Today is Marc's birthday and tonight is a highly anticipated game against the Rangers, which Marc could not be any more excited about. For the longest time, I had no idea what to get him for his birthday, but a few days ago, I found the perfect gift. I bought him a Flip Camera that I secretly wanted to buy just for me, but that's selfish and I'm sure he'll let me use it from time to time. I had some time to see him after their morning practice, so I made the quick decision to give him his gift now, rather than later. I arrived at his house about a half hour after he came home and knocked on the door in my signature style.

"Happy Birthday!" I said hugging him.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

We walked inside.

"How did practice go this morning?"

"Very well. It was fun. Anything new?" he said with a smile after we sat down in his living room.

"Nothing really, between last night and this morning." I replied, laughing.

"That was a stupid question, wasn't it?"

"Yeah, but you were being polite too. Don't forget about that."

He nodded.

"Anyways, I brought you your present."

"I get it now?"

"I thought it'd be better than waiting till after the game."

"You have a point there."

I handed the nicely wrapped present to him and he smiled as he began unwrapping. He was speechless when he saw what it was.

"Thank you! This is fucking awesome."

"You're welcome. I thought you'd like it. It took me the longest time to find you the 'perfect gift'."

He cocked his head and licked his lips.

"You didn't have to look so hard to find the 'perfect gift'. I would've been happy with practically anything or nothing at all, actually."

I gave him a look.

"Shut up. It's your birthday."

"But..."

I then proceeded to kiss him.

"Like I said. Shut up."

I laughed.

"Anyways, I'm so gonna take this with me tonight." he said with a smirk.

"I figured you would."

After three hours had passed, I left, so Marc could get ready to head to Mellon Arena and I could as well. Maddy picked me up from my apartment for a change and we headed to the Mellon around five in case of traffic. Shortly before the game, I got a text from Marc.

"Who is it?" Maddy asked.

"Marc."

I had an odd look on my face. He never sent me any messages when a game was this close to starting.

I have something to show you later. You're gonna love it! I love you!

I shook my head and laughed.

Cool! Can't wait to see what it is! I love you too!

"What was that about?"

"He told me that he has something to show me later. He's so weird."

"I'm assuming that it has something to do with the Flip Camera you got him."

"Yeah. Well, he told me that he was taking it with him tonight. I can't even imagine what's going to be on it."

"Let me know tomorrow what it is and tell him I said happy birthday. I totally forgot to text or call him today."

"Will do." I said with a smile.

I was even more excited now. How that is, I will never know. After the Rangers scored first, the Penguins pretty much dominated the rest of the game, scoring eight goals with Sid getting a hat trick; seeing the hats falling to the ice like a snow shower was beautiful and amazing. Once the game was over, Maddy headed home and I went down to the locker room to wait for Marc. When I came in, he was impatiently waiting for me; I assumed he kept looking at the door, hoping to see me. It was terribly adorable if I do say so myself.

"Hey. Awesome game." I said as I sat beside him.

"Thanks. It was so much fun." he said with a huge smile.

"You're welcome. Umm...what is it that you wanted to show me?"

"I'll show you when we get home."

I whined.

"Ok. I guess that I can wait."

He just laughed at me and kissed me on the cheek.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

The trip home was very short and I was anxious; I wanted to see the video terribly. After we arrived at his house, we went inside and he quickly changed before we sat in his room.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes. Duh."

He set up his tv, so we could watch it on there.

"Finally." I said.

"Wait...did you know that it was a video?"

"Figured it was, since you said that you were going to take it with you later."

"Oh. I should've known."

"Yes. You should have." I said while laughing.

"Shut up."

"Can't do that."

I stuck my tongue out. He pushed me down on the bed and pinned my arms so I couldn't move or escape.

"Will you let me go?"

"No."

"No? Why the fuck not?"

"Because I don't want to."

I made a face. When he starting cracking up, I did as well. He leant down to kiss me and as soon as he let go of my wrists, I pulled him down on top of me.

"I love you." he said.

"I love you too."

"We're so strange, aren't we?"

"That's the understatement of the year."

"Ok. Can we watch this now?" I said with a laugh after a moment.

"Yes. I'll just press play."

He got off of me and we sat back down on his bed, then he proceeded to press play.
It was a ten minute video of Marc and the guys dancing and goofing off before the game. I busted out laughing and Marc pulled me closer to him, not letting go of his strong hold on me. There was also a part with the guys ragging on him because he was talking about me so much; Marc was blushing like crazy and it made me want to kiss him. At the end of the video, I kissed him then I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I'm assuming you loved it?"

"Yes. I loved it so much. You guys crack me up and you're a complete sweetheart; I loved the guys ragging on you for that."

"This just may be the greatest birthday that I've ever had. Thank you." he said with a smile.

"You're welcome. Today was one of the funnest days that I've had in quite a while."
