No Sense of Direction

Chapter Fifty Eight

-Katrina-

Everything happened so fast, one minute I'm standing in-between Geno and Sidney, the next I'm being pulled away and lips were pressed against mine. I arms were held tightly and I was wide eyed, staring at Milan's face.

"Kat!" I heard and then felt arms around my waist, ripping me from Milan's grasps.

I thought the boys handled the situation when we were at the arena, I thought wrong.

When we were at the arena, Uncle Dan had come by and told Milan to get lost. He left, and then came back, but this time some of his teammates were behind him telling him to let it go and were dragging him away. I leaned my head against' Sidney's back and gripped his shirt.

When that was all finished, the guys chose the club that they wanted to go to, to celebrate the win. I went home and changed and then Sidney picked me up and we left. We were at the club for about a half hour, and I had just finished a beer when everything happened.

"Are you all right?" Sidney asked as he looked at my wrists, Milan had squeezed them tightly, and they hurt a little, but I'll be fine.

I nodded my head and then looked at Milan to see that he was arguing with some of the guys. I saw Zdeno Chara walk up behind Milan and placed his hand on Milan's shoulder and told him to leave. I sighed and then watched as Shawn Thorton and Zdeno walked Milan out.

For whatever reason, and I know I was stupid for doing it, but I followed them. I saw Brad Marchand standing outside the club watching as Zdeno put Milan in the car, "Marshy!"

"Kat," he said as he turned to look at me and I walked over towards him, "I'm sorry."

"I'm happy!" I said and he looked at me confused, "I'm happy in Pittsburgh, with the Penguins, with Sidney," Brad sighed and then rubbed his face, "I know that was you telling Milan not to call me, I heard your voice on the voicemail."

"That was our fault, we won a game and we went out for a drink," Brad said looked over towards the van, I didn't have the heart to look, "Looch had too much to drink, way too much."

"I noticed."

"Look Kat, he's been doing pretty good too, he hasn't even mentioned you until those phone calls. He even got himself a new girlfriend, her names Brittany," he said and I nodded my head, not understanding why I was a little hurt, I mean, I have a boyfriend, "When he called you, he wasn't thinking right, and then when he found out he called you because he drank so much he couldn't remember, he was on a war path to see you again."

"Well, he saw me, he kissed me and he saw me," I said and Brad nodded his head.

"He misses you," Zdeno said as he walked up to us, "We all do."

"I miss you guys too, but I'm happy here."

"How's Segs?" Zdeno asked and Brad nodded his head.

"He's at my place, you can head over and see him. He was suppose to go to the game, but his arm was hurting him against and I didn't want to risk any kind of germs getting into his system and causing another infection."

"We might just do that," Brad said as he looked at Zdeno, who nodded his head, "After we drop Looch off."

"Yeah."

"Take care of him," I said as I looked over towards the SUV, even though I wasn't able to see Milan through the tinted windows, I knew that he was looking at me, I could feel him, "I gotta go."

"It was good to see you again," Brad said and I smiled and nodded my head.

I hugged Brad and Zdeno and then walked back towards the club to see Sidney at the entrance, "You all right?"

"I am," I said and then took his hand.

"I'm thinking about heading out," he said and I nodded my head.

We grabbed our coats from the check in and said bye to the team. Sidney had his arm around me as we walked over towards his Rover, he sat me in the passenger seat and then walked over towards the driver's.

When we got back to my house, I pulled him around back and headed for the stables. When I saw the big black SUV in the driveway, I knew some of the guys were at my house to see Tyler.

"Whose car was that?" Sidney asked as I laced my fingers with his.

"Probably some of the guys to see Tyler, Brad told me that they wouldn't tell Milan and dropped him off at the hotel," I answered and Sidney sighed but nodded his head. I was surprised to see lights on in the stables, and when i opened the door, even more surprised to see most of the Bruins team there, "So much for quiet."

"Kat!" Nathan Horton yelled and then ran over towards me, picked me up by my waist and spun me around. I laughed as I wrapped my around his neck, "I've missed you! Tammy and Dylan too!"

"Well I've missed you all," I laughed as he put me back on the ground and looked at Sidney, "Play nice boys."

I walked into the stables and Tyler sitting on a saddle leaning against Care-Bear's stall. He smiled towards me and I stood at his side and picked up his wrapped arm.

"It's fine," he muttered and I nodded my head and ruffled his hair, "Hey, watch it!"

"What are you guys doing in here?" I laughed and then saw that the office door was opened and looked to see that Dana was sitting at the desk with headphones in her ears, probably working on some bills.

"We came to see Tyler and was wondering why he smell like a barn," Brad said and I laughed.

"Didn't believe him when he told us that you had horses," Tuukka Rash said and I smiled and walked over towards Balto's stall and ran my hand up his face.

"My daughter would love these," Zdeno said and I smiled and looked over towards him.

"How is little Elliz doing?"

"She's good, she misses you. You kept her occupied when she came with me to practices," he said and I laughed.

"Well you guys are always welcomed," I smiled.

"Even Looch?" I heard someone, probably Nathan, ask.

"Uh- I ya- um-" the guys laughed and I sighed and looked to see Sidney walking into the office to see Dana.

-Sidney-

"Hey," Dana said as I walked into the office, "What's up?"

"Why are they all here?" I asked confused and annoyed.

"Calm down, they're here to see Tyler, you guys just got home too soon."

"But she's- After what- And then- Ugh!"

"Wow, you are seriously a jealous man!" Dana laughed and I glared at her, "Relax man, they're her friends too."

"I know that! But still-"

"Everything all right in here?" I heard and looked to my side to see Kat looking tired in the doorway.

"Yeah, we're just talking about how jealous your boyfriend is," Dana said and I looked back at her surprised that she would say that.

"Sid-"

"I'm not jealous!" I told Dana, totally cutting Kat off, "There's no reason for me to be jealous! I'm not jealous!"

"Ok!" Dana said and I sighed and looked at Kat, "I'm not!"

"I didn't say that you were," she said and then sighed and shook her head, "I'm going to bed, you coming?"

"I'm just gunna head home," I said and she sighed and nodded her head.

Kat said bye to the Bruins and then walked out of the stables. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Not jealous my ass," Dana muttered as I walked out of the office and I growled.

"I'm not!"

"Whatever!" she said and I looked over towards the Bruins to see that they were either crowding around Tyler or looking at the horses.

I left the stables quietly just as Kat walked into her house through the backdoor. I sighed and then walked around the house and to my Rover. I got in and headed home, wishing this night had turned out differently.
