All of me

'Morning beautiful' he says as I slowly open my eyes, automatically puts a smile on my face.

'Morning babe' I say as he plants a soft kiss my forehead. I turn around, put my arms around him and dig my head in his chest.

'How are you feeling?'

'I'm okay, I can't really tell to be honest.'

I didn't want to lie but I was not okay. I couldn't really feel it the night before because of the meds I was put on and the ice. Well since those wore off and it was not comfortable.

'Want me to have a look?'

I slowly nod. I wanted to see what it looked like.

Reilly slowly sits on the end of the bed takes off the wrapped bandage and reveals my knee. It was not pleasant. It was different shades of deep red, blue and purple.

I took a deep breath.

'It is not as swollen as yesterday so that's good news.'

He didn't even touch it and tears were coming out of my eyes. My whole body was shaking as I grabbed his hands begging him not to get any closer.

'I won't do anything, I promise' I nod as I let go of his hands. You can tell it killed him seeing me like this.

'Let me get an ice pack okay?' He quickly gets up and heads for the kitchen.

I take a few deep breathes. This hurt like a mother-

Reilly comes back as he crushes the ice pack between his hands. He keeps it for a few minutes then he wraps my leg with the bandage. Halfway he puts the ice pack, and finishes wrapping.

The cold from the ice felt so soothing.

'Thank you Reilly'

'You're welcome' he said as he sits behind me against the back board of my bed. I rest my back on his chest, he pulls me closer to him.

'After the swelling goes down, you have to put some heat on it so it helps with the flexibility. I'll grab a few heating pads for you tomorrow. Okay?'

'Yes Doctor.' I nod my head as I wraps his arms tighter around me.

'I'm sorry that I can't stay with you all day. I have a morning skate in an hour or so and a game tonight.'

'No it's okay babe! Don't worry about it! You've done more than enough. Really. I just wish I could come to your game.'

'I know you do. You'll just have to come to more games next week! Okay?' He smiles

'Deal!' As I turn my head sideways and kiss him. He chuckles as he pulls me into a tighter wrap and digs his head on my neck.

Half and hour goes by and there is a knock on the door. Adam sticks his head in the room.

'Morning lovebirds. I'm sorry Emma but I have to steal him from you. We have practice.' Adam says.

I start laughing.

'He is all yours!' As Reilly gets out of bed and gives me a kiss.

'We'll talk later!' He says.

'Good luck!' As they both leave the room.

A few hours later:

'Emma! Go to Channel 7!' As Katie jumps on my bed.

Police are searching for a suspect accused of sexually

assaulting a young woman earlier this week.

The suspect is described by authorities as a white male,

around 5'8 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds in his mid 40s.

If anyone has any information or has seen this man, you are

told to go to your nearest Police Station.

Thank You.'

'The sketch kind of looks like him.' Katie says as they put up the sketch on the screen.

'I just hope they catch him fast because I can't...' As tears roll down my face.

'They will, you'll see!' As she pulls me into a hug.

'Thank you Katie, for everything. I would have gone crazy if you weren't here.'

'Emma, stop thanking me. I'll always be there for you, you know that. We've been through everything together and we'll get through this. Now you're going to make me cry!' As she laughs and her eyes water.

'Okay, okay. I'm sorry!' I say as I give her a hug.

We had gone to the police station earlier that day and told them everything. They were going to notify me when, or if they get him into custody.

Ring Ring.

I search all over the couch to find my phone.

'Hey babe' he says.

'Hey you!'

'How are you feeling?'

'I'm better, thanks for asking!'

He chuckles, 'Good. Well I just wanted to check up on you before the game started. I'll call you when I get out.'

'Aw! I'm glad you did. Good luck tonight!'

'Thanks, Emma?'

'Yeah?'

'I love you.'

'Love you more'

'I doubt that' he chuckles.

'Haha Bye Reilly.'

'Bye'

The Bruins ended up losing the game that night. It was a tough loss, they looked tired from their back to back games but who could blame them. You couldn't help hearing the commentators comments on:

Reilly Smith's goal drought, 7 games and counting.

It's all people would talk about so I didn't want to bring it up. Granted it was only the last few games but it sure got people attention. I just hoped it didn't go to his head.

During the post game interviews in the locker room, the most important question that every reporter was trying up know was:

'Reilly, you haven't scored in some games now, 7 to be exact, does that worry you at all?'

Really? Is that really necessary? I was getting agitated. I couldn't imagine what Reilly must be feeling.

'Uh no, I'm not really worried that much about it. I tend to not think about it while I'm on the ice. It'll throw off my game. The way I see it is that the chances are there, they are just not going into the net. So that's what I need to focus on.'

'Great game Reilly, thank you.'

'Thanks' and he leaves his seat in the locker room and away from the cameras.

I shut off the TV and just lay down on my bed.

Ring. Ring.

'Hey' He was clearly upset.

'Hey babe. Great game tonight.'

'Yeah.'

'Are you going to be okay?' I ask

'I will be' as he exhales.

'Do you want to talk about it?' I scared to ask even though I knew what he was going to say.

'Not really.'

'Okay that's fine. Just get some rest and I'll see you tomorrow, okay?'

'Okay. Goodnight.'

'Night' I slowly say as I hang up the phone.
