No Sense of Direction

Chapter Fifty Seven

-Katrina-

"That's all right, I'm going to stay in here and watch the game, I'll run out if something happens," I said to Dana as I sat on the table in my office and looked up at the flat screen on the wall.

"Kat, you can't hide from him," she said and I shook my head.

"I don't want to get close to him, I don't think there'll be any injuries because Sid's not playing, so Milan has no reason to purposely hurt someone," I said and then rubbed my face.

"All right, I'm gunna head up to the suite, Vero said that Sid was going to be sitting with us," Dana said and I nodded my head, "Are you guys all right?"

"I don't know," I said and she sighed, patted my knee and then left the room, leaving me to stare up at the TV where the boys were warming up.

There was a knock on the door and it opened to show James standing there, I smiled and he walked in. Because of his concussion in the other game, he still wasn't back to playing. He looked better, but we didn't want to rush his, Sid's or Paul's come back because the team has been doing well.

"Hey," James said as he hopped up onto the table and sat next to me, "Why are you hiding in here? I thought you would be out on the rink."

"Long story," I said and then sighed.

"Is it because of Lucic?" he asked and I looked back towards him and nodded my head, "Figures."

"I thought it would be best that I stay away from him," I said and James nodded his head.

"Sid says you still have feelings for him," James said and I looked shocked at him.

"What the hell?!"

"Hey, deep down inside, we're a bunch of gossiping girls when in the locker room," he laughed and I sighed and shook my head.

"Don't get me wrong, I love Sid," I said and then sighed, "And if Milan didn't leave me these drunk voicemails, then I probably wouldn't be in this situation, but-"

"You can't help but worry about him," James said and I nodded my head, "I get it, had an ex just like that."

"I want to stay with Sid," I muttered and James wrapped his arm around my neck and leaned me against his shoulder, "I don't want to screw this up."

"You won't," he said, "Don't make the same stupid mistake that I did."

"What did you do?"

"Was in a relationship with both of them," he answered and I snorted and shook my head, "Yeah, don't do that, and don't ask for a threesome when both girls find out about one another."

"You're an idiot," I laughed and he shrugged his shoulders.

There was another knock on the door and we looked over to see that Sidney had walked in. I smiled nervously at him and then heard James slide off of the table, "Better get back up to the suite."

"See ya James."

"Bye Kat," he said and then walked passed Sidney and went out the door.

"Hi," I said nervously and rubbed my arms.

"Hi," he breathed and then walked over towards me, "Dana told me that you're hiding."

"I don't want to make a mistake," I breathed and looked at the ground, "I like you Sid, a lot! I don't want to make a mistake by talking to him, I don't even want to see him."

I felt Sidney grab my chin and push my face up, I looked him in the eyes and felt his hands cup my face. He pushed his forehead against mine, "I love you Katrina."

I smiled and placed my hands on his button up shirt, dragging my hand down his silk tie. I stared at him in the eyes, and then pressed my lips against his, wrapping my arms around his back and feeling him step in-between my legs. I felt him wince, I had to remember that his jaw was sore. I broke the kiss and brought my lips down to his neck.

My hands moved back onto his chest and then up and around his neck, undoing his tie a little bit. There was a knock at the door and Sidney groaned and pulled away, fixing his tie and looking over to see that Uncle Dan was walking in.

"Game's about to start," Uncle Dan said and I nodded my head, "Are you going to join us or hide?"

'...He sounds like he'll be disappointed if I hide...' I thought as I looked at Sidney and felt his hand on my arm, "I'm coming."

"All right then," he said and then turned around and walked out of the office.

"It's all right, Vokoun's in the net tonight, so just stay by Flower and hope that no one else gets hurt."

"All right," I said as I slid off of the table and looked up towards Sidney, "Oh, and for the record."

"Yeah," he said and I reached up and pressed my lips gently against his so that I didn't hurt his jaw.

"I love you too," I said and saw the smirk on his face as I walked out of the office, heading over towards the ice.

Marc sat on a stool in front of the door to get onto the ice. I walked up behind him and leaned against his back. He turned his head and smiled towards me, "It'll be all right, mon cher."

"I hope you're right," I said as I sighed and watched as everyone stood for the national anthem.

-Sidney-

'...Come on guys, come on guys! Don't go that way! Defense, defense, where the hell is the freakin' defense?!...'

I shook my head and rubbed my face as I watched as the Bruins skated right through our defense and made their way to Vokoun.

"Yes!" I muttered as Vokoun blocked the shot and covered the puck with his glove.

There was a crowd of Bruins and Penguins players around the net, the refs were blowing their whistles and heading over. I saw that Lucic was on the ice and he was shoving Brandon Sutter. I looked down towards where I knew that Kat was standing to see that Marc was talking to her, she was probably nervous and he was calming her down.

I looked at the clock to see that there was ten minutes left in the game, the score was two to two, it was still anyone's game. I sighed and then ran my hands through my hair and felt Vero pat my back and tell me to relax.

When the horn sounded, I groaned because we were going into overtime. Those five minutes went by quick and we found ourselves going into a shootout. I grew a little worried because the Bruins seemed to do always well in shootouts.

"Yes!" I cheered when Vokoun blocked the shot and the horn went off signaling that the Penguins had won the game.

I had jumped up and made my way out of the suite, down towards the elevator to head towards the first floor, passed the media, and towards my teammates. I patted each one of their backs as they came off of the ice and went into the locker room. Marc walked passed me and nudged his head to behind him where Kat was coming down the hallway laughing with Vokoun.

"Good job tonight, man," I said as Tomas walked away from Kat and into the locker room.

"Well, I'm happy to say that there were no injuries," Kat laughed as she walked over towards me.

"Good, and we won," I said and she nodded her head and kissed my cheek.

We walked into Kat's office and once all of the guys had showered and changed they wanted to go out to celebrate, Marc had came into the office and said that we were going to decide in the locker room.

"What is this? Some party meeting?" Kat laughed as we walked out of her office and into the hallway.

"Kat!"

We turned around and when I saw Lucic standing in the hallway dressed in jeans and a black t-shirt, I pushed Kat behind me and Marc walked her into the locker room.

"Let me talk to her!" Lucic growled and I sighed and shook my head.

"Go home Lucic, she doesn't want to talk to you," I said trying to stay calm.

"Crosby, let me talk to her!" he glared and I heard the door open and looked to see some of my teammates walking out.

"Was wondering when you would show up," I heard Kris say as he walked up and stood at my side, "Get lost."

"Kat," Lucic called and I turned my head to see that Kat was in the hallway standing next to Geno.
