Just Say Yes

While everyone was talking to everyone at Jon and Addison place for the welcoming home of Raylan and Shailene. Tonight was the night for Patrick. He made Kennedy to wear an outfit but she just went with it.
“So why are you making me wear this I mean I love the outfit but why?"
“Well it’s a big deal for us being the god parents for the twins. Don’t worry Addison helped me pick out your outfit. She said it’s your godmother gift.” Kennedy
“Just remember that it’s going to snow and you have a game tomorrow against the Stars."
“I know honey.” When they got closer to Jon and Addison and Patrick took a different way.
“Pat where are you going?"
“I have to show you something before we get to Jon and Addison’s. Don’t worry we are close to them once I show you something.” Patrick grabbed Kennedy’s hand. When they reach to where Patrick needed to go Kennedy was still confused of where they are at.
“Come on don’t be worry at all.” Patrick parked the car and open Kennedy’s door. Walking close to a townhouse. Kennedy though it was the most beautiful thing that she’s ever seen.
“So why are we here Patrick?"
“I know how much that you want to be more closer to Addison and the twins. So I got this for us.” Kennedy was trying to not cry because this means a lot for Kennedy.
“This home is beautiful Patrick!”
“And it’s ours when we sign the papers after the game tomorrow."

Walking into Jon and Addison’s place Kennedy couldn’t wait to tell everyone the good news. Jon was holding Raylan when he open the door.
“Hey guys come on in.” Kennedy reached out to wanted to hold Raylan.
“Just letting you know when I walk in I want to hold on of the twins.” Kennedy holding Raylan very close to her chest.
“I’ll make note of that.” Jon laughed.
“Pat do you want to wait to tell the news?” Jon eye’s were wide and looked down to see before he speaks. Then he is eyes back on to Patrick.
“Let’s go in the living room and see if everyone is here to tell them.” The group went into the living and Patrick was right that everyone was there.
“Everyone we have some great news.” Patrick stand next to Kennedy.
“We are moving just a couple of blocks away from Jon and Addison. We sign the paper tomorrow.” Everyone was so happy that they are taking the next step with their life together. Addison got off the couch with Sharpie holding Shailene in his arms.
“I’m going to have my best friends living close to me I’m so happy for you guys.” The party was going on and everyone was having a good time. Patrick was going to grab something to drink when Jon pulled him into the side.
“Pat you scared the shit out of me. When are you going to tell her?"
“Soon I just need to wait for a phone call to come and then it will be already for me to do so."
Kennedy was talking to Jon’s mom. Jon's mom and Addison's mom were standing for a couple of more weeks to help Jon and Addison with the twins since hockey season was still going.
“I can’t wait for you to have kids Kennedy. You and Patrick are going to be great parents and have beautiful kids.”
“I hope so to and I know that Patrick’s mom will help us. I mean what you two are doing for them is amazing."
“We are so happy to help our grandchildren and the only time we could see them is during the offseason when Jon isn’t playing hockey.” Then Jon came over to the group.
“Have you seen Pat?” Kennedy was looking at where the last time she spotted Patrick and he wasn’t talking to Duncan anymore.
“No, I haven’t seen Patrick."
“Ok, well I saw him talking to Duncan then he got a phone call and now I can’t find him. “ Jon and Kennedy went everywhere in the house to find him and he wasn’t anywhere. It was getting Kennedy a little worried that no one can’t find Patrick anywhere. When she got a text from from Patrick and it was a picture.
“If your looking for me here I am. Come and get me, then you will find the reasons why I’m here.” It was the picture of him doing a selfie in front of the bean at the millennium park. Kennedy walked over to Jon and showed him the picture.
“Do you have any clue what he’s doing?"
“Nope.”
“I don’t have a car to go pick him up thou."
“I can take you there.” Jon wanted to help Kennedy.
“Thank you. I really want to know why he’s doing there.” When Jon and Kennedy were heading down to millennium park it was starting to snow. Kennedy was thinking of why Patrick would just leave the party without telling anyone. Jon parked the car they headed to the bean. Then music was starting to play and Kennedy knew the song. It’s her favorite song of her life “Just Say Yes” By Snow Patrol. She turn around and sees that Jon was gone, she didn’t care she wanted to know why this song was playing and that there was no one around at the millennium park. Kennedy was walking near the bean all she wanted to do was dance to her song.
“Patrick ?! Where are you?” When Kennedy turn the corner of the bean there was Patrick, just standing there like it was a normal day.
“Patrick why are we here?"
“Kennedy, I want to tell you a something. When you were there for your farther he told me something that I have been thinking. Did he told you what he told me?” Kennedy shook her head.
“Well he told me, Patrick I wanted to tell you, thank you for loving my daughter. My daughter means everything to me no matter what. Ever since she was in my arms the day she was born I told her that I will do anything to make her happy till she finds the man to replace me. I think your the right man for her Patrick. I want to do that for our child if it’s a boy or a girl. I want them to be happy no matter what. Even if it’s not hockey I will be fine with that. Then I told him I hope so to but I think at this moment she doesn’t want to replace you with anything in her dreams. I wanted to tell you that when you die I will be there for her no matter what. I know that Kennedy wants to be in her life for a long time. She wants you to be there when I marry her and see your first grandchild.” There were tears coming from Kennedy’s eyes and Patrick knew that he need to hurry up before it all comes down to tears.
“Then he asks me.Do you want to marry my daughter?”
“Without a question I do want to marry your daughter.” Patrick got down on his one knee and pulled out the box.
“There were so many ideas to do this, but this song is amazing for this and for you. Kennedy will you marry me?"
“Y….Yes Patrick I want to marry you.” Patrick puts the ring on her finger.
“Come on I bet your cold.” He wrapped Kennedy with his jacket and headed to the car. Kennedy couldn’t say anything else because she couldn’t believe of the day that she had. Moving closer to Jon and Addison. Then Patrick asking her to marry him.
