The One Night That Changed My Life Forever

Home Sweet Home

"Mom! Dad! Scotty! Dyl! I missed you guys so much!" I practically screamed making my way into the waiting area at the London Airport. The airport was by no means large, but it did the trick."
"Rach!" Everyone rushed in to give me a hug. "We missed you too little sis" my two older brothers chimed in.
"Our little girl is back in Canada! How is Chicago treating you girl?" my dad asked.
"It's great, the city is great. I love it."
"You sure it's just the city you think is great?" my brothers snickered to themselves.
"I heard something about a boy" dad added making the situation that much more awkward.
"Yes, and like I told mom you will see him soon. I think he is flying into Toronto Friday night." So it wasn't a complete lie. They did have a game in Toronto Friday night, but my family didn't have to know that he wasn't in Canada for me.
The rest of the days seemed to fly by so fast. All leading up to the big day. At dinner the night before the game, I put the plan in motion. "So, I have to go up to Ottawa tomorrow to get a few things I left up there when I was in school. Plus I wanted to go see a few of my friends." Also not a lie, but they didn't need to know my friends were from Chicago.
"Alright. Did you need to borrow the car?"
"Well I was wondering if you guys wanted to join me. We could make a family vacation out of it. It will be fun. It's been forever since we have done something like this as a family. So what do you guys say?"
"Well.." there was humming and hawing around the table. It was obvious my brothers were in, now it was for the secret weapon.
"I also got five tickets to the Sens game from my friend in Ottawa, at a hefty price of course so you guys can't not come" I said pouting.
"Fine, we will go. Just for a night though. It was nice of you to get us tickets to the game. Who's it against?"
"Well, you see that's why my friend offered them to me first. It's against Chicago and she knew that I wouldn't pass up an opportunity like this to see my two cities face off against one another. Plus now I can see all of my favourite players all on one rink. Kane, Toews, Sharp, Ryan, Karlsson, Turis… Plus I haven't made it to many games in Chicago, so she thought this would be perfect for me."
"Well it should be a good game. I'm excited" my dad said. "Me too's" were said around the table as everyone agreed, and soon everyone was talking about their favourite players, and the game tomorrow night. Weren't they in for a surprise.
*FF Game time*
Just like Jon promised the tickets were at the desk for me. Making sure not to draw attention to myself as the woman behind the desk looked at who had given me the tickets. I also laughed when I caught a glance of the note attached to the tickets.
"Well Ms. Carson and Family. It's your lucky day. For being the 10 000th fan into the building today, we would like to offer you locker room passes to meet players from either team after the game."
"WOW! Really? Guys did you hear that we get to meet the players after the game! I get to meet some of my hawkey stars!!! I'm so excited." Everyone was excited, and I finally took the tickets winked at the woman, mouthing nice job before herding my family off to find our seats. I was worried my family would be a bit suspicious of the amazing seats that somehow Jon had managed to get us. We weren't right on the ice, but we had a great view of the game. I had convinced my family to wear Hawks jerseys over Ottawa ones, because even if they didn't know it, it would have been awkward after the game meeting Pat in the opposing team's jersey not that he would have cared though. Everyone was super into the game. I saw Jon whispering to Pat a few times, obviously dropping hints at him to pick up his game, and to score some goals. He obviously didn't tell him I was there, otherwise knowing Pat my whole plan would have been ruined. However after scoring his second goal, I saw Jon talking to him again. I just imagined him saying " You better get a hat trick. You have someone to impress tonight." Most of my family was around me, but we were a bit scattered due to last minute planning done by yours truly. I didn't mind because a few seconds later I saw Pat staring at me. Jon smacked him, telling him to focus and not to make a big deal of it and probably the fact that I would see him after the game. Pat scored his third goal midway through the third. Giving his team a huge 5-1 lead against the Sens. When the horn sounded that's how the game stood. I smiled back towards the bench, and made my way back up to the gate where my family was waiting.
"You guys ready to go?" I sent a text to Jon, telling him to secretly inform the team to treat me as a complete stranger, and that they would see why momentarily.
"Yup, wanna go see the Hawks first Rach?" Scott, and Dylan asked me.
"Sure. That sounds good. You down with that Mom and Dad?"
"Whatever you kids want, seeing as it was you that got us the seats."
We made our way down to the locker room hallway. I was met by some of the speedy hawks that probably didn't have too much press to deal with.
"Hi, you guys must be the winners from tonight's contest. I'm Patrick Sharp by the way. And who might you be?"
"Well I'm Rachel" I winked. "And these are my brothers Scott, and Dylan. And these are my parents Joyce and Dan."
"Nice to meet you all. I'll get the rest of the team out here to meet you guys. Rachel since you were the true 10 000th fan we would love to have you do a tour of the locker room. If you want to of course that is."
"How could I say no to that."
"Are all the press cleared out yet?"
"Yup, there's still a few players you have yet to meet" he winked at me leading me into the room.
"I'll be right back guys" going into the room, looking for Pat. I found his stall, and snuck up on him while he had his back faced to the door. I put my arms around his waist and brought him into a bear hug. "Nice hat trick sexy I whispered in his ear."
"Rach! I didn't know you were coming! I can't believe that you are here. And how did Tazer know before me?"
"Well it wouldn't have been much of a surprise if I had asked you to look into getting tickets for the game. So I asked the Captain" I smiled turning to Jon.
"How did you manage to get that many seats that close together? And that close?" I asked Jonny.
"I have connections" he replied smirking.
"Oh, you most definitely do. I owe ya" I replied laughing at his cocky comment.
"Wait you got her multiple seats? Who else is here?"
"Well, umm. Bring em in Sharpie" I yelled untangling myself from Pat's embrace. "I thought that since I met you family, you could meet mine in the same circumstances, seeing as they have no idea we know one another." Pat stood there dumbfounded as one by one my family walked into the locker room. Automatically finding people to talk with. Crow came in asking "to what do we owe this pleasure?" My brothers responded " Well we won this contest for being the 10 000th fan into the game, and as a prize we got to come and check out the locker rooms after the game. Great saves by the way" Dylan added.
" I didn't know they did that but, that's cool. Nice to meet you." and just like that my plan disinegrated as he saw me his face lighting up "Hey Rach! How's it going?" Finally he saw my glares, and Sharpie filled him in. "I'm great thanks, you played great today Crow" I winked, I might as well go for it as I saw my brother's gaping faces at the fact that I knew Crawford. My parents hadn't heard which was impressive.
"Wait you two have met before?" Dylan asked as he looked between Crawford and I. I gave him the thumbs up, seeing as the charade wasn't going to last much longer anyways.
"Yah, I've known her since… just after christmas. Yah that's right."
"Hmmm yup I thinks that's when " I made it seem as though I was thinking back into last years events.
"You know a Blackhawk and you didn't tell us?" my brothers looked shocked.
"Sorry, about that. Didn't seem like that big of a deal. I also seem to have a jersey signed by over half the team if you guys hadn't noticed. I mean really, did you guys not notice that and wonder how I got them all? I have connections too" I said winking at Jon.
"You just winked at Jonathan Toews! And he winked back! What is going on here?" my brothers exclaimed trying to put two and two together. The guys that were in the room just laughed shaking their heads at my brothers.
"Mom! Dad! She knows Crawford, you know the goalie. And she winked at the Captain too! Can you believe it. Less than half a year in Chicago and she knows some of the players!!!!"
"Mom and Dad continued making their way through all the players, not giving the boys much attention.
"And who might this be? You are the one that scored the hat trick tonight aren't you? You are a great player!"
"I'm the other Patrick, nice to meet you. And thanks, I had some inspiration tonight, made me want to play the game of my life."
"Well you did great son. You should be proud of yourself."
"Do you happen to know our daughter too?"
"Yupp, she is a regular. Everyone here knows her" he said playing it off nonchalantly.
"You know EVERYONE?" my brothers decided to make their appearance known again.
"Yupp, Jonny was the one that got me the tickets" I said watching their faces go from utter confusion, to disbelief as I hugged Jon and he hugged back.
"Are you dating him?" my brothers asked.
"Umm no, what gave you that idea? I mean seriously Jonny, he's my best friend but no I have a feeling we will never be more than friends" I said winking at Jon as the team laughed at their question.
"Man, you are lucky! I want to move to Chicago now! No Fair! Mom! Dad! How is she friends with Jonny Toews?" I could tell they were putting two and two together, so I turned back and smirked at Pat mouthing "Get ready" and I went back and socialized with Sharpie.
"This is going to be great" Sharpie laughed. "This is the first time Kaner's ever been put in a predicament like this."
"Well I had to have my payback. Did you know that at my first game I sat beside his family the whole time, without him telling me or anything throughout the whole game. I felt like an idiot after that, so this game was perfect timing."
"Haha I don;t think your brothers have a clue what's going on, but it looks as though your parents have figured it out" he nodded to them moving back over to Pat. I felt bad for leaving him alone, but I figured it was best to get it over and done with now. I however did listen into the conversation."
"Sorry. Your name is Patrick right?" my Mom asked.
"Yup" he replied his smile never faltering.
" I'm guessing you are going to be in Toronto on Friday?"
"Umm well we all are. We have a game there."
"Is that so?" my mom asked. Everyone in the room was watching now, waiting for what happened next to unfold.
"And you know my daughter."
"Yes."
"What are you getting at mom? Spit it out already." my impatient brothers said.
"Do you have a friend in the hospital?" mom asked. This is it I thought to myself making eye contact with some of the guys. I finally set my gaze on Pat my smile obviously gave him a boost of confidence, and reassurance that he would be fine.
"Ya, a little girl named Isabelle. She has become a member of the team. Why?"
"You wouldn't happen to have enough money to buy my daughter a plane ticket would you?"
"Umm, yes I have quite a bit" he laughed.
"Rachel?"
"Yes Mom. Dad? What's up"
"Anything you would like to say before we tell our version?"
"Well actually I do have something to say" I winked at my brothers. "I have been great friends with all these guys since just after christmas. I met them all the night Mike cheated on me. Anyways this was all Jon's doing, there was no contest… Anyways they are like my family, and Imdatingpat" I whispered and said the last part really quickly.
"Sorry couldn't here that last part" my mom smirked at me.
"Fine!" I said making my way over to Pat. My brothers watched again with disbelief written all over their faces. I gave Pat a quick kiss and said " There now that that's settled Family, meet Pat and Pat meet Family. "
"You have something to say boys?" I said laughing as they were speechless. "Nope ok, well I'm going to leave you guys to socialize. I'll be back" I said pulling Pat out of the room, and into the safety of the deserted hallway. "So did you like my surprise sweetie?" I laughed.
"Well I have to admit I liked the first part of it better than the second. But you family seems pretty cool. I guess I deserved that too, after the first game you went to."
"So I want to thank you for being so great in there."
"What did you have in mind?"
"Well I was going to start with this" I said leaning up and kissing him. He kept me against the wall, deepening the kiss.
"Ehhh hem…" we were interrupted by my brothers.
"Yes?" We both asked in sync.
"That is so weird and cool at the same time. My sister is dating Patrick Kane, who knew" Scott exclaimed.
"If you two could stay off of one another for a while, the parents are seeking your presence. I think we are going out to dinner."
"Ok, we will be right in." I replied turning back to Pat and kissing him again, this time breaking away promising more later.
"Yes, Mom and Dad? What's up? I here we are going to dinner?"
"Yes, we thought it would be a nice way of getting to know Pat here, and have a great excuse to have a meal as a family."
"Alright then" I sighed as I turned back to Pat. " Is that going to be okay with Coach? What time is curfew?"
"We have a late flight tomorrow to Toronto, so it will be fine."
"Perfect. Its was nice meeting you guys" my family said to the guys that had stuck around.
"I'm going to head with Pat. Where were you thinking? We could go to a small restaurant beside the market. The food is great, and we…" I said looking at Pat " Shouldn't draw too much attention."
"Alright, we will meet you guys there."
"Well this should be fun" I said jokingly on the way out of the arena.
"Why do you say that?"
"Well because we don't have a car for starters, and because we are having dinner with my family."
"Crap! I totally forgot about the whole vehicle situation."
"Don't worry I texted my parents, and they are going to head back to the hotel first. We however are going to take a cab into downtown. Wouldn't want you to have to take the bus, after destroying the home team now would we?" I smirked.
"Hey! That would be fun. I say we go that route. Plus it has been ages since I have felt like a normal person."
"You sure? OC-Transpo is nothing to be proud of. I should know I've been stuck taking it for over three years" I laughed trying to figure out if he was serious or not. I guess he was serious as he started asking if I knew the way into downtown.
"Fine we will take the bus. Just don't try to draw too much attention to yourself" I said shaking my head at how stupid this idea was.
"Me draw attention? With a body and a face like this… never" he gasped.
"Haha, funny but to cut this short the bus is here and unless you want to wait another 30 minutes for another I suggest running."
"Man, I don't think I've had to run for a bus since I was back in middle school. I can see why taking cars is much more enjoyable."
"Really, you can play hockey for an hour, yet you are complaining at the short run to the bus?" I questioned as we made our way onto the bus. Pat had his hood up which hid his face, but it didn't help that his sweater had the huge Blackhawk symbol front and centre. He got a few stares, and of course some boo's from some Sens fans, but we made it to some seats in one piece. "Hey Pat look, we aren't the only Hawk fans on the bus" I said pointing back a few rows to a family all decked out in Hawks gear. "Why don't we move a few rows back and say hi?"
"I see, you are right. I mean its the least I can do for a few fans this far away from Chicago. Plus you are just too nice of a person, and I wouldn't feel right not going" He smirked and we proceeded to the back of the bus.
"I see you guys are Hawks fans. You don't mind if we sit back here with you? It's a little hostile up front after that knockout win."
"No problem. So where are you guys from?"
"Well I'm from London originally, and he is from Buffalo, but we both live in Chicago now. Me for work and my boyfriend here is there for work."
"How about you guys?"
"Well we were on vacation visiting family in Quebec and decided to hit the Hawks game on out way back down to Chicago."
"Wow, dedicated fans. Thanks for coming out" Pat said from beside me, still hiding his face.
"Mom, why is his face covered?" one of the older girls around 15 asked.
"I don't know. Don't be rude Erica" her mom scolded.
I laughed. "Well actually he doesn't want people seeing his face. It might cause a huge scene here in Ottawa, and on this bus especially."
"Why what did he do?" the girl asked obviously confused.
"Well if you promise to stay quiet, and not draw a lot of attention he might just tell you that himself" I said smiling looking over, seeing what the verdict would be.
"I promise!" "Me too!" said the other girl, and boy.
"Well lets just say, he might have made a fool of Ottawa tonight."
"Really why?" all the kids asked in unison.
"Well, because I might have scored a few too may goals tonight" Pat said beside me smirking, before lifting his head up, and taking of his cap while turning to the family.
"OMG! Mom!" The kids all turned around looking at their parents, keeping quiet when they saw Pat put a finger over his lips.
"Dad. Do you know who that is?" The one boy whispered in his dad's ear.
"Yes, I think I do" he smiled. "Great game today son, hell of a season too."
"Thank you, for coming out."
"Wow who could of imagined taking a family trip to Quebec would result in meeting The Patrick Kane" the one girl said in amazement. "Best Vacation Ever!"
"Why are you taking the bus though?"
"Haha I'll answer that one" I said laughing and pointing at Patrick. "He wanted to feel like a normal person again so here we are taking public transportation to meet my parents for dinner. Unbelievable eh? However this definitely brings me back to my teenage, and university days here. Do you guys want to take a few pics? I can move, and take some of you."
"You don't mind?" the parents said looking between us both. "I don't mind at all. I love seeing fans of the Hawks everywhere even if I don't even play for them. Pat that okay with you?"
"You guys don't even have to ask" he said laughing beckoning the kids over. "Its a pleasure, honestly." With that I slid out of the seat allowing the kids to come one by one for their photo. I took one of the family, as well and some of Pat goofing of with the dad. We should have thought about the whole taking the hood off, because soon enough people started to shift their attention to the back, watching us take pictures. They took on of Pat and I, and then Pat signed a few things before he was recognized. We were pretty close to downtown, so I knew if it got too crazy we could make a break for it at any stop.
"I know you. Your that player that scored the hat trick tonight!" a random person exclaimed.
"Haha. Yup. Sorry about that" Pat winked at the man. I was surprised though at how many people seemed to forget the team they were supporting, and came back to get autographs and pictures. "Told ya this would happen" I whispered in Pat's ear.
"Yah but its fun, get to gain a few more fans up here in the cold north, and make it to dinner on time" he laughed.
"Fine, get your fan crap done" I laughed. "We are almost at the market."
When we made it to the market it was after 10:30. We had managed to shake most of the people from the bus, and made our way over to the small sports bar restaurant I had spent many nights during university at. "Maybe it wasn't such a smart idea to bring you to a sports bar, but oh well its the only place with good food open this late at night. Plus it's right next to your hotel."
"You creeped our hotel?"
"No I asked Taze. Really? I'm not that much of a puck slut" I laughed shaking my head.
"No you are so much better," he said kissing me as we made our way inside. We found my family at a table, watching sports highlights of tonights game.
"Pat hurry up, you are about to miss yourself on TV!" my brothers beckoned Pat to join them. " You want something to drink? I'm going to head to the bar. You have fun with my brothers" I winked.
"Ya, just get me a beer. Thanks Rach. I better get over there before I miss my hat trick" he winked and joined my brothers on the couch facing the TV.
When I got back, everyone seemed normal. They were all taking part in a conversation laughing and watching the TV.
"Hey, guys what's up? Here Pat" I said handing him his beer.
"Well, not only was I noticed for my amazing playmaking abilities, but also for a lack of attention to the game during the third period. They even have a close up of Jon hitting me, multiple times" he pouted.
"Awe, babe I'm sorry. Did I cause you to loose focus? Did they say the reasoning behind your shift of focus?"
"No, but they will figure it out, once the media reviews the footage and sees what was in the section I was looking at. Sorry looks like you and I will probably be in the media tonight or tomorrow morning" he said worry crossing his face.
"It's fine. I had to expect that sort of reaction from you, seeing you have the bestest girl in the world, that would wear your jersey even when you are playing my ex-favourite team" I laughed.
After an hour or so, my parents decided to call it a night. They dragged, yes literally dragged my brothers with them back to the hotel. I told them that I would be back in the morning and that I was going to chill with the guys before they headed back to Toronto, then Chicago. They were reluctant at first, but I assured them no funny business, and the fact that all the guys needed their sleep so they had nothing to worry about. Pat and I walked hand in hand back to the hotel, not drawing too much attention, but stopping many of the Hawks fans we passed a long the way surprising them with photos and autographs. By the time we made it back to the hotel, it was 12. The curfew for the guys, even though it was later seeing as they didn't have a game until friday. I didn't want coach Q getting mad though so I made sure to time our walk perfectly with curfew.
"How was dinner?" The guys at the hotel bar laughed as they saw Pat and I walked in.
"I see you two are still holding hands, so I take that as a good sign" Sharpie said emerging from behind us.
"It was fun" Pat responded ordering both him and I another beer.
"So, boys what did you guys get up to tonight? Not too much trouble I hope" I questioned the guys looking at them one by one.
"Nope. No trouble Rach." Taze said, the rest of the boys nodded in agreement.
"Okay, so what's up tonight? Anything fun planned?" Pat asked the guys taking a sip from my glass.
"Well Q said we could head out tonight as long as we are back by three, and not drunk" Taze said glaring at everyone. "Got it boys?"
There was a chorus of annoyed okays from the younger boys, and some well deserved eye rolls from the older guys.
"Rach anyplace you'd recommend?"
"Well I do know one place, and you guys will be welcomed there."
"Alright I'm trusting her" Pat said putting his hand around my waist. "You better not take us to some Senator crazed bar, missy."
"Oh no you guys don't have to worry about that, you guys would never live that down. Man there is a perk to living in this city" I laughed as the boys got up and followed me out the door waving bye to Coach Q before leaving, and promising that he would have them all back in one piece in a few hours.
"You like?" I questioned the boys as we made our way into a small disco outfitted in Hawks memorabilia.
"How in hell does Ottawa have a Blackhawks themed disco?" The boys asked each other in amazement while making their way to the front of the line.
"It's your home away from home boys, now lets go celebrate that win" I said making my way to the bouncer. I whispered a few things, involving Blackhawks and getting into the club, which they understood perfectly as they saw people in line figuring out who the group of guys trailing me were. We were ushered into the club, instantly welcomed into a party atmosphere. We were given the VIP room, for an couple autograph exchanges, and just like that we were in.
"To answer your question boys, we have a Blackhawks themed disco because up here in Ottawa we rebel, and recognize true talent" I smirked at the guys reactions.
"Totally coming here after every game in Ottawa!" Shaw yelled over the music.
"I'm going to say this once boys, so your captain here doesn't get in trouble. We will all be back here at 2:30 when we will slip through the back entrance and back to the hotel. I am giving you guys a five minute window, and if you aren't back you guys get to find your own way back, and deal with the wrath of Coach Q yourself as I am for sure certain that you guys know he will be still up at three. There will be no drunk people coming back, and again I will not take the blame. Now that that's clear lets go celebrate!"
"Ok" the guys responded looking sincere before making their way to mingle on the crowded dance floor.
"Taze loosen up and go have fun out there!" I screamed over the music, watching as he shook his head at me. Patrick and I made our way out onto the dance floor, falling in sync instantly with one another and with the music. We didn't get bothered much, except the odd picture. "So how are you enjoying your last night being publicly single Patty?
"Mhmmm I'd say its pretty great seeing as I get to spend the whole night dancing with the best girl I could ever ask for, my girlfriend" he whispered in my ear, while spinning me around to give me a kiss.
"I'd say the same thing, about my last day of freedom from the media. I think my boyfriend is totally worth it" I smirked leaning up to kiss him again. I knew these pictures would end up somewhere by the end of the night, but as of now I didn't care, it was only a matter of time anyways. How many more times would they see me with the guys before they figured something was up, I thought to myself sinking into the kiss. It was just Pat and I, nothing else mattered in the world because we were together as one, and we were indestructible. We ignored the comments involving whether Pat was cheating, and where his ex was seeing as to the public they were still an item as he hadn't been seen with anyone else lately. We shook our heads, and made our way side by side back into the VIP room, where most of the guys resided already.
"There's the lovebirds" Sharpie cooed. "Come sit while we wait and see if the young ones are going to be back on time."
I made my way over to Jon. "I saw you chatting up that girl at the bar. She's pretty and she didn't seem to attention driven, how did that go? "
"Good I guess, I got her number. She told me to call her whenever I'm in Ottawa and want to hang, sooooo…ya"
"Good job man! I'm proud of you I said punching his shoulder lightly. "So you going to call her? Tonight maybe?" I hinted. "I mean I'm sure she wouldn't mind hanging tonight, and Pat and I can get a different room."
"Well I think I'll call her, but you guys don't have to change rooms. I think we are just going to chill. Double date movie style? That work with you?"
"For sure, I haven't been on one forever, even if its just a test to see how many puck bunny symptoms she shows during the night, when she realizes she has to spend it with us" I laughed easily understanding Jon's plan. "But I'm proud of you Jonny, it doesn't take much for us women to feel degraded. Just make sure she knows you are attracted to her, and that you care about her feelings otherwise she might get the complete wrong idea that you don't like her."
"Damn, you women can be so confusing at sometimes" he laughed.
"But still you love us" I winked, going back to Patrick giving him a short kiss and explaining how tonight was going to go down. Jon went back to the girl telling her the hotel, and what room we would be in. I hoped she showed up, and guessing from the smiling and blushing it was working. Since It was 2:30 we waited anxiously and mass texted the guys giving them a five minute warning. Somehow everyone was back by 2:35 and not too drunk. We made our exit after going on stage, and saying goodbye to Ottawa. Coach was surprised to say the least when we all walked in happy, and not drunk. We said our goodnights, I assured the coach that nothing was going to happen between Pat and I, and that Jon would be in the room at all times.
"So what's your girls name Jonny boy?" Pat asked.
"Well her name is Amanda, and she isn't my girl!" Jon was quick to reply.
"Whatever you say man. I'm going to take a shower" he said heading into the room and shutting the door.
"You aren't going to join him?" Jon asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Nahh, I figured you wouldn't appreciate that."
"Well…I wouldn't mind as long as you were quiet, and out of there and proper before Amanda gets here which is in thirty minutes."
"Really Jon?"
"Believe me I've witnessed worse thanks to your boyfriend there, but I am much more in agreeance having you in there with him. Plus you do owe him one, springing your parents on him" he laughed and winked at me.
"Ok well, if you are sure. Thanks Jonny boy."
"Don't mention it and remember the rules!!!! 30 minutes and you better be presentable."
"Kdoky see you in 25" I laughed as he shook is head as I made my way into the room.
*******
Pat's POV
I heard the door opening and locking. I had no idea what to expect, when I heard some music start playing.
"Pat?"
"Rach? What are you doing in…oh i see. You figure your joining me huh?"
"That was the plan" she smiled back at me, letting her hair down.
"What is Jon doing out there? " I asked.
"Well he is watching TV with the sound blasted, and as of now we have 20 minutes to shower and be ready before Amanda gets here sooooooo…"
"Got it" I said bringing her to me and into the shower. The water felt so good falling over my body. A couple times we both forgot Jon was separated by just a while, and we had to keep reminding each other to keep it down. 15 minutes later we were officially showered, and in the process of getting changed for the night. This process was not a quick one seeing as it was hard for me to keep my hands off of my beautiful girl. However we made it out with five minutes to spare flinging ourselves onto my bed, and making ourselves comfortable for the movie.
"What movie we watching Jon?" I asked.
"Whatever Amanda and Rach want" he replied. "How was your shower?"
"Very refreshing, thanks Jon" Rach replied. " I hope we weren't too loud" she said blushing.
"Not at all" he smirked. "But did you guys knock the shampoo bottle down or something. I was sure I heard one of you two swearing after a large thump."
"Yah, That was not me!" Rach said matter of factly. Just then there was a knock on the door, and I ran and got it before Jon telling him that I had this.
"Hello" I said.
"Hi, Um Is Jon here or did I get the wrong room?"
"Nahh, he's been in here waiting for you like a lost puppy. I'm Patrick, and you must be Amanda. Nice to meet you. And this is my girlfriend Rachel" I said pointing to Rach looking comfy in bed. Rach introduced herself and almost effortlessly made Amanda comfortable in the situation she was in. Jon and I looked at one another as she whispered something in Amanda's ear to which she instantly smiled. Amanda made her way under the covers beside Jon, and I made my way back to my side of the bed beside Rach. We watched some random movie that was on the rental list. When I asked Rach what she had said to Amanda, she just smiled and whispered "Something that made her understand the situation, and the fact that Jon must really like her, and that it's my fault that she won't be getting any tonight, not that she was worried. I mean look at the two of them aren't they just precious?"
"Haha I see what you mean."
"Taze we are going to sleep, see you in the morning. It was nice meeting you Amanda."
"Yah it was really nice, I hope you will stay for breakfast tomorrow! I would love to get to know you better" Rach said sounding excited.
"Nice meeting you guys too, and we will see. Night guys."
"Ha ha they are going to be totally inseparable, just watch" Rach whispered to me.
"Oh, I believe you. I have never seen him act like such a girl" I joked back.
"Hey don't be mean" she said play slapping me.
"I know he just isn't usually this happy."
"We shall see in the morning" she said still whispering.
"Love ya, Rach. Sweet dreams"
"Love you too she replied and we drifted off to sleep in each others arms.

Great job

Amazing job. Wasn't expecting him to have another kid from a different relationship in this story. Kudos for them for not resenting each other or the kid though. Great job
