Through the Dark

Had Him

I bursted into the headquarters with my gun on my shoulder, ready to fire. I spotted the guards halting at my sight. Aller mourir, I thought myself like as if I was talking to them mentally. (Go die.)
I pulled the trigger and began shooting at them with skill and frustration. One by one, they collapsed onto the ground in a pool of their own blood.
I saw that they were all down, so I lowered my weapon and with a grave facial expression, I began making my way deeper into the hallway, stepping over the bodies.
Suddenly, I felt a cold, sharp object being pressed against the side of my neck. I froze in my steps, wondering what was next to me and what to do.
"Drop you weapon." I heard a gruff voice behind me say.
"In your dreams--!" I then shoved my gun behind me, intending to jam the end of it into him. But instead of feeling my gun making contact with solid, it was like as if nothing was there. "Wha?" I snapped my head to look behind my shoulder.
And sure enough, there was no one behind me.
Then out of nowhere, I felt my gun getting teared from my grasp; I heard it clatter onto the ground. "What the hell!?" I then turn around once again, this time feeling something sharp against my chest.
I gazed down, seeing a long, silver blade pressing against me, threatening to go inside me. I snapped my eyes up to see who was behind all this.
It was a man with kinda of spiky brown hair and cold eyes; he had a devilish smirk across his face. "You're coming with me," he told me.
Eh bien, au moins je peux arriver à Kari facile de cette façon, I thought to myself. (Well, at least I can get to Kari easier that way)
The hallway began to have a purple shade to it and it began twisting into another scenery, like as if the setting turned into paints and someone was mixing them.
Once everything settled down, I found myself in a room that had a long, brown table with black chairs that lined the perimeter of it; the walls were white and the carpet was gray. And on the other side of the room, sitting on the end of the table was the one and only Kari Lehtonen.
Before I was able to bash on him, I felt the guy pull me over to the blond man, until I was seated on the chair that was next to the corner of the table that was between us.
Kari looked up at his guard. "Thank you...Jonathan."
I darted my eyes at him with a stern look. "You don't need to cover up your ways--I know you're actually them." I heard the guard leave the room.
His eyes slowly made their way toward me. "Well, I should've known if you were working with Tuukka now, right?" He looked down as he began drumming his fingers on the smooth tabletop.
"How do you know?"
He snapped his eyes up at me. "I. Know. Everything."
I chuckled as I shook my head. "Not how to get into my mind--"
"How about your powers?" Kari cut in sophisticatedly. "Now those I know, do I? How are they doing? Would you mind...showing me?"
"I am not here to show off what you gave me," I replied gravely. "I'm here to give you what you deserve..." I rose up slowly to my feet. "...using what you gave me." I then letted out a roar of a wolf and lunged at him.
I felt us both crash onto the ground with me on top of him. I then unleashed my claws and grabbed his throat so that I could get a good hold of him. But before I was able lay a sharp blow on him, I felt a warm force hit me in the chest along with a flash of brightness.
I was thrown off from my feet and flew into the air; I was thrusted onto the carpeted floor on my back. With a groan, I leapt onto my feet, staring straight ahead at Kari, who was already up on his feet.
"WHY‽" I shouted at him. "WHY DID YOU BURN DOWN THEIR HOUSE?"
"Why else?" he asked me back. "To make you mine."
"I thought you wanted me dead!"
"Dead in this world. And to do that...I need you under my control." He began walking up to me. "But there's something about you that doesn't let me, not even your emotions make it unstable."
I began walking closer to him. "You'll never have me. NEVER!" I then felt another wave of anger grab ahold of me and I threw a hook punch at him.
Kari stumbled onto the end of the table that was near the door and laid onto of it.
I slammed my hand on his chest and snapped my eyes to the right, seeing that his hands were glowing, notifying me that another blast of energy was coming up.
Maintenant ou jamais. I rose my fist in the air and tried to bring it down, but I felt a hand resisting my wrist from moving. (Now or never)
I turned my head around, seeing Mitty behind me with a shocked look on her face.
"Mitty, what are you doing here?" I hissed at her.
"You're not suppose to be doing this-- Let's go." She then twisted her arm around my wrist and arm in an abnormal way and pulled me onto the ground.
"NOOO!" I yelled, wriggling around while be dragged on the ground. "He's suppose to die!" I looked up at Kari, who was sitting on the edge of the table. I noticed that he wasn't doing anything but just staring at Mitty.
Suddenly, I heard a thump before I passed through the doorway and Mitty's arm began to unravel. I then heard her let out groans from behind me. I turned over, seeing her in a ball, covering her head with her hands. I then remembered Tuukka
doing the same thing when we went to the headquarters one of the first times when his mind was getting taken over.
That's why Kari's looking at her. "Mitty, no!" I jumped over to her covered her with myself, like as if I was giving her a hug.
I then heard her let out a sharp gasp and felt her moving a bit. "Oh my goodness...," she muttered under her breath. "...I was being taken over..."
"NO!" I heard Kari shout at me. "You blocked the connection! Move outta the way or I'll make you!"
I held onto her hand as I rose to my feet, making her rise to her feet as well. "Make me." I then rushed off from the room with her behind me.
We sprinted down the hallway, knowing that we were going to be chased down by Kari's guards or Kari himself.
"Mitty, get in front of me!" I snapped at her.
I letted go of her hand and she moved up in front of me as we neared the exit.
"Your gun!" she exclaimed as she spotted my favourite weapon. She then extended her hand out to the right and snatched it from the floor. She threw it out at me and I caught it just as we spotted the doors that led to the outside.
We leapt over the bodies that someone still didn't pick up as we heard yells of the guards coming towards us.
I gazed behind my shoulder, seeing Patrick rushing up behind us with a ball of fire forming over his left hand. I then took the dare and pointed my gun at him and fired at his direction just as he launched the ball at me.
I then saw the fire roaring straight at me with speed. I widened my eyes, knowing that I should've never had looked behind me.
Suddenly, I felt Mitty's arm wrap around my torso and pull me out of the building with such speed, I saw the scenery blur around me for a moment. I was then thrown onto the dirt ground, seeing the fireball whiz above me; a little POOF! was followed after that, notifying me that it was extinguished by whatever it hit, which was most likely dirt.
I got up from the ground, but Mitty began pulling at me again, making me stumble onto the ground once again. "I can freakin' do it," I muttered to myself as I got up and ran over to the slope.
I climbed up to the top of the slope and rushed into the forest with the last of my energy. I ran until I saw Mitty standing in between the trees, waiting for me. I collapsed onto the leaf-covered ground on my back, breathing in and out heavily, trying to catch my breath; I let my gun out from my grasp.
Mitty unwrapped her arm around me and put it back into normal length. "You were lucky I got you."
"I almost had him," I grumbled, staring up at her.
"You were suppose to get Tuukka, not Kari," she told me while looming down at me.
"Oh..." I closed my eyes. "Shoot."
She placed her hands on her hips. "Don't worry, Pekka got him."
"I'm so sorry..." I lolled my head to the left while staring ahead.
"Hey, at least we now know that you're not only immune to Kari's mind powers, but can make others immune, too!"
"Yea, that's the one thing we got outta that..." I snapped my eyes up at her. "Where're the others?"
"They're at your house-- Let's go."
"Okay." I got up with my gun and began walking with Mitty back to my house.

Yeah! You should totally do it!! :) I like The Flash alt. intro ideas and I think this one would be an amazing idea. Granted you can wait until something is finished first. Haha. :)

Yay! :) Thank you, thank you! Yes, Kane does have pyrokinesis because this story is part of the series Something derived from, so yea... If you want to see it from an original view point, Kane is Cole from Something in this story ;) But since this is on the hockeyfanfic site, I just put it with the hockey players' actual names. But when this goes into Wattpad, Kane's name would be changed to Cole! :D You get? ;)
