The Road Back to Your Heart

When Gabi got back to the hotel, she could tell something was off. She looked around the lobby and her eyes narrowed on a table of four men, all of which she knew and three of which she was going to kill. Gabi quickly walked over to the table with a mission.

"Jordan, Marc, Jared Staal, what are you doing?" Gabi asked glaring at the brothers who had surrounded Nathan.

Jordan looked up at her sheepishly, " Just talking to your friend here."

"Go," She said in a firm voice pointing to the elevator. The three brothers all looked at each other and decided it was better not to fight her and headed upstairs without a word.

Gabi took a deep breath and sat down, "I am only going to say this one more time, I want you to leave. I DO NOT love you. At one point I thought I did but what I really doing was lying to myself. There has only ever been one man that I have loved in my life, outside of my father, and I have loved him since I was 10. Sure, Eric hurt me but no relationship is perfect. Nothing you do or say will change that facts. I love Eric and not you. It will always be that way, Nate. Nothing will ever change how I feel."

"Nikki," Nathan started with a smile. "I don't care what you say, I know what I feel."

She sighed, "You need to listen. You and me was just a way for me to pretend that Eric and I never existed. I never loved you. It all was a way of forgetting the pain that I was in. You were a surrogate for Eric. You were in the right place at the right time. Nothing more. I don't want to be with you. I never will."

"I don't believe that our relationship was fake," He said shaking his head. "I love you Nikki."

Gabi stood up, "But I don't love you and that's it. You can love me until the cows come home but that will never change how I feel about you. I want you to check out and go home. Find a girl that will love you back because I can tell you now that girl will never be me."

Before he could respond, Gabi headed upstairs and saw that the brothers were waiting for her.

"I don't care what you reason was but I told you to stay out of my relationships along time ago. I get it, you don't want Eric hurt but today we agreed to start over as friends. I need the three of you to back off. Now, Marc can you please go down and make sure Nathan checks out and leaves this time. I am done running around in circles with him," Gabi said unlocking her door. "I will see yall later."

As soon as she was in her room, she crashed onto the bed with a sigh. It had been a long day and it was only 2 in the afternoon. Gabi curled up and yawned and as she closed her eyes to take a nap the last thought that crossed her mind was one of Eric and the many possiblities that laid ahead for them.
