Prove Me Wrong.

'Kieran's POV'

Everything about Christmas in my family is celebrated on Christmas day, so that left all of Christmas Eve for me to celebrate with Jamie, and Tyler too. Having professional athletes as friends and more than friends, is VERY difficult. What on earth do you buy a man who has enough money to literally buy anything!? Good question, right?

I had lunch at Tyler's so we could exchange presents before going to Jamie's. For Tyler I settled on a watch holder because that boy has an obsession and just throws them on his dresser, not very wise when they're worth thousands of dollars. As well as a Texas A&M shirt because as an Aggie I must make everyone else a fan too. I got Cassidy and Candace PINK gift sets and Tyler's mom a barn wood picture frame, the same one I got for Jamie's mom. They all loved their gifts and I was glad, when it was my turn Tyler sat a black Louis Vuitton box in front of me as I sat on the couch and I almost passed out.

"You did not?!" I asked in a very excited voice. His mom laughed, "Couldn't you have at least wrapped it Tyler?" He shrugged, "Not my thing, now open it." I pulled the top off the box and inside was a medium sized LV shoulder bag, it was gorgeous. "Whoa, Ty this is WAY too much." I stuttered out, sure we were great friends but that bag had to of cost at least a grand. He sat down next to me, "You're my best friend Kieran, you deserve it. And It's from Marshall too for taking such good care of him." I hugged him tightly, "You're my best friend too Ty, thank you." Candace whined from the other end of the couch, "I want one!" Tyler laughed at his baby sister, "Maybe if you were nicer too me." I moved over to sit between Candace and Cassidy who was playing on her new iPad, "Can I at least touch it?" She was just as dorky as Tyler, "Go for it," I laughed as Marshall trotted over to us. We took a group picture with Marshall and I sent it out on Twitter.

After spending the afternoon with the Seguin's I packed my things for my parent's as I was heading there after leaving Jamie's. I quickly showered and got dressed in a red and navy blue plaid dress with navy tights and brown knee high boots. I used a waver to add texture to my hair and did my makeup a little heavier than usual. I put the watch Jamie got me for my birthday on my wrist and my new purse over my shoulder. I then gathered my gifts and overnight bag before heading over to Jamie's house.

He met me outside to help carry in the presents but not before stealing a few kisses. Once inside I hung around in the kitchen with Jamie's mom, Jess, and Jennifer while dinner finished cooking. Every few minutes one of the men would come in to ask if it was done yet. When it was Jamie's turn to ask I was on my way to the bathroom when we got caught under the mistletoe that he had purposely hung in the doorway last week. I tried to escape, but he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me back, "Not so fast red, you have to kiss me" I huffed and his mom laughed, "Oh, fine." He smiled at me and cupped the side of my face kissing me gently, it was quick but not quick enough as Jen had snapped a picture. "You guys are just so cute!" she exclaimed, I blushed and made my way to the bathroom.

After having dinner prepared by Jamie's mom, which was amazing, way better than anything Jamie or I could have made, (lord help him after his parents leave) we gathered in the living room to open presents. Thankfully Jamie was right and his parents loved their gifts, a barn wood picture frame and cookbooks for his mom and Blue Jays grill set and Texas A&M shirt for his dad. I'm really into spreading Aggie pride this year! Jen especially loved her Kors items, she said she had loved my clutch and was glad I had gotten her the same.

When I sat the boxes in front of Jamie I made sure to tell him that he was very difficult to shop for, he smiled at me and pulled me down into his lap "I told you all I wanted was you babe, you didn’t have to buy me anything." I shrugged, "I don't listen very well." quoting what he had told me on my birthday. Slowly he opened his gifts which consisted of: a Seahawks snapback and blanket, all black Vans, 2 A&M shirts, a new beanie because his was gross, pizza socks like the cookie ones he always makes fun of, and a set of glasses one with a mustache and the other with red lips. His smile grew each present he opened, the pizza socks made everyone laugh hysterically if only they knew the significance. When he was done opening he leaned his head around mine and kissed my cheek, "I love it all babe, thank you." I turned around to look at him, "You're welcome Jame, but no more making fun of my socks." He laughed as he moved me off his lap and stood, "No promises."

Jamie left the living room and returned quickly with a bag over his shoulder, as he got closer I could see what it was. I shot him a look that said "You have got to be kidding me." He dropped the bag in front of me, a huge Louis Vuitton duffel bag like the ones he and Tyler use when they travel on short trips "Jamie Benn, please tell me that's not mine." He spun the luggage tag around, to reveal my initials KMO, "Looks like it." he said with a cocky grin. I shook my head, "You and Tyler went shopping together didn't you?" I asked and he shrugged, "Maybe, now open it up." I pulled the huge bag over, it was kind of heavy I was skeptical at what he was hiding inside. After unzipping it I found what some would call heaven, and by some I mean every girl in the world. Inside was a pair of Lulu Lemon leggings that had been sold out for months, a pair of Seahawks leggings, Nike free runs that I had been trying to find in stores around Dallas for weeks, a brightly colored Vans snapback, and at the bottom a black pair of Hunter rain boots.

After every item I pulled out I didn’t know whether to be mad at him for spending entirely too much money or ecstatic that he paid attention to the things I was angry about not being able to find. When I was done I surveyed the items in front of me and looked to Jamie my face just as confused as my head, "Jame…You spent way too much babe, I don't need all of this." "C'mere," He pulled me up off the floor with him and led me out onto the back patio, leaving his family in the living room. I had no idea what he was doing, and I'm sure they didn't either. When we got outside he pulled me in by my waist, looking into my eyes with a serious expression on his face.

"You may not need all of those things but I want you to have it, If I could give you the world Kieran I would." I gazed into his dark eyes, "Jamie, it's to-" I tried to speak but Jamie clearly wasn't done.

"Kieran O'Reilly, I love you. I've loved you since the day we started over in Tyler's kitchen, when you finally gave in and talked to me, hell maybe since the day we first met even. I knew for sure the day I saw you at work, excited to save a dog's life, you're amazing Kieran and I love everything about you and I just want you to know that. You deserve the world, and I know I'm probably freaking you out, but I had t-" Before he could finish, as tears rolled out of my eyes I grabbed the sides of his face, "I love you too, and yeah I am scared Jamie." I paused, looking down at my feet slowly I looked back up and began again "I am so scared, but you promised you wouldn't hurt me, and I'm trusting you with my heart Jamie."

A smile broke out over his face, I could feel his cheeks rise beneath my hands, "I'll never break that promise." he spoke quietly and slowly as he leaned in to kiss me, pulling back he tugged on his bottom lip with his teeth. "How much would you hate me if I told you that you had one more present?" I rolled my eyes, removing my hands from his face, "Seriously Benn, do you have a shopping problem!?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out the little blue box every girl wants to see, "Maybe. And, my sister said I couldn't not buy you jewelry." I took the box from his large hand, my heart beating at an unhealthy rate. Inside was a pair of gorgeous moonstone earrings with rose gold and sterling silver accents. "Jamie, they're beautiful." "Not as beautiful as my girlfriend," I looked up from the box trying not to laugh. "Yeah, well my boyfriend's cheesy," I said with a giggle before kissing him with all the passion I had in me, "I love you Jamie Benn."
