Later that day in the ice cream parlor shop in Pittsburgh, Kari and Jonathan are eating ice cream.
"I'm so glad that you were able to make it!" Kari says ebulliently.
"Yea..." Jonathan stirs his ice cream, making ice cream soup.
"So, what powers do you have?"
"Um...we're not suppose to talk about that in public."
"Well, nobody's listening."
"But Niemi says so--it's the rule!"
"Who cares about that old goalie dude!" Kari rolls his eyes and scoffs. "Besides, I'm a better goalie than him."
"Really? So why are the Sharks in 5th while the Stars are in 8th place?"
"But our team knows his weakness. We always beat him...and his team."
"True, but I'm a better goalie since the Kings are in 4th place. Boo-yah."
"Shut up! So rude!"
"Hm. Well then, ummm...I should get going--"
"No way, Jose! You are staying right here!"
The parlor's lights immediately go off, the curtains close, making it more dark, and it is oddly empty.
"Whoa. What happened?" Jonathan looks around with a confused look.
"Prepare to be shredded!" Ryan jumps out of nowhere with knives coming out from his sleeves; he begins to throw them at Jonathan.
Jonathan gets up and makes a force field, protecting Kari and him. "Kari, stay down! We're under attack!"
"I'm not a baby! I know how to fight!" Kari hovers above the ground and shoots light through Jonathan's force field, striking Ryan.
Ryan falls to the ground, knocked out.
Jonathan makes his force field disappear. "How did your powers go through my force field--?"
"LIKE THIS!!!" Kari shoots his light at Jonathan, knocking him out on the ground.
Ryan groans and gets up. "Great work, kid."
Kari lands gracefully on the ground and dusts his hands together. "Thanks. He may be a better goalie than me, but I know how to beat his powers."
"I've always wanted to pierce through that bubble of his. How do you do that?"
"It's a secret of mine."
"Oh, okay. So, now we shall take him to the HQs..."
"...to meet his doom..."
"...with his master!"
Kari and Ryan laugh evilly together.
