----Meg’s POV----

Last night we had played our fifth game of the season away at University of Minnesota. We had won 3-2 in OT. I was currently riding on an at-least-one-goal-per-game streak and it felt great.
It had taken a while to get back from last night’s game and I ended up sleeping really late only to be woken by my phone screaming the lyrics to LMFAO’s “I’m sexy and I know it.” I smiled to myself remembering when my best friend had set that as her ringtone and made me promise that she was the only one who could ever have that ringtone and that I could only change it if I had permission from her to do so. I picked up the phone and pushed the answer button.

“Rosie! I have missed you so much its crazy!” I said excitedly into the receiver.

“Meg, Babe, your voice. Oh. My. God. I have missed you way too much!” Rosie – my best friend since first grade – squealed in to my ear.

“So how are you? Dating anyone? How’s college? Tell me everything!”

“Well, The American Academy of Art is amazing I’m learning so much! Chicago is a blast! You need to get your beautiful ass out here and visit me! Im single but maybe if you come out here we can tear up the town and meet some guys. Chicago’s filled to the brim with hotties!”

Somehow through all my laughter at my overzealous friend I managed a reply, “Hey you of all people should know that if I could I would definitely come and visit you! Maybe you’re the one that should be visiting me!”

“Damn, girl! Way to crack that whip! Well I have tickets for when you play against Chicago University in two weeks so I’ll see you then! Haha!”

At first I didn’t comprehend what she had said then it hit me and I started screaming, jumping up and down, and totally freaking out. Thank god the guys can’t see me now. “OMG ROSIE WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST START OFF WITH THAT!!!!!?????”

“Haha well I’m happy you’re glad. But I have to go to class now so ill text you at some point and I’ll def see you in two weeks! Love Ya Girly!”

“OMG I CAN’T WAIT! Have fun with your edu-ma-cation! Love!”

I hung up the phone and got ready with a huge grin plastered on my face. I put on a long blue skirt and a white quarter sleeve top that showed off my flat stomach and paired it with some sandals and a long gold necklace. I threw my hair up into a sloppy bun, threw on a pair of sunglasses, some mascara and lip gloss, grabbed my laptop and left my dorm.
I went and sat outside at one of the tables and started writing my English research paper.
I was studying to be an English and education major. Although I wanted to be able to play hockey after college I didn’t want to play in the women’s league and there was no hope for me in the NHL so I just had to accept these as my last years and then hopefully I would be able to coach at the school I would be teaching at.
I had been sitting outside for about two hours and was just finishing up my paper when my phone rang again. This time it was my normal ringtone (The Wanted’s song All Time Low). I looked down at my caller ID and saw that it was my mom.

“Hey mom what’s up?” all I heard was my mom talking as if distant and my two sisters also talking in the background. There was a lot of crackling noise and my mom just continued talking as if I wasn’t on the phone. I laughed and hung up, rolling my eyes. My mom tended to accidently “butt dial” people all the time without realizing it.
I turned back to my computer and turned it off finally realizing how late it was getting. As I started back to my dorm I debated on what to have for dinner and as if on cue my stomach growled.

Hey, so i know that this chapter was supposed to be up like a week ago and im really sorry ive just beeen so busy since i got back from vacation. Also i'm really sorry that its kind of just a lame filler chapter but im working on the next chapter that should hopefully be up really soon! i hope you like it!
