"Sam, wake up!" Audrey whined, shaking her boyfriend.

"No." He groaned.

"Please!" She frowned, sitting on him. "All the kids wanna open their gifts and I'm really excited for you to see what I bought you."

"It's like 7 a.m, Audrey." He sighed, covering his face with his pillow.

"It's 8 a.m, actually." She corrected. He didn't budge. "Please, Sammy."

He growled, rolling onto his back. Audrey still sat on top of him. She smiled, leaning forward to kiss him. He kissed her back. She stood up, pulling him up. He let out another groan. He stood and she smiled, pulling him into her. She wrapped his arms around her. He pouted at her.

"I'm tired." He sighed.

"You're gonna lose it when you see what I got you." She told him, wrapping her arms around him. "You're gonna love it, though."

"I'll love anything you get me because I love you." He said then kissed her.

"I love you too, now let's go." She pulled his arm.

The pair walked downstairs. The three boys cheered when they saw Sam. He smiled at everyone. He sat in the lazy boy. The kids piled on top of him. Audrey looked over and laughed. He frowned at her. She walked over and brushed his hair down. She walked back to the tree.

"Mack, want your gift from Sammy and I?" She asked as she lifted a giant present.

Mackenzie hopped of Sam and ran over. She started ripping the paper off. Audrey leaned against Sam's legs. Mackenzie get to the box. It was a giant dollhouse. It was taller than her. She looked over at her sister and her sister's boyfriend with her jaw dropped. She ran over, hopping onto Audrey's lap. She kissed her before she climbed over her to kiss Sam.

"Wait until you see what mommy and daddy got you." Nicole smiled, grabbing two other boxes. "Come open these, baby."

Mackenzie opened the rest of her gifts. All she got were American Girl dolls and things relating to them. They were her absolute favourite toy. She was off in her own world. The boys got nothing but Nerf guns, hockey things, and superhero toys. They went off as well. Audrey smiled and stood up from Sam's lap. She grabbed all the gifts she had gotten for her mom and carried them over. Dustin grabbed his gifts for her as well.

"This is a lot of shit just for me." Nicole chuckled.

"You deserve it, mama." Audrey smiled as she sat next to her mom.

Sam came over and sat on the floor in front of Audrey. "She's been shopping for you since March."

Once Dustin and Nicole opened all their presents and gave Audrey and Sam their presents, they went off to make breakfast. Sam and Audrey were left alone in the living room. She stood from the couch, walking over to the tree. She picked up his gift and tossed it to him. It was a tiny box. He groaned as he stood up. He walked over to her and leaned down to grab the last present under the tree. He placed it in her hands.

"What is it?" She smiled as she looked at it.

"A surprise." He smirked, walking back to the couch. "Open yours first."

So Audrey did. Sam bought her a really nice Michael Kors bag, with a matching wallet. She smiled at him, leaning forward to give him a kiss. It was exactly what she had asked him for. He was too sweet. But she knew her gift was going to be the best thing he's ever gotten.

"Mom, dad, it's time." Audrey called as Sam started looking at his box.

Nicole and Dustin came running in. The kids came trailing in behind them. Sam was confused. He unwrapped his gift and he had a plain box. He looked up at Audrey. She was recording him with the widest smile. He was nervous. He started tearing open the box. He furrowed his brows. There were tickets in it. Plane tickets? He pulled them out slowly.

"Why are we flying to Barcelona?" He questioned.

She grinned as she took something from her mom's hand. "So we can see Barca play Levante in February." She said, showing him the tickets.

His jaw dropped. "You got me tickets to see Barcelona play?" He sat up straight, staring at the tickets. "You don't even like soccer!"

"Yeah but I like you." She chuckled.

He looked up at her. "Put the camera down so I can kiss you." He demanded.

She laughed, ending her recording. She set her phone down and Sam grabbed her face, kissing her lips. She smiled into the kiss, holding his waist. He pulled her over to him, hugging her. She hugged him back, smiling wide. He rocked her a bit as he let out a long breath.

"Thank you so much, Aud." He whispered.

"Anything for you." She kissed his cheek.

"Let's eat then get washed up for dinner." Nicole smiled, squeezing Audrey's knee.

Sam and Audrey got ready for dinner. Audrey's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were coming down, and Griffin and Max were as well. Since Paul and Theresa were so far away, they figured the boys going to spend Christmas with the family that had welcomed Sam with open arms was just as good. They had the table set and a kids table for anyone under twelve. Audrey was between Sam and an empty chair. There were three empty chairs. She looked at her parents suspiciously.

"Who else is coming?" She crossed her arms.

"We are." Brenton Demko smiled.

He was standing in the kitchen doorway with his wife, Danielle, on his arm, and Thatcher hovering behind them. His head was hung. He didn't want to be there anymore than Audrey and Sam wanted him there. Audrey slowly looked at Sam. He smiled, squeezing her knee.

"Hey!" Nicole greeted, kissing Brenton's cheek. "Glad you could make it." She smiled, hugging Danielle.

"Wouldn't miss a chance to drink wine with you." Danielle chuckled and extended a bottle of wine to Nicole.

The two women went off talking. Brenton sat in one of the spots of the two together across the table. Audrey saw Thatcher slowly sit next to her. She looked over at him. He gave her a nervous smile. She nodded at him. She just wanted to eat and get through this day.

"Why is everyone still sitting at the table?" Nicole asked, crossing her arms. "Dinner won't be ready for a while. If you're under twelve, upstairs to the playroom. If you're under drinking age, basement."

There were only three people between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Audrey, Sam, and Thatcher. Griffin and Max had betrayed them and decided to stay upstairs and drink. Audrey was cuddled into Sam's side. They were watching Elf. Elf was on forty times a day. Audrey was sick of it. She sat up. Both guys looked at her.

"I'm gonna go get a drink. Anyone want one?" She stood.

Both of the guys shook their heads. She nodded, walking over to the stairs. She hopped up. She heard laughter and Griffin going on about something. He was a regular comedian. She walked into the dining room with a smile. Her mom looked over. She smiled at her daughter.

"Uh, mom, can I talk to your for a second?" She bit her lip.

Nicole took a sip from her wine glass. She set it down and excused herself from the table. Audrey pulled her into the back area. Dustin came following behind the pair. They crossed their arms when they noticed her glaring at them.

"Why would you invite Thatcher to dinner?" She yelled. They went to argue. "I get he's a family friend but it is not fair to me or Sam that you sent us to hang out with him downstairs alone. It's weird. He's done a lot of shit to try to damage our relationship."

"Enough, Audrey. Grow up." Nicole snapped. "It is Christmas, forget about this shit for one day."

Nicole stormed off. Audrey rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. Dustin sighed, shaking his head. He kissed her cheek before going into the dining room. She let out a growl before she walked back down the stairs. One night. She could forget it for one night. She sighed, sending a text to the group message about her day.

Kylee read it as she walked behind Eric to his front door. He squeezed her hand. She looked up at him. He was smiling at her. She took a deep breath, resting her head on his shoulder. He kissed her forehead. They stopped on his front porch. She stood in front of him with a frown.

"I'm really fucking nervous." She confessed. "Your family is so high class, top of the chain and I'm just, not. I'm not good enough for you."

He rolled his eyes. "You're more than good enough. Yeah, we have money, but we aren't assholes. You're going to fit right in." He smiled, kissing her.

They walked inside. There was laughter and old 90s music playing. She furrowed her brows as he handed her coat to one of their butlers. He started having a full conversation with the butler. They laughed and joked before the butler was off. Eric looked to Kylee and smiled.

"Come on." He took her hand, pulling her into the living room.

She laughed when they walked in. His family was in the middle of a game of beer pong. They all cheered when they saw Eric. He waved to them as he pulled Kylee over. She suddenly wasn't as nervous.
