A Favor for a Friend

Chapter 8

I got a hotel room not too far from Consol. Sidney agreed not to harass me until atleast the next day. I was going to meet them for dinner though. Look who's over packing helped now! Guess I will get to wear that dress after all.

After getting something to eat, watching tv for a bit and then going for a swim I had to get ready.

I absolutely hated getting dressed up. Hated it with a passion. My mom made me go to a school semi formal and she had to do all my hair and makeup because I wouldn't. I still whined and complained the whole time. The dance was awful too. This made me getting ready now hell.

I showered as quick as a girl possibly could, so about fifteen or twenty minutes. Drying my hair was a new task. That would be a battle. Sometimes I swear my hair is alive and trying to eat me.

Drying my hair took probably forty five minutes. My hair was still a little dry from the chlorine in the pool. I would have to deal with it though.

It took an hour and a half more to style my hair, put my makeup on and put my clothes on. I took forever to get ready. No shame.

Sidney picked me up outside the hotel. "You know we are going to be late right?" He looked at hi watch.

"Oops." I shrugged and got in the car.

He laughed a little and started driving to where ever we were going to eat. It didn't take too long, it would have been the fact that I was busy looking out the window at the city.

"It must be amazing to live here. There's so much to do." I said as we crossed over a bridge.

"It really is great. Which is why you should move here." He said and elbowed my side.

"Sid...." I sighed, "I can't. I've got school."

"There plenty of places around here." He frowned.

"I know there are but none that I could get into right now." I said..

"You know I am not giving up right?" He glanced over at me and them back at the road.

"I know you aren't."

We got to the restaurant and walked inside. The entire team cheered when we approached the table.

"You better be cheering for your damn captain." I said taking an empty seat.

"She's a witch. She used her magic." Flower said from across the table.

"She obviously hyptonotized him." Brandon Sutter laughed.

"No, no. But really.... I think we all know what happened." Nealer said looking between all his teammates.

"My little Lili is growing up." Sid cooed.

"You mean-? NO! That didn't happen!" I finally realizing what they meant.

Olli was silent at the other end of the table, he was just as embarrassed as I was.

"If that's not what happened, because something did." Neal said leaning on the table looking over at me.

"Ask him. I told Sid what happened already. If we are lying then the stories won't match up." I rolled my eyes.

Everyone's stares shifted from me to Olli, let's just say he was a perfect example of a deer in headlights.

He cleared his throat, "She just told me to stop over analyzing everything."

"And?" James waited for an answer that would satisfy the team.

"Thats it." He said.

I leaned forward with my palms on the table. "See? Told you." I said, well ok, sassed James.

Our argument was cut short when the waiter came over and took our orders.

"This is not over." James said to me after everyone had pretty much started a new conversation.

"What ever you say Neal." I sat back in my seat.
