Come Closer

I needed help on finding James’ Christmas gift so I brought Giselle with me.

“What do you get a rich hockey player that has everything he could possibly need?”

“Get him some kind of sexy gag gift.” She said laughing, obviously being sarcastic.

“James and I can’t have sex for at least 2 weeks.”

“You’re kidding?” she stopped walking in the middle of the mall and stared at me.

“The doctor said that we can’t because it might fuck something up because all of these hormones I’m taking.”

“How is that going by the way?” she asked.

“Well I had a ultrasound and took blood work yesterday, and got my first shot of these hormones.” I said. “Those shots are going to be the end of me, they hurt real bad.”

“Do they?” she said. “Do you have to go to the fertility clinic every day?”

“No, the nurse showed me and James how to do it, but I’m going to get James to do it because I’m too scared.” I said. “Did you get Brandon anything? Are you still having Christmas together?”

“We had a long talk, and he agreed to do couples counselling so I moved back in.” she said as we walked into Nordstrom. “I took boudoir photos a while ago so I put them into a nice book so that’s his gift.”

“Why didn’t I think of that?” that’s a brilliant idea.

“I’m good friends with the lady that does them, I’m sure she can squeeze you in before Christmas, she might not get your pictures printed before Christmas though.”

“Oh well, he can wait. I’m dealing with all this pain to give him a child the least he can do is wait for his present.”

“True that sister.”

I just got James a really nice expensive dress shirt so I have something to give him on Christmas day.

It was James’ last home game before Christmas; he was home when I got there after shopping. I left the shirt in my car until James left for the game.

“Meghan, guess what time it is.” James said coming down the stairs holding a needle and a vial of my hormones.

“Uh, fuck.” I said to him. James went and sat on the couch and I but my bag down and went over to him. “How do you want to do this?” I asked.

“Whichever is more comfortable for you?”

“Let’s try this standing up.” I went and stood in front of him. He put the needle onto the vial.

“Ready?”

“No” I told him laughing a little.

“Just relax babe.” He kissed my stomach. “Deep breath.”

“Ouch.” I said.

“Honey, I haven’t put in yet.” He said looking up at me. “Let’s try this again.”

“Fine.”

I felt the needle on my skin, then I felt the needle go into through the skin and into my body and 30 seconds later the needle came out and he held a cotton ball where the needle was to stop the little blood that was showing.

“There, how was that?” he kissed my stomach and threw the, needle, vile and the cotton ball in to the garbage.

“Horrible, hurts like a bitch, I am going to have to do this 12 more times.”

“It will be all worth it.” He came and kissed me and went upstairs to change for the game.

“Jesus.” I lifted my shirt and looked at the small hole where the needle was.

James left for the game about 15 minutes later and I got a text from Giselle.

Giselle – What are you doing tonight?
Meghan – Just going to stay home and watch the game, you?
Giselle – I talked to my photographer friend and if you want she can take your pictures tonight.
Meghan – You’re kidding. Want to come?
Giselle – Be at your house in 10.

“What the fuck do I wear.” I said to myself. I grabbed 3 different lingerie outfits and went down stairs.

We got to the studio and the photographer was amazing, she took great photos.

We were looking at one of the photos and I saw the one scar on my neck from the accident.

“That one needs to go.” I told them.

“Why, you look hot.” Taylor the photographer said.

“It has my scar in it, looks scary.” I said to the both of them.

“James won’t even notice, it’s all good.” Giselle told me looking at the photo closer. “Your tits look good though.”

We got lost in time and the next thing I know it’s 10 and the game ended 2 hours ago, I looked at my phone and James texted me 3 times.

James – Babe where are you?
James – You ok?
James – I’m worried now.

I texted him back and told him I was with Giselle and I’ll be home right away.

When I got home all the lights were out but I could hear the TV in the bedroom on. I walked upstairs and saw that he fell asleep. I went in and quickly washed my face and put a tank top on and some pyjama shorts, shut off the TV and slowly got into bed.

“Your finally home.” he said rolling over to face me.

“I was with Giselle and we went out for a while, it’s all good babe.”

“I’m just happy your home.”

It was Christmas eve, James and I were going over to Giselle and Brandon’s house for supper since their families weren’t coming down either.

“Supper was amazing.” I said to Giselle helping her in the kitchen. “Is everything ok, you seem a little off and you didn’t have any wine with supper.”

“Meghan…” she pulled me aside farther away from the boys who were playing video games on the couch. “I missed my period this month, so I went to the drug store and bought a pregnancy test…it was positive.”
