did he do would be the main one."

"Come on," Sidney said as he wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed my head, "It'll be all right, we'll fix this."

"Something's definitely wrong, Josh is a sweet boy, he's not a fighter, and he doesn't yell at me," I muttered and Sidney grabbed my chin and pressed his lips onto mine.

"Let's just call the number," he said and I nodded my head.

Sidney grabbed the home phone and we walked into the kitchen and dialed the number, placing the phone back into the base and hitting speaker.

"Says here that her name is Mrs. Graziano," I said as the phone rang and Sidney nodded his head.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Mrs. Graziano?"

"This is she."

"Hi, my name's Julie McHale, I believe my son Jo-"

"Josh, yes, I was waiting for your phone call, I spoke to your sister, Allie in the school yard," she said and looked at Sidney.

'...Josh must have called her Aunt Allie in front of the teacher...' I thought and looked at the paper, "Yes, Allie told me that my son's been suspended for fighting, can you please fill in the blanks for me? I'm afraid I don't know what's going on. Josh is not normally like this."

"Yes I agree, he's quite a pleasure to have in class," she said and I smiled a little, "Although, I will say that he was not the one to start the fight; but still fighting is still prohibited."

"I understand, but may I have the whole story and not the spark notes version?" I asked and heard Mrs. Graziano laugh a little.

"Well, I'm not sure, but the other student, Adam Ledy, had made a comment to Josh about something during class," she started and Sidney leaned against the counter and held my hand, "Though I'm not sure what the comment was, Josh did say for him to stop being rude. Adam then shoved Josh and he fell to the ground. I stepped in-between the two and placed them in the corners of the room, but as soon as my back was turned, Adam had made another comment and tackled Josh to the ground."

"So this other boy? Adam? What's happened to him?"

"Adam's received a two day suspension," Mrs. Graziano said and I rubbed my forehead, "Ms. McHale, I do enjoy having your son in my class, but I had to follow the school rules in this situation-"

"No I understand, thank you so much for explaining what happened. I'm at least not in the dark anymore," I said and Sidney kissed my forehead.

"No problem, thank you for calling me," she said and then hung up.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair and then let my head fall onto the kitchen counter, "What am I going to do?" I groaned and then felt Sidney stand behind me and place his hands on my shoulders and start to rub them.

"It'll be all right."

"I have to go into the shop tomorrow to help Millie with some backing, she got hit with some kind of Thanksgiving themed cake," I said and Sidney wrapped his arms around my neck and I leaned my back against his chest.

"I don't have practice tomorrow, I'll watch him."

"He's grounded Sid, that means no videogames, no TV, no-"

"No fun, got it," Sidney said and I smirked and shook my head.

"That's the complete opposite of you, he's being punished Sid, this is not a vacation!" I said and Sidney kissed my cheek and headed out of the kitchen.

"I'm gunna talk to him and see what the fight was about."

"He's grounded, Sid!" I yelled as I heard Sidney on the steps, "REMEMBER, NO FUN!"
