Find My Way Back To You

Head Aches

Autumn woke up the next day with a major head ache. After she got the news that Sidney was going to be back in town, she decided on drinking to take her mind off of him. Though her sober mind was full of thoughts of him, her alcoholic thoughts were the same. She drank the two bottles of vodka she had put away for party, a few bottles of beer, and some wine coolers, as Kenzie tried to help her not think about it. Kenzie knew what Autumn was going through, because of her own experiences. Being a good friend, Kenzie helped Autumn that night, even if it meant holding her hair back as she vomited in the toilet. Smelling the alcohol seep off her lips as she wiped her mouth on her arm, Autumn cringed as she moaned at the pain. She leaned against the kitchen counter as she held her hand in her hand. She rummaged through the drawers as she pulled out a bottle of pain killers. She downed two with a glass of water as she looked up to see Kenzie watching television. Giving her a soft smile, Kenzie stood up as she walked over to her friend.

"Feel like shit, eh?" Kenzie asked as Autumn groaned, nodding.
"More like death, but then again when do I not." She said sarcastically.

Kenzie sighed, hating to see her friend in such an upset state. She grabbed her purse and a pair of sunglasses off the desk behind the front door, turning and giving them to Autumn who raised a brow.

"Come on we're getting some breakfast, my treat." Kenzie announced as Autumn nodded, leaving the clothes she had on, not being bothered to look good.

The two arrived at a near by Tim Horton's as Autumn sat in a booth away from everyone else. She put her head on the table as Kenzie laughed softly.

"What do you want?" She asked her friend.
"Bagel with cream cheese, a donut, coffee, double double." She moaned as Kenzie nodded.

Kenzie stood in line as she received a text from Steph. She hadn't talked to her in a while because of how close she was to Jon and Patrick. She couldn't lie, it hurt not being with Patrick but she couldn't let someone in that was going to be so far from her at all times. She just couldn't handle the pain again. Opening the text, she read it carefully.

Steph: Hey girl, could we catch up soon? Miss you.

Kenzie sighed softly as she bit her lip. She typed a quick reply before it was her turn in line.

Kenzie: Sure, I miss you too.

After ordering and grabbing their breakfast, Kenzie brought it to a half dead Autumn as she sat up slowly. She breathed a soft 'thank you', and began eating her food. Kenzie did the same as Autumn could sense Kenzie was a little off. She raised a brow, taking a sip of her coffee.

"What's up, you're acting weird." Autumn spoke as Kenzie looked at her, playing off that she was fine.
"What? Oh no, I'm fine." Kenzie smiled softly as Autumn rolled her eyes.
"Spit it out, kid." She spoke as Kenzie took a deep breath, sighing.
"Steph wants to meet up."
"What's wrong with that?"
"I haven't seen her since before the Patrick thing.." She breathed as Autumn nodded.
"Ah, yes. Kenz, can I ask you something?" Autumn asked as Kenzie nodded, chewing her lip.
"You never told anyone why you won't date Patrick. I want to know why you won't." She told Kenzie, chewing on her donut.

Kenzie sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. She had told Autumn of her past experience to which Autumn sighed.

"Kenz, I know what you mean, hell I'm going through it now, but Patrick seems genuine and he really looks like he likes you, if you take my word for it at all, I say give him a chance. You're have the opportunity to have something special, I wouldn't pass it up because before you know it, it could be gone." Autumn told Kenzie who registered what her friend had told her.

Smiling softly, Kenzie thanked Autumn as she sighed.

"I really do like him, I just don't know if I'm ready for anything." She told her as Autumn pointed to Kenzie's phone.
"Well I think you should text him an apology and just grow by being friends, tell him how you feel and that you aren't ready for anything." Autumn suggested.

Kenzie nodded as she looked at the time. She wanted to get home and shower to think about what to do. She stood up as she sighed, picking up their garbage.

"I'm going to go home, but I'll talk to you later, alright?" Kenzie announced as Autumn nodded, before throwing her arm out to stop her friend.

"By the way, Jake's asking Jordan to move in with him, if you're still looking for a roommate I'll be looking too if she accepts his offer." Autumn told Kenzie who smiled softly.

"That's great, yeah sure just let me know what she says, alright?" Kenzie spoke as Autumn nodded.
"Bye girl!" Kenzie chimed as Autumn gave a wave, finishing her food.

Autumn had finished her meal as she threw the remains in the trash. She made her way back to her apartment as she saw she had an incoming call from Victoria. She sighed as she was reminded of Sid coming back to Toronto. Sliding the unlock button, she answered the call as she made her way down the street.

"Autumn! The boys have their game tonight and then we're leaving for Toronto later tonight, so I'll be back by tomorrow morning. Wanna grab some drinks tomorrow night?"
"Sure, but uh.." Autumn began as V cut in again.
"Sidney won't be there, Geno knows what happen and he laid into Sid about it. He wouldn't let him come near you." Victoria assured her friend who sighed.
"Alright, meet tomorrow at Scruffy's, I'll let the girls know." Autumn spoke, running a hand through her hair.
"Sounds good, see you soon!" Victoria said before ending the call.

Autumn sent out a mass text to her friends as she then slid her phone in her pocket. As she walked down the street, she saw Jeff walking hand in hand with a brunette. She knew Jeff and Faith were still talking but she didn't know they were an item. Smiling, she ran up to the two as she called to them.

"Jeff! Fa-" She called as Jeff spun around, wide eyed while the brunette girl stood, slightly confused, holding a smile on her face.
"Hey Autumn." Jeff spoke, smiling as Autumn felt anger fill her emotions.

Not believing the same thing that had happened to her was now happening to her friend, Autumn opened her mouth to yell at Jeff before looked at the girl.

"Just give us a sec." He smiled before grabbing Autumn's arm and pulling her away from the girl.

Autumn ripped her arm from his grasp as she hissed at him.

"What the fuck is going on?" She spoke as he sighed, running a hand through his hair, looking over at the brunette who was on her phone, typing.

"Autumn, please don't say anything." He pleaded as her jaw dropped.

Autumn began to speak as Jeff put his hand on her mouth, not letting her speak.

"Faith knows." He confessed as Autumn pressed her brows together.

"What are you talking about? Faith knows you're playing games with her when you have a girlfriend?" She hissed at him again as he sighed, waving his hands in a 'no' gesture.

"Look, ask Faith, but I need to go, don't tell anyone what she tells you." He told her before turning and extending his hand out to the brunette who took his hand in hers.

Autumn watched the two walk down the street as she shook her head confused.

"What the hell is going on?" She asked herself as she stood there, confused.
