No Sense of Direction 044:

Chapter Forty Four

"Hey," Sidney said as he walked through the stable door and saw me sitting in front of my computer in the office.

"Hey," I muttered, not even looking up from the computer.

"What are you doing?" he asked and I heard him sit on the couch.

"Bills, give me a little bit, I'm almost finished," I said and then heard Sidney stand up from the couch and walk outside the office.

It's been about four days since Chris came up and brought his team with him. The day after I met them, they had a big event, I didn't really know or care about what it was about, I didn't have to go. The next day, most of the guys that didn't want to go home, came over to my house and hung around, enjoying the land. Chris took some of them out on the trails, they rode the quads, dirt bikes and go-karts. It was their own

My cell phone rang and I groaned because I wanted to be left alone so that I could do my bills. I grab it, and looked to see that Tyler was calling me. I was a little confused but answered it none the less, "Hey Ty, what's up, I'm a little busy."

"I need your help," he said sadly.

"Anything, what's wrong?"

"I can't be here, I'm going crazy," he sighed and I rubbed my face and leaned back on my chair.

"You still not taking the injury well?"

"No, I can't stand that rehab lady, ended up firing her. Will you help me?"

"Sure, come on down, I have plenty of room."

"Marshall too?"

"Bring the little cutie too!" I laughed and looked at the calendar on my desk, "When you coming?"

"Probably in a few days, thanks so much, Kat."

"Anything Ty, you're practically family," I smiled and looked up to see Sidney in the doorway.

"You know Lucic asks about you, he knows I still talk to you," Tyler said and I sighed.

"Don't tell me that, Ty, I don't want to know," I said and Tyler sighed.

"Understand, well, I'll let you go, I'll see you in a few days."

"All right, see you then, Ty."

"Love you, Kat."

"Love you too," I said and then hung up the phone and looked at my computer.

"What's going on?" Sidney asked as he walked into the office and I looked up at him to see him leaning against the doorway.

"Tyler's coming down."

"Who?"

"Seguin."

"Oh, how's he doin'?"

"Not good, he's not handling his injury well. He fired his physical therapist."

"So what, he thinks you'll help him?" Sidney asked sounding a little annoying.

"Relax Sid, Tyler's like a little brother to me," I said and then sighed looking at my computer, "He's like how you were when you had your concussion, he can't be around it. The longer he's around it, the faster he wants to come back."

"I get it."

"Here, he's at least somewhat away from it, and I'll help him through his rehab," I said and Sidney nodded his head and walked over towards me, leaning on the back of the chair as I looked back at the computer.

"You finished?" he asked and I smirked and then finished up on paying the last bill.

"Yes."

"Good," he said as he spun my chair around, pulled me up, and pressed his lips onto mine.

I laughed as Sidney grabbed my hips and started to pull me away from my chair and then he collapsed onto couch, pulling my onto his lap. He was careful with my cheek, because even though the bruise was somewhat gone, it was a little sore.

-Tyler-

I was packing my room up, with my sisters' help because it was a little hard with the cast on my arm. I hated the fact that I was going to be out the rest of the season, I was so miserable. My Captain thought that it might be a good idea to get out of Boston and take some time myself. What better way to do that, and get my arm healed up at the same time, then to be with Kat.

It took me about two days to get everything packed into my car, and what didn't fit, I shipped it. Kat wasn't going to be there when I got there, she was going to be in Buffalo for an away game against the Sabres. Her friend Dana was going to be there and show me where I was going to be staying.

It was a long drive to Pittsburgh, I had to stop a lot to take my medicine and then to let Marshall, my chocolate lab, go to the bathroom. It took my about two days, but I made it to her house and was in awe, because I never really saw it before. The gate was opened so I pulled into the driveway and then parked my car in front of the front porch. I texted Kat, telling her that I was here, and she was going to call Dana, telling her that I was here because Kat said that she might be with the horses.

My phone rang and I saw that Kat was telling me to just go in. I left Marshall in the car and started to carry my stuff into the house. It took a while, and I needed to make a lot of trips, but just as I was about to finish, a girl showed up and introduced herself to be Dana.

'...Sure, she shows up when I'm almost finished...' I thought as I shook her head and she offered to get the rest.

"Nice puppy," she cooed as she bent down to pet Marshall's head, "What's your name?"

"Marshall," I smiled and she smirked and then stood up.

"Well, Kat told me where to put you, she'll be back tomorrow night."

"All right," I said and then she started to grab my bags and we headed up the stairs.

"This is your room, Kat's is down the hall and mine is downstairs," she said as she opened the door and I looked around to see that it was pretty big, "This use to be Kat's room."

"Cool," I said and then placed my bags down and heard my phone going off. I saw that it was my sister texting me asking if I was there, "Thanks for your help."

"No problem, I'll go get the rest of your bags."

"Thanks," I said and then walked further into the room and saw all the pictures from when Kat was younger.

-Katrina-

"Tyler's there," I told Sidney as we got onto the bus to head back to the hotel after winning the game against the Sabres.

"Good, where's he staying?"

"My room," I answered as Sidney sat down next to me in the back of the bus and the bus started to drive.

"Why's he staying in your room?" Sidney asked a little surprised and I shook my head.

"Sorry, my old room, I have to get use to the fact that I changed rooms," I answered and with a smirk on my face.

"Oh."

"Oh come on, don't worry, it's just Tyler."

"What about Tyler?" Tyler Kennedy asked as he sat up in his seat two rows in front of us.

"Wrong Tyler, turn around man!" Sidney yelled and I laughed and shook my head.

"Come on! I heard my name!"

"We're talking about Tyler Seguin!" I said and he smirked.

"Sure you were."

"Turn around Tyler! Ya goofball!" I laughed and then looked at Sidney to hear him sigh and rub his face.

"This is gunna be a long flight," Sidney said and I looked at him confused, "What?"

"Flight? I thought we were staying at a hotel?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Coach decided to head back home, guess a storms coming in and if we don't leave tonight, we might not be able to come in tomorrow," he said and I sighed.

"I didn't know," I said and then got my phone out, "I gotta tell Tyler that we'll see him in the morning, and tell Dana to make sure to keep an eye on the horses."

"I'm sure they'll be fine," Sidney answered and I sighed and nodded my head.

"It's November and out first sign of snow is gunna be a storm, perfect."

Sidney laughed and then nudged his shoulder against mine, "That's Pittsburgh for ya!"

"Shut up, I know!" I laughed and then laid my head on Sidney's shoulder and then was texting Tyler asking about how his arm felt.
