Chapter Seventy Seven

-Julie-

"Oh, that looks amazing Julie," Vero said as she held her hand over her mouth and smiled brightly.

It was the last fitting of my dress and Vero and I were here to make sure that everything was all right. So far everything was good, everything is how I wanted it.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know how the hell you managed not to gain a single pound during this period!" the woman said as she zipped up my dress, "Do you eat?"

I looked towards her and giggled and heard Vero snort, "Honey, she probably eats more than all of us combined, the girl just doesn't gain a pound!"

"Lucky!" the woman said and I smirked.

Once we finished everything up with the dress, and I saw what the bridesmaids dresses looked like, Vero and I left and went for some coffee.

"Julie, we passed three coffee shops, where are you taking me?" Vero asked and I smiled when I pulled up to the coffee shop where Sidney and I met.

"This place is special to me," I said as I parked the car and got out of the car.

"What is it?"

"It's the place where Sidney and I met," I smiled as I walked through the front door and looked back towards Vero, who was smiling brightly. The smell was all too familiar to me, roasted coffee beans, vanilla, chocolate, it brought a smile to my face.

"What can I get ya?" the girl behind the counter asked happily.

Vero and I both ordered our coffees and I had to fight with Vero, because I wanted to pay for my drink, but she had none of that and bought both. We sat in the little cubby by the window, the seat that Sidney and I sat in on our first coffee date.

"Are you scared?" Vero asked and I nodded my head shyly, "Don't be," she laughed, "I was too, but there's nothing to be scared about."

"It's a good kind of scared though," I smiled and she nodded her head, "Like, I'm terrified about the future, but I'm happy with Sid, I feel like Josh and I are safe around him, around all of you."

"You've had a hard life, I can't say that you haven't, but, this is your chance to be happy," she said and then placed her hand on top of mine, "You deserve this."

"Thanks," I smiled and she nodded her head, "So do you have any idea on what Andrea has planned for this bachelorette party?"

Vero laughed and nodded her head, "But I've been sworn to secrecy."

"Vero? Keeping secrets? Please!" I laughed and Vero scoffed and slapped my hand.

"I know that Taylor is not coming, she's going to stay at your place and watch Josh when we're all gone."

"Can you at least tell me the date?" I asked and Vero pulled out her phone.

"We leave July 1st for Miami," she said and I smiled, "Less than a month."

"When do we come back?"

"July 8th."

"That's a day before the wedding!" I said shocked and Vero nodded her head, "Oh no! No, no, no, that's too risky."

"Julie, it'll be fine."

"It'll be just like that movie 'The Hangover'!" I panicked and Vero laughed.

"Calm down, no one's gunna drug anyone, we'll be fine!" Vero said and I groaned and shook my head, "I think we have a seven in the morning flight, so we have plenty of time, everything will be fine!"

"What if something goes wrong? What if our flight gets delayed? What if-"

"Calm down Jewels! Breathe! Everything will be fine," Vero said and I sighed, "Trust me when I say that Andrea has everything planned and taken care of."

I nodded my head and Vero patted my hand and took a sip from her coffee.

-Sidney-

"So when are you going to take her to look at rings?" Marc asked as we sat in Marc's game room playing video games.

"As soon as your wife returns my fiancé," I smirked when I referred to Julie as my fiancé.

"Oh god, it's puppy love," Marc teased and I shoved his shoulder and managed to score against him on the game, "Yo! No fair! Interference!"

"Too damn bad!" I laughed and then heard footsteps coming down the stairs and turned around to see Josh walking down with Sasha, "Hey little man, nice nap?"

Josh nodded his head and then walked over towards me and wrapped his arms around my chest, "Where's mommy?"

"She's out with Auntie V," Marc answered and then ruffled Josh's hair.

"Still?" Josh whined and we laughed.

"Get use to it kid, they're girls, it's in their nature to shop for hours," I said as I pulled him onto my lap.

"I'm offended by that stereotype," I heard and turned my head to see Vero and Julie walking down the stairs with some shopping bags.

"Mommy!" Josh yelled and then jumped off of my lap and ran over towards Julie.

"Hi baby!" Julie smiled and then bent down and wrapped her arms around Josh, "Did you have fun with daddy and Uncle Marc?"

"Uncle Marc let me jump on the bed-"

"Hey now kid, that was supposed to be a secret!" Marc said and then looked nervously at Vero who looked a little mad.

"Uh, I mean, NO he didn't!!!" Josh said and I laughed and kissed his head.

"Real smooth kid, real smooth," Marc muttered and Sidney and I laughed.

"Is that a new shirt?" Julie asked as she looked at Josh's shirt, "I don't remember leaving that one out for you."

"We went for ice cream and Sasha jumped up on me. The ice cream went all over me," he said and I smirked and nodded his head.

"Where's the dirty shirt?" Julie asked as she looked at me.

"We washed it, he can wear it for tomorrow," I said and Julie nodded her head, "You ready?"

"Yeah," she smiled and then kissed Josh and stood up.

Today we were going to go ring shopping and then spend the night alone together, no dog, no kid, no worries. Vero and Marc agreed to watch Sasha and Josh for the night, and I can see that, that decision might be getting Marc in trouble.

Usually if we would go out, Julie would have Allie watch Josh, since she had Conner. But after Conner died, we understood why Allie didn't want to really come near kids for a little while. Conner might have been her nephew and not her son, but, Allie practically raised that boy.

"So do you have an idea of where we're going?" Julie asked as we walked into the car, having said bye to Josh and the others.

"There are about three places that looked pretty good."

"Wow, you even did your homework," she laughed as I nodded my head and started the car, "I'm impressed."

"Well, Google helped a lot," I laughed and drove out of the driveway.

"You sure that Josh is going to be all right with Vero and Marc?" Julie asked as she waved bye to them.

"He'll be fine, Marc is going to have a partner in crime," I laughed turning the corner and leaving the neighborhood to head into the city.

"I'm afraid that I'm going to get a phone call saying that Vero's having a panic attack," she laughed and I took her hand and brought her fingers to my lips.

"Everything will be fine," I said, "You're just as bad as Vero when it comes to worrying."

She giggled and then sighed, "So I have a question."

"Shoot."

"Do you want to write your own vows or-"

"Sure," I said and looked at her when I stopped at a red light.

"Really?"

"Yeah," I laughed and she smiled brightly.

"Really?!" she repeated against excitedly and then pressed her lips onto mine.

"You're so cute," I laughed and laced my fingers with hers, and then heard a horn behind us, "Oops."

"Pay attention to the road, Sid," she teased.

"Yeah well, stop distracting me," I laughed and headed towards the directions that my phone gave me to the first jewelry store.
