Forever and Always

Morgan waltzed into the Gilmore house, Taylor Swift's Blank Space blasting from the house's main sound system. He followed the origin of the music to the sliding door leading to the patio and pool. "Hey Pucky where are my friends?" The Gilmore's Goldendoodle laid down waiting for Morgan to pet him. "I think their out there..." Morgan got up off his knees, petted Puck one last time and walked outside. He found the unopened Chinese food waiting on the patio table. "Guys, I am here can we eat?!" He shouted from the patio to the pool where Nick Bjudstad, Aaron and Madeline were currently trying to sauce pucks across it. "We didn't hear you even come outside." Madeline walked over and started opening up all the different containers. "Thank god, because we were going to start eating without you." Aaron smirked, digging into his boneless spare ribs. "Good to see you Rielly." Nick glanced in his direction. Morgan let out his hand to fist bump. "Same to you Nick it's been a while, thanks for taking care of Aaron out in Florida." He nodded as they all sat down to family dinner. The three of them stealing looks at him, as they all just ate quietly. "So what happened?" Madeline picked at her steamed vegetables. "She found out about us, came home threw the ring at my head and locked me out of our bedroom. Pretty much told me to leave because I wasn't sleeping there tonight." Madeline nodded. "So we have The O.C ready to be played, enormous amounts of junk food, diet pepsi, and popcorn in the pantry and blankets, tons of blankets. So we are just going to watch four of our friends Ryan, Marisa, Seth, and Summer tonight and forget about everything. Alright?" Morgan, Aaron and Nick nodded. "Good, we're here for you Morgs you're stuck with us." He smirked this time. "I love you guys." Aaron brought him in for a man hug. "What are best friends for?"

An hour later the four NHL players sat on Madeline's family's expensive but comfy couch, Ryan just turned to Marisa and said the famous and iconic line when Marisa asked who he was "Whoever you want to be." Fifteen minutes into the pilot and Aaron was already starting to cry, he loved Ryan and Marisa together. His arms were wrapped around Madeline, their limbs entangled together as she fed him a Twizzler. "Ew couples." Nick replied to the Twizzler incident they laughed. "Want me to feed you a Twizzler Nicky?" He nodded and they laughed harder. "Here." She grabbed one and threw it in his face. "Thanks ya beaut." Aaron could feel Morgan wasn't watching their favorite show, he was thinking about Lauren. "You ok M?" He whispered. Morgan looked at him and shook his head. "Come on." Aaron untangled himself from Madeline and the two walked into the kitchen. "Talk." Aaron grabbed the popcorn from the pantry and threw it into the Microwave. "I don't know man, maybe you guys are right. Maybe she's not the one for me maybe I shouldn't get married, I saw a side of her tonight I never want to see again." Aaron glanced over to Madeline. He was fucking lucky, he was going to marry this girl one day, not a doubt in his mind. She was out of his league, he needed to hold onto her for life. "If you are doubting this Morgan then you need to think about what you are about to do, everyone will tell you I told you so if you get married then divorced at twenty two. If you think the relationship can't go any further, end it now." Morgan nodded. "I love her so much though." Aaron looked at him and saw he was hurting. "As much as you loved Mads." He can't believe that slipped. "Maybe more." Aaron sighed in relief. "Marry the girl if you love her, deal with the ice princess flaws." They walked back into the living room with Popcorn in hand. Madeline went into the position she was in with him before and she grabbed some popcorn. "Everything good?" He nodded. "Perfect." She smiled. "Thanks guys, I needed this." They all threw milk duds at Morgan, he catched two, one fell on the floor. "What are friends for?" The three said in unison.

"I love you." Morgan texted Lauren. "The ice princess wants her ring back." He smirked. "Does the Ice Princess love me?" She answered two seconds later. "Yes, come home tomorrow morning though? I am about to crash." He quickly texted her back. "Okay, sweet dreams baby girl love you." He put his phone back into his pocket. The gang just finished the first disc of the first season of the O.C. "How about a midnight swim guys?" Morgan asked. "Fuck yes." Aaron replied. "Duh!" Madeline smirked. "What are friends for if we didn't go for a midnight dipper." Nick replied. "You are such a Minnessotiiaaan." Aaron said in his mock Minnesota accent that he had perfected living with Nick. "Deal with it Canuck." Morgan threw the blankets off him. "Let's do it guys, we're only young once." This summer was going to be epic.
