Sam rolled up his sleeves as he grabbed his books from his locker. He moved some things around before he closed it. He started typing on his phone. Audrey had missed the morning and she texted him, asking him to come and meet him at her locker before they went to third. He looked up and spotted Nathan walking over to him.

"Hey." Nathan nodded.

Sam returned the gesture. "What's up?"

"I need to talk to you about Audrey." Nathan tucked his hands into his pockets. Sam's brows furrowed. "We hung out Saturday night."

"When she was drunk?" Sam growled.

"She called me crying and told me she needed a friend so I went over." Nathan explained. Sam stood up straight. "And she did nothing but cry about how much she cares about you. She was so happy when you told her you loved her."

Sam's face softened. "You were there when she called me?"

"I know it's beyond you but I think you need to try and stay." Nathan frowned. "Not only for yourself, or for the team. You need to say for Aud. She needs you more than you think."

Nathan walked off. Sam watched him in confusion. He spotted Audrey at her locker. He took a deep breath and walked over. She looked over at him. A small smile appeared on her face. She was still obviously upset. She even looked it.

Never had he seen his girlfriend wear her hair up at school, but here she was. Along with one of his sweaters and a pair of tights. Her smile fell once she saw him look her over. He pulled her into a hug. She held him tightly while his lips pressed to the top of her head.

"I'll try to find a way to say. I promise you." He whispered to her.

She nodded. "I love you too, Sam." She said, looking up at him.

He smiled down at her, pecking her lips. He rushed home afterwards. He was about to ask to stay with Max. He had already talked to his brother and he was fine with it. Sure, Max lived forty five minutes away, but that was closer than Vancouver. Plus, Sam had a car. His dad was sitting in the kitchen when he walked in. His mom was preparing dinner.

"Can I talk to you about something?" Sam asked, warning his dad's attention.

"What's up, Sam?" Paul turned to him, as well as Theresa.

"I want to stay with Max." He exhaled. "I have friends here, and the team is going to be great again, and I don't want to lose Audrey."

Theresa looked down at the vegetables she was chopping right away. Paul looked back to the newspaper he was reading. He sighed, folding it over and setting it down. Sam took a deep breath. Paul turned his body completely towards Sam.

"I understand you have friends here, but you have friends in Vancouver too," Paul began. "And you know you'll make any team out there,"

"What about Audrey?" Sam spat. "I don't have her or anyone that will even compare to her out there."

"I know you care about her. We like her just as much as you do,"

"I don't like her, I love her. I'm in love with her." Sam clarified.

Paul looked at Theresa, she was frowning. "I don't think you and Max alone is a good idea. I'm sorry, Hun." She spoke.

Sam nodded. He nodded as he walked away. He climbed the stairs slowly. He understood where his mom was coming from. The brothers alone was probably a terrible idea. He growled, closing his bedroom door and dropping back onto his bed. He pulled out his phone and told Audrey the news.

Audrey read Sam's message and felt her heart drop. She was so hopeful that he'd be able to stay with Max. She set down her phone, setting off for the living room. Dustin and Nicole were cuddling on the couch. Mackenzie was asleep with her head in her dad's lap. The boys were sprawled around, playing with their toys.

"Can Sam move in with us?" Audrey blurted, gaining everyone's attention.

Dustin paused the TV before he said a word. "Pardon?"

"His parents won't let him stay with his brother and they're moving back to Vancouver." Audrey explained, sitting near her mom's feet. "I want him here and you want him for the team. The boys and Kenz love him and he's a good guy. Plus, he's always here as he is. Please."

Nicole looked up at her husband. He shrugged. Nicole looked back at Audrey and nodded with a smile. Audrey pounced, kissing her cheek and then her dad's. She ran up to let Sam know.

"Hey." He answered his phone, sounding upset.

"You're staying." She smiled.

"What? Audrey, I already told you what my p,"

"But you don't know what my parents said." She rolled her eyes. "They said you can stay with us."

"Are you serious?" Sam shot up. "Babe, that's insane."

"Should I bring my parents over to talk to yours?" She asked with a giant smile.

"Yes, I'll go talk to them now." He breathed. "Aud, thank you for this."

"Anything for you, Sammy." She sang before she hung up.

She skipped downstairs. She explained to her parents before Dustin growled and stood up. The two set off for the Reinharts. Dustin knocked on their door. Audrey smiled from behind him as the door opened. Paul and Dustin shook hands before they walked into the kitchen. Audrey ran over to Sam, kissing him. He closed the door and guided her into the kitchen as well.

"He'll have his own room, since I'm not okay with he and Audrey sharing a bed." Dustin lied.

Paul and Theresa looked at each other and nodded. "We don't let them either." Paul lied in return.

Sam and Audrey held back their laughter. Audrey pinched his butt causing his body to jerk. The parents looked at their kids. Audrey smiled, wrapping her arms around his waist. He grabbed her hands and squeezed them.

"I think we can make this work." Paul grinned.

Sam's face lit up. "Really, dad?"

Paul nodded. "This is where you've made your home. I won't take that away from you." He explained. "Or you." He smirked at Audrey.

"But if you start skipping school, you're back with us." Theresa warned.

"Dad gets all the boys attendance records sent to him every week to see if they're allowed to play." Audrey smiled, stepping in front of Sam. "So no skipping for Samson."

Sam grabbed her sides. The parents continued to talk while the two teens went into the living room. Sam dropped onto the couch, pulling her onto his lap. She wrapped an arm around his neck while he held her waist. He just smiled up at her.

"Sam, do you wanna take some of your stuff over now?" Paul asked, coming into the living room.

"Yeah, sure." Sam nodded.

Audrey stood up, and Sam followed. She walked off to find her dad. Paul turned to walk back into the kitchen. Sam took a deep breath.

"Hey, dad," He called. Paul looked at him. "Thank you for letting me stay. I know you and mom are gonna miss me, but this place means a lot to me. And it means a lot to me that you're letting me do this."

Paul smiled before grabbing his shoulder. "You're old enough to know what you want and if what you want is to stay here, your mom and I are behind you completely. Just be smart." He told him.

Sam nodded before he hugged his dad. He went into the kitchen and walked straight over to Theresa. She furrowed her brows at him. He took the utensils out of her hands before he hugged her. She smiled.

"Thank you." He said as he pulled away.

"My baby's growing up faster than I wanted him to." She teased. "I'm glad you found a girl that makes you happy. You need someone that cares about you as much as she does now that we aren't around."

He smiled. "I really love her, mom." He confessed.

Theresa smile grew. "And she doesn't love you? She convinced her dad to let you move in with them so you didn't have to leave your friends or team."

"Or her. I don't want to leave her either." He added.

"But you can leave your poor old mother." She gasped.

"Sorry, ma. I found a new favourite girl." He shrugged.

She shrugged in return. "It's okay, I'm glad. Audrey is a wonderful girl."

Sam nodded, smiling at his mom. She winked at him and went back to preparing dinner. He walked upstairs, grabbing two boxes. His door opened and Audrey stepped in. She gave him a smile.

"Do you need some help?" She offered, walking over to the boxes.

"Some of it might be too heavy, babe." He warned.

She rolled her eyes, lifting the heaviest box. "Shut up, Sam."

She shook her head as she walked out of the room. He laughed before he followed her. They got outside and started walking around the corner. Sam jogged to catch up with her. They were both ecstatic. He watched her as they walked. They got Audrey's and walked inside.

The kids bombarded Sam with questions. Audrey gave them a dirty look as she walked up to the room that was now his. She sat down the box on the bed and opened it. Trophies. She shook her head at her boyfriend.

"Hey," He said as he walked in, setting his boxes on the bed as well. "Are you shaking your head at my trophies?"

"No, I'm shaking my head at how much of a loser you are." She corrected him. "You have trophies from when you were five."

"They're important to me." He defended. "But not as important to me as you are."

She rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Sam.

"Audrey," He yelled. She glared at him. "I love you."

Her face softened. "I love you too." She said, trying to keep herself from getting flushed.

"So, Sam," Dustin's voice boomed as he walked into the room. "I know I told your parents you would have your own room, which you do, but feel free to sleep in Audrey's bed with her. You're both old enough. Just don't tell your parents."

Audrey laughed as Sam wrapped his arm around her. "I won't." He smirked.

Dustin nodded. "Well, welcome to your new home. Not like you aren't always here anyways." He winked, walking out of the room before he stopped. "But if you are staying in Audrey's bed, be respectful of the other people in the house in case you decide to d,"

"Dad!" Audrey shrieked. "Oh my god, are you kidding me?"

Dustin shrugged. "Just laying down the rules." He said before he walked away.

She shook her head before stepping in front of Sam. "So, are you ready to spend all your time with me?" She sang, wrapping her arms around him.

"Can't think of anyone else I'd want to spend time with." He smiled before he kissed her.

"I'm sorry for being a complete mess the last couple of days. I just thought I was going to lose you and I wasn't ready for that." She admitted, walking over to a box to unpack it

"I wasn't ready to lose you either, don't worry." He said and walked over to her. "You're my mess and I'm perfectly okay with it."
