The Chicago Blackhawks are partying a few nights after winning the cup. They are still lit up with excitement. At one of the party spots, some kind of musical gig happening in the city, a few of the Blackhawks are hanging out.

“Burning Love” starts playing in the background by the DJ and not the live band during the most recent break (so the live band can rest a little and refuel), as Jonathan Toews spots Patrick Kane acting bizarrely on the stage. The blond is nervously rubbing his arm. He is wearing a Chicago Cubs blue ball cap on his head and a checkered buttoned down shirt with a folded collar.

Jonathan, who is wearing his black dress shirt, shakes his head and runs up on the stage. “Hey, Kaner, wait, Kaner?” He swats at his friend, attempting to grab him and halt his forward progress, but he gets only air.

Patrick walks forward a few more steps, before he slows down and spins to him. He is shocked and taken aback. Jonathan is smiling. The younger man touches his hair and blushes massively. “Jonny?”

“Where are you going?”

“Wait, no, I can’t...I can’t...I have to go!”

Jonny attempts to grab his hand and hold it. “Kaner, no, don’t go!”

“I have to--I have to go, Jonny!” Patrick insists. “I--”

“Kaner?” Jonathan questions, losing his smile. He watches Patrick take off running, heading to the exit and slipping out of the building.

(This makes me think of - again - Kaner being a princess (what is wrong with me?) who has to leave the ball early, because his beauty will wear off and Jonny the prince will be forced to see who he really is.)

Patrick Kane hops onto the ice and instantly spots Jonathan Toews, his best friend in the whole wide world, trapped in the penalty box. Like literally trapped. The thing is, Patrick knows exactly what happened, but why did Chris Pronger, captain of the Philadelphia Flyers entrap Jonny in the box. He is sitting on the bench with his head down.

“Jonny, what are you--?”

Jonathan snaps his head up and looks at Patrick. He gets to his feet and leans forward, as Patrick skates over casually. “Kaner, you have to get help! Pronger, he locked me in here, so I can’t get out. You’ve got to get me out Kaner.”

“I’ll help you out Jonny, please don’t panic,” Patrick states, looking at him with a worried expression.

“Get Sharpie!! I can’t protect you, he can. Get him!”

“What-what are you--? Why did Pronger lock you in--” Horror creeps into his mien.

“Kaner, hurry! Just go get Sharpie!” Jonathan is anxious and demanding now. His is screaming and panicked.

“I’m going to rip that little blondie limb from limb!” Pronger snarls from nearby.

“Jonny!! What’s--?” Patrick begins to panic now.

“KANER, NO!! RUN!!”

Pronger skates up, traps Patrick against the boards and knocks the stick from his hand. Jonathan bangs on the glass, trying to get out and help. He is screaming at Patrick and Pronger.

“Well, well, well, seems you are without your precious “partner-in-crime”...heh-heh. Excellent!” the Flyer sneers.

“No! Let me go! JONNY!!”

Pronger drags Patrick, who is kicking and screaming, over towards center ice.

“KANER!!”

Patrick Kane comes over to his friend Tyler Seguin. “Hey Segs, can you do me a huge favor. When Jonny finishes, I know he’ll come say something to me. I want you to set the mood okay?”

“Uh, okay?”

“Thanks, bud.”

“Any reason why?”

“No reason,” Patrick winks at him. “Just hum ‘Tale As Old As Time’.”

“From Beauty and the Beast?”

“Yup.”

“Okay...if you say so. Not sure I’ll be any good or on pitch--”

“Doesn’t need to be, just needs to get the point across.”

Tyler dips his head then. Patrick skates to stand at the side, an inch or so from the gathered players and Tyler. He watches Jonathan finish up his Accuracy Shooting. Then the brunette comes over to him, sure enough, grinning. Patrick smiles. He sends Tyler a signal.

Tyler begins to hum, backed up by the others behind them:

“Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly.”

“Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Patrick and Jonathan.”

“Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise.”

“Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east.”

“Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Patrick and Jonathan.”

Sorry about all the Kazer Stuff, but I hope it is all worth while and good. But one of my favorite things to do is get a picture or .gif and get a little story off of it. So, I found some Kazer .gifs and I was inspired by Disney music, and...well...here you go...
