Prove Me Wrong.

'Kieran's POV'

Today's the day. My bags are packed, my brain is full, and for as nervous as I am I feel that I'm ready. My flight to San Diego leaves at 5 pm and Tyler has insisted on driving me to the airport. I had just hung up the phone with my mom who had called to wish me good luck and to remind me to text her when I landed when I heard the door open. "In here Ty," I called out as his head poked around the corner, "You ready?" he asked. I nodded, "As I'll ever be," I spoke as I slid out of my chair. I grabbed my purse, duffel, and garment bag and took one last look around the apartment.

"I can do this, right Ty? Please tell me I can do this," He reached for the bags and threw them over his shoulders, "Hey, look at me.." I turned, "You're going to ace this test Kieran, you've studied your ass off! I believe in you. You can do this." Wrapping my arms around his torso I hugged my best friend tightly, "Thank you, if I can't hear it from him I needed to hear it from you." I felt a laugh rumble through Tyler's body, "Jeez, Kier glad I'm just a replacement." I shook my head, "Come on Seguin, you know what I mean.."

Tyler threw my bags into the back of his car as I climbed in the passenger's seat, my mind wandering to what Jamie was doing right now. Did he remember that I was leaving today? "You know you did say emergencies were allowed, and I think you're having one." "What?!" I asked looking over at Tyler a grin on his face. "I can see it, you don’t want to get on that plane without seeing him. Call in your emergency, you need to see him." He was right, I needed a hug and to hear him at least say goodbye. I looked down at my phone in my lap, "He's at home Kieran, just text him." I slid the phone unlocked and typed in Jamie's name for the first time in weeks.

*EMERGENCY… I need to see you before I leave.*

As Tyler pulled out of the parking lot I stared at the screen, when the bubbles appeared I felt like I was going to puke. What if he said no? The phone vibrated, *I'm home..* I smiled, "Can you swing by Jamie's?" Tyler smirked, "I was taking you there whether you liked it or not Kier."

'Jamie's POV'

Sitting out in my backyard I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, my heart nearly fell out of my chest when I saw her name on the screen. The bolded word beneath it scared me even more, EMERGENCY. What was wrong? She was leaving today, nothing bad was supposed to happen today. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw what her so called emergency was, she needed me. Pacing through the kitchen I was nervous for her to get here, what did she need from me? Just to see me? Or to yell at me some more, was she going to end it right now before she even left? I was psyching myself out, but that’s what she does to me, she knows how to get in my head.

I heard Tyler's car pull into the driveway but he stayed in the car, this was going to be quick she had a plane to catch. I watched her walk up the steps, and i pulled the door open before she even had a chance to knock. She stood in front of me, her bottom lip between her teeth, "Hi," she finally said and I moved out the doorway so she could step inside. "What's wrong baby?" I asked, hoping she didn’t get pissed at me for calling her baby. I could hear the air leaving her lungs, she was nervous, "I couldn't get on that plane without seeing you, without telling you goodbye.." She stepped closer to me, limiting the gap between us, "I need you Jamie."

I didn’t know what to say, she wasn’t leaving me. She, Kieran O'Reilly the girl with all the walls had admitted that she needed me, and even after I had broken my promise she wasn’t running away. "Please say something," she whispered as I stared at her my mouth open. I had no words, but I needed her too. One step and there was no space between us, she wrapped her arms around my waist melting into my body. For the first time in weeks I felt whole again, she was a part of me.

I held her tight in my arms for a few minutes, not wanting to let her go before I spoke, "I need you too, I love you Kieran, you know I didn't mean it." She moved her face from my shoulder, tilting her head back to look at me, "I know and I love you too, but we still need to talk when I get back J.." I nodded, kissing her on the forehead "Okay, but don’t think about that right now. You gotta focus."

Her pink lips tugged into a smile, "You know, I think I need some good luck," she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck, her fingers knotting in my hair sending chills down my spine. I leaned down, my lips hovering over hers, our bodies so close I could hear and feel her swallow, "What do you want Kieran?" Her hands tugged the ends of my hair, "Kiss me Benn." When her lips met mine it was like the first time all over again, the kiss was slow but full of everything we had missed out on in the past weeks. Her mouth was just as hungry as mine, I could have kissed her all day holding her tight against me by her hips. But she reluctantly pulled away laughing as she caught her breath, "I'd love to continue this, but I have a plane to catch."

Grabbing her hand I opened the door, leading her back outside. "Good luck babe, you got it." She smiled, and wrapped her arms around my shoulders, "Thank you, I love you Jamie." Squeezing her one last time I let her go, "I love you more, bye Kier. Text me when you land." She opened the door and climbed into the seat, I could see Tyler grinning like an idiot he must have pushed her to come here. Shutting her in I waved as the car backed down the driveway. When she came back I was going to have my girl back in my arms and I couldn’t be any happier.
