Elizabeth: Hey, what's up?
Jon: Nothing much, apartment hunting, lease is up at the end of this week. :(

My fingers danced around the keys of my iPhone. I didn't even think, I just hit call, unable to think about the big decision I was about to make.

"Jon?" I squeaked into the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey, Liz, what's up . Sorry babe you gotta make this quick I'm about to go into the car to meet a realtor."
"Move in with me." I gasped. I could hear Jon smile through the phone.

It was Friday evening when we eventually started unpacking Jon's things. Most of his stuff was still in Oklahoma where is family still was except for his hockey stuff, clothes, and a little bit of furniture he put into a storage unit.

We stayed up until about 2 in the morning unpacking. I had a boyfriend, a boyfriend that has moved in with me. A guy who has been my boyfriend for only a week and a half. I've only know him for about 2 months. And here he was, unpacking his stuff into the second closet in the bedroom.

The night was pretty boring, Kona was fast asleep on my, I mean our, bed and I was so exhausted I almost collapsed.

Jon came over from behind while I was unpacking one of his boxes of paperwork and wrapped his arms around my waist. He kissed my cheek and nuzzled his head into my neck.

"Let's go to bed, you seem exhausted and I have practice early tomorrow." Jon whispered and grabbed my hand leading me towards the bedroom while turning off the lights in the tv area.
I quickly changed into a tank top and some Ohio State flannels. He did the same wearing no shirt and, much to my dismay, some Michigan flannels.

"You're gonna have to burn those if you want to stay here." I laughed while snuggling under the covers next to him."
"Over my dead body." He whispered and wrapped his arms around me falling fast asleep. The falling asleep thing didn't happen until later for me.

This seemed easy, too easy. We both decided that I would pay the rent every month and the electric as long as he paid for groceries and the heating/air conditioning. I even got his named signed to the lease- too easy.

Should I have really let Jon live here? I asked myself staring at complete darkness and felt Kona wrap himself under my arms. I was right, I didn't even know his birthday, his favorite color, favorite food, what he likes, what he listens to.

But really, what could go wrong? Jon was amazing, smart, sexy, funny. He's like a buffet- everything in one place. I relaxed my body and fell asleep to the sound of Kona purring like a cat and the sweet sound of Jon's quiet snores.

When I get nervous I bake. It's weird I know. Not just because I like eating hundreds of calories in cookies and brownies and muffins, it just keeps my mind off of things. Today was the day Jill's test came back- negative or positive. She said she would call me- good or bad.

I lost my sister to cancer. Maria, she was 5 years older than me, and I was 15 when she was 20. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. The doctors said she was going to make it, the chemo was working and they were almost positive that she would make a full recovery. Things suddenly took a turn for the worse, and there was no hope left. She died March 2nd of that year.

My family consisted of Maria, then my brother James, and then me. When Maria died my family completely shut down. We didn't eat, clean, or even move for a good couple of days. Everything seemed frozen. James met a girl in college, Sophie, and she snapped him out of it. James went on to marry Sophie, and then had a daughter named Charlotte two years ago.

Maria and I were so close, she was the cool sister that would sober me up before my parents get home, take me to R movies, and the mall. I loved her, she was my best friend.

No one should have to go through what I went through, especially not Jill. Even though I just met her, she seems so happy and full of life just like Maria. It would be horrible for her tests to come back positive.

As I rolled more dough for croissants, my phone started ringing across the room. Jills name popped up on the screen. Please be negative, please be negative. I thought to myself.
