Prove Me Wrong.

'Kieran's POV'

After work the next day I changed into game day attire and met my parents and Kilian for dinner before going to the game. I told my parents all about my embarrassing dinner with the Benn's, but explained that by some miracle they were very understanding. My parents were very excited to be meeting Jamie and Tyler's families tonight and I hoped it would go well. We even had a box for tonight's game because of our large gathering of the 3 three families. My dad however still wanted to watch warmups from the lower bowl and I did too, it was kind of a ritual for me to be there while my boys warmed up. After an initial meeting with the Benn family as well as the Seguin's just my dad and I headed down to the glass.

As we stood watching the players warm up I heard two girls behind me, "That has to be her, look at her hair!" one said and the other agreed, "Yeah, that's her. At least she's kinda pretty for a ginger. Ugh, God she is so tall. Oh look there's Seguin!" I rolled my eyes, I had begun being recognized now that my social media was open and Stars TV had shown Jamie and I at the together at the Christmas skate. My dad leaned over to me, "Does that bother you?" I shrugged, "Nah, he's mine not theirs."

I turned back to get a look at the girls, a brunette and a bleach blonde Barbie doll with orange skin both dressed in Tyler's jersey and leggings. When I looked to them they quickly looked away, and when I turned back around Jamie was in front of me. He waved to my dad and I, I smiled and winked at him as he tossed a puck over the glass, I picked it up shaking my head. "What a dork," I said softly.

As we turned to leave and walk up the stairs, I noticed the two girls again. I stopped holding out the puck to the bleach blonde, "Here," she looked at me like I was nuts, "I'm tall not deaf, just so you girls know." The brunettes jaw dropped, "Ugh, oh god, sorry. I didn't-" I smiled at her, "It's fine, nothing I haven't heard before, enjoy the game." I caught up to my dad, "Way to control the anger Kier," he said with a laugh referring to the anger I normally had on the volleyball court. I hugged my dad's waist as we walked, "She's just lucky we're not on a court." Minutes later my phone flashed with a twitter notification from an account I didn’t follow,

"Thanks to @jamiebenn14's girlfriend @IrishKierBomb for the puck! #GoStars #TheyreSoCute pic.twitter.com"

Blondie was trying suck up after being a bitch to me, I laughed but favorited it anyway. At least she said we were cute, which of course we are!

In the box Jamie and I's parents talked and I sat with Jamie's sister Jennifer for a while, we were a lot alike and really hit it off. She made sure I knew how much Jamie cared for me, not that I need reassurance because I definitely knew and the feeling was mutual. When I wasn't talking to Jen my brother was, watching them flirt was awkward even if it was just innocent. I spent a lot of the game with the Seguin sisters, I had always wanted a little sister and after meeting Tyler's in July I had adopted them as my own. I wished they lived closer and so did Tyler, but Canada was their home. When the game ended with a shutout by the Stars everyone in the box cheered, I couldn’t wait to see Jamie. In the family lounge our group took up half the room, eventually Jordie and Jamie came in followed by Tyler. A lot of pictures were taken and posted on social media my phone blowing up with tags.

Since Jamie had gotten home from the roadtrip earlier this week we hadn't really been alone, I really missed being with him. We stood listening to everyone in the group talking, not really paying attention to the conversation Jamie's arms wrapped around my body. I was just enjoying his touch when he whispered to me, "I've missed you." I smiled up at him, kissing him on the cheek. Eventually everyone separated vowing to see each other either tomorrow or the next day for Christmas. Jamie walked me to my car after giving his keys to his dad, and I finally got to kiss my man for real for the first time in days.

Jamie had my body pressed against the cold Maroon metal of my Jeep his hands tightly gripping my waist as I wound my fingers in his hair, kissing that man was addicting. It was going a little too far, when I pulled away breathless I leaned my forehead against Jamie's "You know you could just come home with me," I rolled my eyes, "Not while your parents are in the house Jamie." He kissed me one last time as I opened the door to my Jeep, "You're no fun Kier," I stuck my tongue out at him, "Whatever, have fun snuggling your pillow. I'll see you tomorrow baby." He smiled as he shut my door, good Lord I loved that man, I was just sure if I was capable of saying it.
