My Knight in Shining Armor

The Legend of Jonathan Toews

Jonathan Toews, with a slick hair cut and looking extremely dashing and knightly, is on horse-back, galloping across some beach in a fairy tale kingdom sort of entrance. He appears to be on a mission and is focused, as he rides on. He tosses his head and flashes a smile to the side. There is a twinkle in it, as it is perfectly white. His clothing is similar to Galavant's or any other live-action knightly type.

He and the black horse slow to a trot, as they enter the small cliche village, where he is living. He begins to come in and pass through the village, as the peasants around begin to sing along with narrator.

“Way back in days of old
There was a legend told
About a hero known as Jonathan!”
Jamie Benn begins to sing, as he pops up and starts to follow Jonathan and the horse through the village.

“Square jaw and perfect hair,” a cliche peasant female with blonde hair and a muffin hat sang, stepping out of her cottage to dump some water on the ground.

Jamie and Jonathan continue through the village, waving to everyone. They pass an older gentleman vender guy. There is a mini-market set up. Baskets hold different kinds of fruits and vegetables like pumpkins, cabbages, carrots and corn.

“Cojones out to there,” the man says, as he holds up two fruits in his hands at his chest.

In the background, kids are running around in excitement, like there is nothing happening or nothing wrong.

“There was no hero quite like Jonathan!” all the peasants sing, as they welcome Jamie and Jonathan.

“Tough, plus every other manly value,” a blacksmith, working on his busily on his project sings, looking up as the two pass by. Sparks shoot into the sky with his work.

A trio of little kids, fresh off some kind of adventure, stomp in rhythm to the song, singing, “Mess with him, he'll disembowel you.”

“Yay, he ruled in every way!” another older peasant woman exclaims, bursting from her cottage to check out the chaos happening and the arrival of Jonathan Toews.

The two continue on, spotting the woman, who waves back at them kindly waving a cloth or handkerchief around. Jonathan valiantly waves back at her and then awkwardly stops, as he looks upon a peasant man stuck in the town woodstock, obviously being punished, a common medieval character. Jonathan chuckles and covers his mouth with his hand in amusement at him.

“A fairy-tale cliche,” the man in the woodstock sings.

Jonathan reaches his destination and jumps off his horse, as everyone gathers around him and shouts/sings: “And people called him Jon-a-than!” He is raised into the air by the village people and cheered. He is grinning the entire time.

As he is lowered back down once more, a smaller man runs toward him. This man is dress in an elbow-length white shirt with baggy black pants that tuck into a pair of black boots. He is clean-shaven and young looking, almost like a teen pop star or movie star. Jonathan seems to recognize him.

“Jonathan!” the man screams, darting forward, eagerly.

“Tyler!!” the dark brunette cries and wraps his arms around the pale-skinned man, picking him up off the ground a bit and spinning him around.

“The man we're speaking of,
He had a boyish love,
And Tyler Seguin, he was one fair ‘maiden’!”
Jamie continues to sing as the narrator.

They share a kiss and then Jonathan helps Tyler onto the back of his horse and they once again leave the village, heading off. They head to the grass hills and cliffs beside the beach and the village in the kingdom, with Tyler clinging to Jonathan gleaming and bursting with positive energy. His arms are wrapped around his lover’s stomach and waist and he has his head resting against Jonathan’s strong, manly shoulder. They reach their destination on the cliff and there, Tyler jumps off and gazes out at the water, grinning largely.

He spins around, as Jonathan gets off his horse as well. They gaze into one another’s eyes, Tyler cocking a cute pose for his knight, as they step toward each other in a classic slow motion build up.

“Long legs and perfect skin
A body built for sin
With curves you could hold a whole parade in!”
Jamie sings.

Tyler jumps into Jonathan’s arms and they kiss again, romantically.

“Ah, true love was never this, this ecstatic
Nor as wildly acrobatic
Yes! He loved him to excess
Thrice daily more or less
And he'd be screaming,”

"Jon-a-than!" Tyler yelps as Jonathan gently squeezes his butt, shocking him. He looks at his “hero,” who is laughing at him.

They ride back to the village and stop off in the circle, where Jonathan quickly looks into getting some food for them. He is talking to one of the town vendors. As he does so, Tyler runs his hand through his hair and flirts with all the villagers passing by. He is holding the “shopping basket” for the food in his hands. But he soon even catches the eye of one certain royal figure, who enters the small medieval village. Tyler flexes for one of the girls, unbeknowingly drawing the interest of Queen Taylor, who leans out the window.

“One tiny problem soon would arise:
Taylor, a nearby queen of wealth and stature,
She watched Tyler Seguin, lust in her eyes,”
Jamie sings.

Taylor gets out of her carriage and comes over to Tyler. She attempts to woo him and ask for his hand, while Jamie sings, “And she asked him for her hand.” He declines her offer.

“Well, more like a demand,” Jamie sings, as Taylor yells at Tyler, making him uncomfortable and squeamish. He looks down at his feet, but then musters his courage and voice and prepares to bite back at the Queen, who signals to her henchmen. “Well, more like had her henchmen snatch him!” The closest man, who was around, grabs Tyler’s wrist and lifts him up and over his shoulder.

Tyler is carried off to the carriage, screaming and kicking. He is forcibly shoved into the carriage and then joined by the Queen, who has Tyler’s wrists bound in front of him. He lurches for the door, but is forced back, as the carriage starts up.

“Jonathan, help!” Tyler cries, before he is silenced by the Queen’s henchman’s hand, clamping in place over his mouth. “Mmmmffmm!”

Jonathan drops his conversation and spins around. “TYLER!” The peasants around them all gasp and begin to gossip, pointing at him with worry. He jumps smoothly onto his horse and races after the carriage. But he loses the sight of the carriage and instead returns to the village.

The next day,

Jamie is standing below the castle, just outside of the drawbridge, as Jonathan gallops up on his black steed to the rescue. He begins to sing again, picking up another verse to the song,

“Which brings us to today
The royal wedding day
No one can stop it now but Jonathan
Poor Tyler Seguin waits
Behind Queen Taylor's gates
For the arrival of his Jonathan!”

While the verse above is sung, Jonathan enters the castle and sneaks in like a typical fairy tale hero or knight. He fights and takes out the guards stationed around the place.

Meanwhile, as the song continues on, at the same time, Queen Taylor is getting ready for the wedding day, barking orders and having everything set up, as she sits, smirking in her chair, already crafted and dressed up for the event. She is in a long white wedding gown, with a sparkling veil and her hair is in curls.

“Now, at last, begins our true adventure
Epic, wild, a real butt-clencher!
So, huzzah and tally ho!
Sit back and here we go!
Attend the tale of…”

Tyler steps up to the barred tower window and peers out at the kingdom. “Jonathan!” the handsome young captive prince shouts, as everyone and Jamie sing with him.

Notes

What happens in my head...? Oy vey.
I apologize for this ahead of time and the extreme cheesiness. But work and go with me here, this is a story I am proud of and excited to do.
I loved Galavant, I thought it was cute and funny and well-executed. And you know me, huge fan of musicals. Okay, so this is based on that mini-series from ABC.
I hope you don't mind it and find it funny, because when I watched the episode with the song, "Maybe You're Not the Worst Thing Ever," I thought of Jonny and Kaner singing that to each other and then it branched into this idea and for once was not based on a dream I had, but rather an idea sparked by a TV show song. :P

@ukiss
You can call it whatever you want, but the way I see it, this site is called hockeyfanfiction and it is where people can post ideas that they have. There's no rule about what kind of stories those have to be. And if I want to write these I can, because it's fucking fan fiction. And I'll tell you again, you don't have to read ANY of these. And you certainly don't EVER put someone down like this. It is your opinion. If you don't like it, don't read it. I don't go and post mean comments to others who write all the romance-drama tales that always end up with someone getting pregnant. Grow up and get over yourself.

SO YOU GUYS WANNA SEE SOMETHING REAL MESSED UP????
Here's a visual for the pairing we'll call Tazler:

EWWWWWW!!!!! Right?
Just remember this though...BergyxTyler is a thing apparently and I had the unfortunate pleasure of reading that ugly pairing, so....Tazler compared to that is a little better, but still can't beat the Kazer, which is coming up! XP
