Karly could barely contain her excitement. She had met Sidney Crosby. Even better they had exchanged numbers and were going to hang out. Karly went her cousin's again for supper and after was helping Nikki do the dishes. "Karls, what's up? You seem distracted." Nikki said

"I am kind of. I meet someone, when I was out for a run." Karly said

"Really?! Who?" Nikki asked

"This guy...he is really sweet and we exchanged numbers." Karly said, she wasn't sure if she should tell Nikki who she really met, just this yet.

"Wow! That's so awesome! I'm glad you've made a new friend." Nikki said smiling

Karly smiled "Yeah...friend." she repeated hoping that she and Sidney would become more than that.

"So I was at this party the other night and my ex Tyson was there and he was all over this chick Stacie and ugh...It was so annoying." Nikki said

Karly nodded "Yeah some guys can be real jerks." she agreed remembering her last boyfriend, Christian, star soccer player at UCLA. He had cheated on her while at a "soccer camp"

"I mean I can't believe Lindsay invited them. She knows about me and Tyson, but she was all 'Logan and Tyson are friends.' Whatever...she couldv'e told her boyfriend 'no' for once." Nikki complained

Just then Karly's phone went off she looked down at the ID and smiled "I have to take this." she said going to the porch and answering the phone "Hi!"

"Hey. So I couldn't wait to talk to you again." Sidney replied. Karly's heart skipped a beat, was this really happening? "So I was wondering if you are busy? I'd like to take you out for ice cream."

"I'd love to! Can you pick me up at my place in half an hour?" Karly asked

"Sure! Where do you live?" he asked

"I live on the corner of Chestnut and Collins." she replied

"No way! That's two blocks from my place...well technically my owner's place, but...yeah I know right where that is. I'll see you in a bit." he said

"Okay." Karly replied then they both hung up. "Aunt Caroline, I hate to eat a run, but I met a friend this morning and he just called and we're going out for ice cream. So I'm going to head home."

"Oh that's wonderful, dear, have fun. Don't get in too much trouble." her aunt said

Karly nodded then headed home. She changed into jeans and a nicer shirt and put her hair in a messy bun. She applied light make-up and then the door-bell rang. Karly smiled and went to answer the door...
