Chapter Seventy Five

-Sidney-

"Can we talk little man?" I asked as I knocked on Josh's door and saw him sitting on his bed playing with Sasha.

"Daddy! You're back!" he yelled and jumped off of his bed. I smiled as he ran towards me and jumped up. I caught him and then picked him up and walked into the room, "When did you get home?"

"Just a few minutes ago," I said and walked towards the bed and petted Sasha's head.

"Mommy and I watched the game, I'm sorry," he said and I smirked and ruffled his hair.

"We'll get 'em next time. I wanna talk to you about something," I said and Josh nodded his head.

'...Why am I getting nervous talking to an eight year old?...' I thought as I sighed and shifted on the bed so that I could look at Josh better, "You know how your mother and I are getting married?" I asked and he nodded his head, "Well, when you mom and I are married, her last name isn't going to be McHale anymore."

"It's not?" he asked and I shook my head.

"It'll be Crosby."

"But what about me?" he asked and I smiled and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"That's what I want to talk to you about," I said and sighed, "I want to adopt you."

"What does that mean?"

"It means that I'll legally be your dad," I smiled and Josh looked at me confused.

"I thought you already were my dad," he asked and I laughed.

"I am, buddy, but-" I sighed and thought about how I was going to explain this, "Do you remember when your mom was in the hospital and that lady had to take you away?"

"Yeah," he said sadly.

"Well, if I adopt you, that won't happen," I said and Josh lit up, "You'd be my kid for real."

"Yes!" he yelled and then jumped up and hugged me tight.

I laughed and nodded my head as I wrapped my arms around him. I looked up and saw Julie standing in the doorway smiling at the sight.

"So my last name will be Crosby too?" Josh asked and I smiled and nodded my head, "Cool!"

"It's very cool," Julie laughed as she walked into the room and hugged her son.

"Mommy! I'm gunna be a Crosby!"

"I know! How exciting is that?!" she asked and Josh smiled and nodded his head.

-Julie-

"How'd it go?" I asked as Sidney walked into the kitchen as I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"Good, they want to talk to you though," he said as he walked over and kissed my cheek.

"All right, when?"

"Next week, they wanted to talk to both of us," he said as he hopped up onto the counter and stole my sandwich.

"Hey!"

"Sorry, I'm so hungry," he said and I laughed and shook my head, walked over towards the bread box and making myself another sandwich.

"Have you told the guy?"

"Not yet, I'll tell them at practice tomorrow, we have today off," Sidney said and I looked to see that he had just finished that sandwich.

Yesterday Sidney had gotten home from his games in New York and asked Josh about adopting him. I knew that Josh was going to agree. Today while Josh was at school, Sidney went to some lawyer and talked to him about the adoption, apparently it was going to be an easy process because I had full custody of my son and plus Sidney and I are getting married.

"So what's the verdict," Taylor asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you were still here," Sidney teased and I smirked and shook my head.

"Be nice to your sister," I said and Sidney shook his head.

"Mom and dad left yesterday, I'm here for another week, big bro!" Taylor said and Sidney sighed and slumped his shoulders, "Hey, be happy that I'm helping Julie with the wedding! We have just about all the decorations picked out, we're just waiting on you with the invitations!"

"Oh yeah, I'll get started on them tomorrow," he said and Taylor groaned but nodded her head.

"You know Taylor and I can do them," I said as I walked up to him on the counter and placed my hand on his knee.

"I know, but I want to do it, plus the guys are gunna help me, we'll get it done pretty fast," he said and I smirked.

"Make sure not to spill any beer on the invites," I laughed and Sidney smirked and shook his head, leaning down and pressing his lips onto mine.

"It'll be all right," he said and patted his knee.

"Whatever you say, Sid," I said and then walked out of the kitchen with my sandwich and walked into the living room to see that Taylor had magazines of hair designs all over the place.

"So have you decided what you wanted to do?"

"No, not yet," I said and Taylor nodded her head.

"Well, with that dress style, maybe half and half, or everything up," she said and then pulled out a picture, "How 'bout this?"

"Naw, I'm not a big fan of braids," I said and Taylor nodded her head.

"All right, what about this one?" she asked as she showed one that was a half up, half down, it was kind of cute.

"Maybe pile," I said and she smiled and nodded her head, "How many pictures do you have?"

"Four books."

"So a lot," I said and she smirked and nodded her head and then held up another picture, "God no."

"We'll keep trying."

"Ok."

-Sidney-

"Man Sid, this is so girly! I feel like I need to go and do something manly after this!" Cooke yelled and I laughed and nodded my head.

"Yeah, what a way to spend my day off, drinking beer and making up wedding invitations," James muttered and I shook my head.

"It's a lot to do for one person, and I don't want Julie finding out about the wedding being in Texas," I said and the guys sighed.

"Have you figured out what you're going to do about that?" Pascal asked and I nodded my head.

"Andrea is her maid of honor, so she's in charge of all that kind of maid of honor stuff-"

"Wow Sid, wait ta be so observative!" Marc busted and the guys laughed.

"Whatever! But I'm gunna have her set something up, it'll be easier, because Julie will believe it if it's from her sister," I said and the guys laughed.

"Sure, put all of the weight on the little sister!" Marc said and I rolled my eyes.

"Girls are better at that kind of stuff anyways," I said and the guys nodded their heads.

"Ok, you're right there," Geno said and I laughed and nodded my head.

After we finished doing all of the invitations, the guys took theirs so I didn't have to mail them, and I threw the rest that needed to be mailed into my bag. We all decided that we were going to do the invitation in the locker room, because after we were going to have a mini game, try to get our manhood's back after dealing with lace and flower printed papers.

"So what are we going to do for your bachelor party?" Kris asked as he smirked towards me.

"Nothing."

"Oh come on! You know that's a lie! The little dude might really be your best man, but Geno and I can put one hell of a party together!" James said and I laughed and shook my head.

"No strippers!"

"Sure, totally," Kris smirked and I rolled my eyes.

'...They're totally getting strippers...'
