"What are we doing for your birthday?" Danielle asked, scooping her ice cream into her mouth.

Audrey shrugged. "I don't know. My parents are taking Sam and I for dinner and I was thinking just a movie night with the girls after." She explained.

"Lame." Dani scoffed.

"What else is there to do? I don't want to plan a party and then have to clean it up afterwards." Audrey pointed out.

"We can do whatever you want. I was just kidding around." Danielle told her, standing up. "I'll be right back."

Audrey nodded. Danielle walked around Audrey slowly. She looked back to make sure Audrey's eyes were on the TV before she quietly crept upstairs. Audrey's bedroom door was open and Sam was laying in her bed, staring at the TV. Dani walked in and shut the door behind her. Sam furrowed his brows at her.

"What are you doing and why do you have a bowl?" He questioned.

"Look we don't have much time to talk so shut off your stupid soccer game for a minute." Dani demanded.

He did as told. "What's going on?"

"Audrey is planning some lame ass celebration for her birthday, and as the most important person in her life, the second most important person needs to help them plan an amazing party." She told him. He nodded. "So, you're helping me plan her a giant surprise party."

"I'm the second most important?" He interrupted.

"Ovaries before brovaries." She stated. He laughed. "So are you in or what?"

"Of course I'm in. But when are we gonna have time to plan?" He asked.

"Change my name in your phone to your brother's name or something and I'll make yours my sister's for now so it doesn't look suspicious. We can get Nicole in on it as well so she can take Audrey out when we need to bring shit in. We have exactly ten days to plan this." Dani sighed. "We have to act quickly."

"Okay. Name is changed, ideas are flowing. Why do you have a bowl?" He turned to her.

"FOCUS, SAMSON!" She exclaimed before walking out of the room.

A few days passed, and Nicole agreed to take Audrey shopping with her four other kids so Sam and Dani had time to organize and plan around the house. Dustin sat in the living room, listening to them. They were currently arguing about what kind of cake to get. Both insisted they knew what Audrey liked better, but Dustin knew best. He walked into the kitchen laughing.

"She doesn't want chocolate or vanilla." He chuckled.

"We've watched her eat both." Dani furrowed her brows.

"She likes those, yes, but you'll ruin it for her if you don't get an ice cream cake." He explained.

"Oh my god, I've seen her cry about ice cream cake before. I didn't even think!" Sam growled.

"Terrible boyfriend." Dani shook her head.

"Shut up." He spat back.

The days narrowed down and most of the planning was finished. They just had to plan for the actual day of. Sam couldn't help much with that, he was going for dinner with Audrey. He was gonna walk on the surprise just like she was. He let Danielle figure that out. She asked Nicole to leave a key for the girls to get in. She agreed.

The girls had everything decorated and set up. Sam had texted saying they were heading home now. Nicole, Dustin, and the four kids had taken a separate car and left earlier than Sam and Audrey. Dustin bribed Jake to start acting up in the restaurant so they could use that as an excuse to get out earlier. The parents dropped the kids off at their grandparents, parked the car around the corner, and were hiding with everyone else. Sam and Audrey pulled up and everyone held their breath.

"Hey." Audrey called, stopping Sam at the front door. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you for tonight."

"What do you mean? It's your birthday!" He smiled, rubbing her sides.

"Thank you for every night. You make everything so much better." She explained, her hands resting on his face. "I really love you. So much."

He pulled her closer. "I love you too." He breathed, knowing everyone was waiting inside. "But if don't get inside right now, I'm gonna piss my pants." He started unlocking the door.

She smiled, rubbing his back. "You know we're home alone for a little bit, right?" She whispered into his ear.

If only she knew.

He winked, opening the door for her. She walked in and flicked on the light. She turned back to Sam and he spun her back around. Everyone popped out and screamed 'Surprise!' at Audrey. She screamed and elbowed Sam in the gut. He was doubled over in no time. Everyone laughed but he wasn't. Audrey frowned, rubbing his back.

"Go. I'll be okay." He said through the pain.

She leaned down and kissed his face before she walked off. Everyone was hugging her and wishing her a happy birthday. She got a drink and the night went on from there. Around ten thirty, they made her sit in the chair they had decorated for her. She sat down and a tiara was placed on her side. Her face lit up when Sam appeared with a cake and started singing 'happy birthday'. She covered her face as she started to cry.

"Happy birthday, baby." He mumbled as he held the cake in front of her.

She blew out her candles. Everyone cheered. Sam handed the cake off to Dustin. He froze. Anger washed over his face. His eyes looked up at Sam. Sam had a blank face. He was terrified.

"A Canadian flag?" Dustin spat. "You're on my shit list, Reinhart."

Everyone laughed as Dustin walked into the kitchen. Sam stood at Audrey's side everyone was chatting amongst her. She looked up at him and smiled. He was talking with people.

"What did you wish for, Aud?" Kaylynn asked with a smile.

Audrey smirked. "This."

She grabbed Sam by the scruff of his shirt. She pulled him down to her level before she kissed him. Everyone cheered. He held her face as they kissed. Audrey could not believe how lucky she was. She thanked him when they broke apart. She frowned when she started looking around. She hadn't seen Danielle much at all. She stood from her chair and walked off to find her. She spotted her when she was handed a piece of cake.

"Danielle!" She hollered.

Dani looked over with a big smile. "Hey!"

Audrey just hugged her. "Thank you. I love this, I love you." She told her as they hugged.

"Only the best for you." Dani sang.
