No Sense of Direction 045:

Chapter Forty Five

"Will you guys leave me alone! I don't want to sing!" I yelled because some of the guys were crowding around me want me to sing for them, "No! Go away!"

"Come on Kat!"

"No! I'm tired! Go away!" I laughed and then laid my head on Sidney's shoulder. I felt someone poking my cheek, and I laughed a little, "I'm gunna bite your finger if you poke me again!"

"Wow she's feisty!"

They poked my sides and I jumped and snapped my head up to see Geno standing there with a smirk on his face. I slapped his hand away when he tried to poke me again and stood up when I felt Sidney poke my side.

"STOP!" I yelled with a smirk on my face and the guys laughed, "You guys are jerks!"

"Aw, you know you don't mean that, Kat," Kris laughed and as he turned around in the seat in front of me and smirked.

We hit turbulence and I stepped back and tripped over the arm rest and fell onto my seat, my head landing in Sidney's lap. The guys laughed, and I growled and looked up to see that Sidney smirking down at me.

"Come here often," he teased and I shook my head and then stood up and looked towards the guys.

The plane started to shake and all of the guys looked at each other and I sat back in my seat. The Captain came onto the overhead and asked for everyone to take their seats because we were hitting turbulence.

"No shit, Sherlock!" I growled and buckled my seatbelt.

-Sidney-

That was a rough plane ride, and it only got worse when we got home because there was snow everywhere. We knew there was a storm coming, but never did we think that it was going to be that bad. The streets were plowed, but when the bus got to the arena and brought us to the top of the parking lot, where our cars were, we were snowed in.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me," Kat laughed as she walked out of the bus and pulled her jacket closer towards me.

It was about three in the morning, and the guys were running to each car and started to dig them out. We started with Coach's car and as I was helping to dig out Pascal's car, I felt a snowball hit my head.

"What the hell?!" I yelled and then turned to see Kat laughing next to Marc, "Really?!"

"Yup!" she laughed and then picked some more snow up and formed it into a ball and threw it at me.

I ducked and then heard it hit Geno. He cursed and I looked to see him glaring at Kat, who was just laughing with Marc.

"Oh it's on!" I yelled and then picked up some snow and threw it at Kat, who just hid behind Marc, letting him take the hit.

Marc threw one back at me, and before we knew it, we forgot about digging up the cars and started to have a snowball fight.

I watched as Kat threw a snowball at Kris who had just thrown one at her and as she took a step forward, she must have slipped on some ice, because we watched her fall to her butt, and she laid back and started to laugh.

"You all right?" I laughed as I walked over towards her and saw her nodding her head, "Good!" I smiled and then kicked some snow onto her face.

"SIDNEY!!" she squealed and then jumped up and tried to get the snow off of her, "Ah, it went down my shirt!" she whined and I laughed hard.

After a little be longer of throwing the snowballs around, we ended up going back to digging everyone out because we were tired and needed to get home. I got into my Rover and Kat got into her truck and we drove off to our houses.

-Katrina-

By the time I got home, Dana was just waking up to start her routine with the horses. She smiled towards me when I walked through the front door and then laughed when she saw that my clothes were soaked.

"What happened?"

"Snowball fight," I laughed and she smirked and nodded her head.

"Yeah, it kind of came out of nowhere," she said and I nodded my head and kicked off my shoes, "Tyler's in your old room, he's probably still sleeping."

"I'm sure, I'll see him in a few hours," I said and Dana nodded her head, "I'm gunna get some sleep."

"All right, the pups are in your room, and the horses all have their winter coats on, I didn't take them off when I put them away, it was a little cold in the stables."

"All right, I'll see you later, if I'm not up by noon, wake me up," I said and she laughed and nodded her head.

I walked up the stairs and headed towards me room, looking down the hall towards the room that Tyler was staying in to see that his door was cracked open, but his light was off. I walked into my room and saw that Baxter and Daisy were laying on my bed. When they saw me, they jumped up and then ran over towards me, I smiled and then bent down to pet them.

I placed my bag by the door and then walked out of my room and down the hall towards where Tyler was. I opened the door and peaked my head in to see that he was asleep on the bed. I walk into the room more and see a little head pop up from Tyler's back, I smiled seeing that it was Marshall and then scratched his ear.

I saw Tyler move, and he rolled over on the bed and saw me standing there, "Hey."

"Hey, sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's fine, I tried to stay up."

"You didn't have to."

"Why are you wet?" he asked as he sat up and I laughed.

"Snowball fight."

"Snow?" he asked and I nodded my head.

"Have you looked outside?" I asked and he shook his head and then stood up and walked over towards the window.

"Wow, when did that happen?"

I laughed and then shrugged my shoulders, "Not sure, we landed around three and it was here."

"Ew," Tyler said and then walked over towards me and wrapped his arms around my neck, "Glad you're here, thanks for letting me stay."

"No problem," I smiled and then wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his chest, "Go back to sleep, Ty, I'll see you later."

"All right, you need to change," he laughed and I nodded my head and then walked out of his room.

I headed back into my room and then shut the door and saw that Baxter and Daisy were back on my bed. I smiled towards them and then took my clothes off and walked over towards the attached bathroom and started the shower, I was freezing and wanted to take a bath before I fell asleep.

I soaked in the tub for a little before I got out, changed into some sweats and a hoodie, and then climbed into bed. I must have been able to fall asleep for about three hours or so when I was woken up with my phone going off. I saw that it was about ten in the morning and then saw that Uncle Dan was calling me, "Hello."

"Katrina, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you, but can you come down to the arena?"

"Sure, what's going on?"

"You're being inspected. They were suppose to come tomorrow but they just showed up today."

"Inspected? No one even told me they were supposed to come tomorrow! My office is not even ready!"

"Oh please, your office is cleaner than anyone's in this building!" he laughed and I sighed.

"I'll be down, stall them for like a half hour!" I said as I got out of bed and headed over towards my closet.

"All right."

I changed into some jeans, sneakers and a Penguins shirt and then brushed my hair and teeth and then headed out of my room and down the stairs.

"Everything all right?" Dana asked as I ran towards the front door.

"Inspection at work, gotta go!" I yelled as I was out the door, not knowing if she heard me or not.

I jumped into my truck and then sped out of my driveway, making it back to the arena. When I got there, I knew that the guys weren't going to be there, they were most likely still in bed.

I walked into the arena and ran towards my office seeing my Uncle talking to the two gentlemen that were standing there looking around.

"Ah, there she is," Uncle Dan said and the two guys turned around and I smiled towards them.

"Hi," I said as I held out my hand and they shook it.

"Sorry for the early appearance, we weren't aware that you had just gotten back tonight from a game," the one said and I nodded my head, "We'll try to get through this quickly."

"Well, I'll leave you guys to it," Uncle Dan said and then left the office.

'...It's a good thing we came back this morning and not tonight like we were planning...' I thought as I walked over towards the counter and leaned against it, "So, what can I do for you gentlemen?"
