All of me

Reilly quickly sits up and looks over at Emma, who was on the other side of the bed shaking from side to side.

'Emma wake up! Please! It's a dream, Emma!' as he shook her.

She finally snapped out of it. She was all sweaty and breathing heavily.

'It was a dream?' Looking around confused.

'Yes it was all a dream babe. Come here.' as he pulls her into big hug.

'It was a dream...Thank God', as she moves her hair away from her face. She then hugged Reilly tighter, not wanting to let go.

'Want to talk about it?' Reilly said, knowing exactly what it was about without her having to tell him.

She let go of him, took a deep breath, and began looking down on fingers that rested on her lap.

'It was about what happened today at the pharmacy’ slight pause. Reilly looked at her and waited for her to continue.

‘...and you were there and...and...shots were fired...and there was blood everywhere' as she put her hands over her face to cover the tears that were flowing like waterfalls down her face.

'Shh. It's okay babe, you're safe now. Nothing is going to happen to you, I promise' as he held her again.

This time even tighter, making sure she knew that she was safe. She did not say anything, just nodded her head slightly. They stood like that for a few moments.

‘Wait right here’ He gently lets go of her, as he makes his way towards the bathroom to get some tissues.

Emma followed him. She washed her face, blew her nose, and just took a breather. Reilly could see how startled she was, her eyes were red and swollen, face puffy with red patches spread all over her face from her crying. He didn't know what to do to make her feel better, it killed him seeing her like this.

'Let’s go to bed Ems, you need to get some rest' she nodded as Reilly pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.

When they got into bed, Reilly sat with his back leaning on the backboard and Emma fell asleep right on top of him, head rested his chest. He hadn't been sleeping at all that night, always looking at Emma, making sure she was okay or if she needed him. To her, his presence was all that mattered.

The next morning Emma woke up safely in Reilly arms, who had fallen asleep sitting up on the backboard.

Poor guy, he must be so exhausted and he has practice today Emma thought.

Words couldn’t describe how much she appreciated having him there last night.

It was around 10 am, she knew he usually had practice around 11:30 am on Saturdays.

'Babe' Emma whispered slowly.

He quickly got up 'Huh? What's wrong? Are you ok?!' Looking around, almost jumping out of the bed.

'Everything is fine’ she said, giving him a gentle smile. She continued,

‘But it's 10 and you have practice in an hour or so, so you have to wake up' Emma said as she rubbed his chest.

'Oh crap, yeah I do. I'll call out and tell them I can't make it' as he searched for this phone on the bed.

What? No, he can’t miss practice! I’m okay, really. Emma thought.

'No, please don’t do that.’

‘I want to’ as he picks up his phone.

‘Are you sure? I don't mind, really, I'll be fine' failing miserably to convince him she was okay.

'Nope, I'm calling out' making a silly face, as he stands up.

'Okay but if you get in trouble don't blame me...'

'Yeah yeah...' As he bend down and slowly kissed her lips then walked out of the room.

A few moments later, he walks back into the room.

'Done!’

‘That fast?’

‘Uh huh’ he whispered as he climbed back to bed.

She gives him a long and delicate kiss.

‘Thank you’ she whispered. He smiled.

‘So! You're stuck with me the whole day. Do you want to do anything in particular?'

'Aw man! I'm stuck with you for the whole day?!' she teased him.

‘Why you little-’ as began tickling her.

‘No! Please stop tickling me! Reilly!’ as she tried catching her breathe.

He stopped and just looked at her.

‘You’ve got this whole day planned out, don’t you?’

‘Maybe...’ he says as he winks.

‘Oh boy!’

‘What is that suppose to mean? I’m pretty awesome at this, don’t deny it! Remember our first date? I would say I did a pretty decent job planning that.’

‘No, I don’t recall our first date...Hmm. Yeah no, drawing a blank.’

The look on his face was priceless. She loved every minute of it.

‘Okay then.’ he tries to get out of the bed. Emma pulls him back down before he can fully get out.

She climbs on top of him and grabs his face.

‘Now I think I’m starting to remember. It went something like this...and this’ as she tries to reenact their first kiss.

‘I don’t remember it being that good. It was adequate’ he said as he tried to keep a straight face.

She slaps his chest.

‘HA! You’re hilarious!’ as she gets up and leaves the bed.

Reilly quickly gets up and grabs her from behind and kissing her neck.

‘I love you, you know that?’ he says as he spins her around to face him.

‘Yeah, yeah’ she says as she leans over and gives him a kiss.

Hey guys! Thanks for your patience! I just came back from my trip in Europe! I had a blast! I couldn't post because I didn't have my laptop with me. Now that I'm back, I should be posting more often!
